Hi ladies

So 6 days of stimulating and I am feeling really dizzy- has anyone else felt this. I didn't respond to the original dose of menopur and so for the last 3 days I have taken a double dose of the stims without Lupron but today I feel like I have a fog in my head and I am floating and some belly cramps not sure if this is normal, good or bad. BW tomorrow to see if estrogen has risen. God I hope its good news- this has been such a tough journey for us- 1 month after we began TTC I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and had to have my cervix removed. I do have a permanent abdominal cerclage so I can get preggnant just need a C-section to deliver. So in short, between having cancer and infirtility the past 3 years have been tough and we really need some good news. I have been in remission for 2 years now (thank God) and I never had chemo so I am healthy now but DH has morphology issues and so we were told IVF is the way to go.
How did everyone else feel through their stimulating days? any major side effects?

Annashope- I don't know about the dizziness. Did you ask your RE about it? If you aren't on Lupron how are they going to keep you from ovulating? I am assuming they would be really monitoring your blood work if that were the case. I'm so sorry to hear about what you have been through, truly, life is so hard. We have been through the fire too, our IVF last year worked, but sadly after our baby boy was born he passed away at 8 days old...he contracted bacterial meningitis, and the dr.'s didn't listen to us when we were concerned for him...so we lost him because of it. I will pray for things to go well for you, sounds like you deserve some happiness. I hope you feel supported through this board. :) I want to encourage you that if you have any questions, pick up the phone and call your RE to ask. One thing I learned is to be pushy if there are questions, make what you need to know, known...I will never be silent again. We stand to lose to much.

Annashope and mellow- I am so sorry to hear about both our your situations.

As for the stimming I didn't know about the dizziness either. You may really want to call the RE and ask just to be safe. At the beginning I felt bad asking the RE so many questions, but came to realize its what needs to be done. They know what's going on and its not a bad thing to ask questions to be safe and knowledgeable. It may just be because of the high dose that you are on, but who knows.
Good luck with everything and hopefully its just a dizzy spell and won't last the whole time.

Dinagin- day 1 and I'm already tired of laying around the house. Any suggestions?

For those of you already through the 2ww how much activity did you actually do? I've tried staying in bed or on the couch but even when I cough I think I may shake the embryos out (I know this sounds dumb). Just didn't know how long I should lay around before transitioning back to normal life.

Mellow4

Thanks so much for your kind words and I am so sorry to hear about all that you have had to go through. My son who is 9 now was born with a rare condition where a piece of his intestines did not develop and so by day 4 after birth he became very sick. His intestines ruptured and he only survived by the grace of God. I remember how much I had to convince the Dr since I was a first time mom no one would listen to me until the baby had to be placed into NICU and had emergency surgery. So ever since then I do try to ask a million questions and be a pest.

My RE gave me a list of side effects and dizziness was a side-effect for Lupron but not for stims. I am seeing the Dr tomorrow so I will definitely ask and hopefully we see some growing follies already

For the ladies on the 2ww good luck and I was gonna suggest what about all of the chick flick movies that most of our husbands never want to watch...lol this is a perfect excuse to watch them

Looks like june is indeed a special month..and prayers for all the other ladies who are in the 2ww for a BFP.

Did any of you gain wait with all the hormone stimulation drugs or medications? I did add on a 5lbs during the treatment and now it seems to be steadily increasing and its causing a major concern for me. How is the weight looking for all u ladies with a bfp?

Day 2 and I'm officially bored. After 5 rented movies and all meals in bed or on the couch I realize that "bedrest" really isn't all its cracked up to be. Even though I thought I could go back to work tomorrow, my DH is refusing to let me- so looks like I will be working from home. The papers they gave me said bed or couch rest for 3 days and then minimal activity for 2 weeks. I feel like with my DH being anal about every little movement I make- its going to be a long 2ww.

So I went for bw and u/s today and since thurs we went from 1 follie to 4. At first the nurse said that most likely this cycle would be canceled and I must admit we were very upset, but when the RE called he explained that estrogen has tripled since Thursday (we stopped lupron on thurs) and so he wants to continue with the stims til Wed and check again. We are so nervous now I just really hope and pray that estrogen continues to rise. I am on 600 units of Menopur (which I know is a really high dose) and the nurse explained that they expected better results from a 28 year old :( Anyways, has anyone else been in a similar situation? My estrogen was 35 on Thursday and it is 98 today and if so did it go up later? My RE blames Lupron and says that I simply responded to Lupron too well .

Anyone please I really need some advice here, I have responded so well to clomid with my iui's and we are doing this because of male factor so I am not sure why this is so difficult.

I go in for my beta tomorrow but it is not looking promising. All HPT's have been negative so I have little hope! Today was a really hard day as it was one of my best friends baby showers. I didn't want to be "that" friend that can't go to anything baby related. The timing really stunk!!! I cried before and after the shower and am trying to wrap my head around doing this all again.

I am a teacher so if they let us start right away it will be right around the beginning of school. Not a time that I want to be taking off! I know I am very lucky to have the summer off to focus so I am not complaining. This year has been so hard for us personally and I was just hoping that we would be given this one bright spot for our families!

So sorry for being a downer but no one else knows what this process is like!! Thanks for listening to my rant!!!

Hspiggy- I understand completely about the baby shower stuff. I have a friend having a shower soon so I went ahead and went to babiesrus before the transfer friday. I was in a good mood and figured I should go get her gifts while I still felt that way. I'm hoping for the best at your appointment tomorrow. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Annashope- I'm so sorry you are going through this. All you can do is wait and hope that the e2 levels continue to rise. It's supposed to be 150-600 per mature follicle. The good news is that it was going up. Mine started rising slow as well, and by the end of the first week of stims it was looking a lot better. I will be praying for you. Keep your chin up. :)

Hspiggy- I'm sure you must be frustrated, I hope they will let you get into another cycle before your school year starts back up. How nice to have this time off to take it easy, I just wish you would have better news right now so you could enjoy it more. Hang in there, we are all pulling for you.

HSPIGGY- im so sorry you are feeling blue ...just wait till beta tomorrow ,i know its hard but try not to dwell on it you are definantly still in the running .it could just be that your hgc level is going up slowly and hasnt reached the point to trigger the hpt. remember the blood test is suppose to find it soonest and i dont know about you but my clinic recomends not even taking an hpt just for that reason.....please keep us informed and try to stay busy while waiting for that beta results phone call!!!!! you r in my prayers!!
as are all of you ladies!!!
good luck

hspiggy79 - I commend you for going to your friends shower, it was a very selfless act. I have a friend that has gone through alot of years of infertility. When I was pregnant with my DD she never came to my baby shower or her first birthday  I understood why she didn't come, but I thought since we were so close, she would share in my DD's day. I still am friends with her but I will never forget important moments of my life, she wasn't there for me. I hope your friend really appreciates what a true friend you are :D Good luck tomorrow with your beta. Baby dust to you :)
