Millersmommy - The best thing to do right now is relax, stay hydrated, and rest. I'll keep you and your baby in my prayers.

Janice - Congrats on the BFP!!!

As for me, I had my second Beta on Sunday and it was 680 at 13dp3dt!!!! I'm thrilled with the number. Don't know if that means single or twins but I'm happy just to have a climbing beta #.

Two interesting things have happened: Dr doesn't want to do another Beta. Thinks numbers are good enough and we don't need to retest. Has anyone else's Dr recommended this route? The second thing is that during my scan they found 3cm of fluid in my pelvis and my ovaries are 5.5com each. I'm on restricted activity because they don't want them to twist but has anyone else had this happen to them too?

Millersmommy- I'm so sorry you don't feel you have any answers yet. I know how frustrating that is, having been through it a time or two myself. All you can do is wait, and know that there is always the possibility that it was too early to see the sac. How far along are you, I don't remember your dates? Has the bleeding stopped, or continued? I have had it go both ways with bleeding, so there really is always hope, as long as you are aware that the other side is a reality too. There is nothing easy about any of this, and my heart breaks for you. Hang in there, and we are here if you need us.

daisymae- Sometimes that is what happens after the retrievals, fluid builds up and with a pregnancy it continues before it goes away. I had it happen, also the ovaries being enlarged too, just do what they tell you and rest...and whatever you do don't be picking anything up. My sister in law had one twist, they were able to save her ovary but the tube was mangled, she said it hurt pretty bad. Congratulations on a great 2nd beta number. A lot of RE's won't do a 3rd beta if the second one shows a good rise in numbers...so take that as great news. :)

Thread crashing...

Millersmommy-when I was a little over 5 weeks I was at the mall and was having some persistent cramping. When I went to the bathroom my underwear was covered with red blood and I passed 4-5 HUGE blood clots...I went in the next morning and the RE saw a yolk sac but was too early for a hb. My beta was still going up and I had bleeding/spotting the next few days but eventually the next week saw the hb! I am now 18 weeks preggers so keep your hopes up! I drank tons of water and tried to stay off my feet as much as possible.

Good luck

Millersmommy- sorry again to hear that the doctor couldn't give you a full explanation. It sounds from others that its not necessarily a bad thing, so as hard as I am sure it is just keep your head up. Hopefully you will get good news tomorrow.

Dinagin- 3dpt and I'm sure like me, every single twitch, or pain makes me think one of the embryos is implanting. I worked from home today, but am back tomorrow (and glad to be out of bed).

Best of luck to everone and welcome to the new people.

millersmommy- Did they see a sac and just not the yolk sac? There is always a chance that at exactly 5 weeks it would be too soon to see a sac and a yolk sac. There is always hope. Like I said I had a lot of bleeding before, and hcg numbers that were no longer rising normally and still went on to have a happy healthy bouncing baby girl 11 years ago. The hardest part is the waiting. Your beta number results should give some sort of idea as to what is going on...there is a chance you may even need another beta after this one before you know for certain what is happening. Bleeding sometimes happens, and there is not always an explanation to why. Just try to rest, and remain hopeful. You are in my thoughts, and prayers.

Millermommy - When my nurse wanted to schedule my ultrasound, she said 5 weeks is too early and asked me to give in another 5 days to come in for an ultrasound to see the yolksac. My u/s is scheduled on 5 weeks days.
I have also heard bleeding is common during pregnancies. Fingers crossed for your beta tomorrow.

Millersmommy- I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and saying extra prayers!
All of you with BFP's- I hope everything continues to go well and you have wonderful pregnancies!!!
Everyone waiting to test- Keep positive and I am sending baby dust your way!

AFM- It's officially a BFN for us!! I am sad but spoke with the doc and she wants to start up again right away. I am happy about that because I think it would be harder for me emotionally to wait. I want to try and get in one more cycle before school starts again! We have an appt. with her next Tuesday to discuss the process and what potentially went wrong. She did say that she wants to change protocol and we will discuss it more in detail. I have to call with AF and start this roller coaster all over again! Thanks for all of the kind words and support. This has been so helpful during such a difficult time!!! Hoping for the best for all of you!

hspiggy- I have been thinking about you all day, and was hoping you would have good news. I am sorry that things didn't work out for you this cycle. Do they think the OHSS had anything to do with it? I hope you are able to get another cycle in before school begins. I know some people need to take time off between cycles to emotionally regroup, but I think I would want to do the same thing you are doing. Jump right back in, and start the crazy ride all over again. I wish you all the best the next time around. It will all be worth it one day!

Millersmommy - I'll keep you in my prayers. You are NOT a Debbie downer !!!!!! You are very upset and have every right to be. I also had a friend that did IVF and I do remember her having 2 episodes with heavy bleeding. She just had her baby this month. Try to take a deep breathe and relax. Hugs :)

hspiggy - I also was thinking about you. I'm glad you can cycle right away, that always made me feel better. This was my 5th attempt but 3rd cycle. Sometimes, it just takes longer for some of us. I know myself I had ALOT of problems with meds. I think I might of had some OHSS my first cycle and this fresh the RE closely monitored my estradoil level to around 3000 @ transfer. My first cycle it was @ 6000 or maybe higher, we transferred 2 blasts. My FET was a 2-cell and a 4-cell and I had a BFP but miscarried.I just know my estradoil messed everything up with my first cycle, especially with blasts to fail. Do something for yourself and make DH take care of you and wait on you hand and foot.

AFM - Thanks everyone for your support and well wishes. I am excited but scared/nervous, I hope I start to enjoy it !!! I want to tell my DD, but she was sooo upset I lost my last pregnancy. So I'll wait. I would loooove twins in some ways, but I already have hypertension and on meds for it. My pregnancy with my DD was rough, borderline pre-eclampsia. I'm not working anymore, which is a huge plus for my body. Especially since my job was very physical, so it would be nice to keep my feet up this pregnancy. I just can't wait to tell her. Maybe I'll wait another month. I would like to do something special to surprise her and tell her. She wants a play-mate sooo bad !!!!! She just loooves playing with other kids, and gets so upset when the kids leave. I definitely will go over to the other thread but will keep cheering all you ladies on of course. Can't get rid of me yet.
