Hi All,
I'm new to the site. I did my embryo transfer on June 24. They put 2 back in. They retrieved 10, 8 fertilized and only 3 looked good. I'm doing the progesterone suppositories and I don't think my readings are very good. Monday it was 6.10 and yesterday 6.80. I did a Lupron trigger so I don't know if that makes a difference. We've been TTC for over 5 years now. 8 IUI cycles, with 2 miscarriages..... I hate the 2WW. I'm really nervous about the progesteron being so low, but I've never not done the Ovidrel trigger. The Dr says my #'s are within range, but he increased me to 2 a day. Can anybody shed some light? You guys seem to know so much.

TDF- Wonderful news. :) What a great day for you!!

Derberdo- Hello and welcome. I have know idea why RE's do things differently. I had low numbers with just the suppositories, when doing my IUI's. Last time I was on just the PIO, and this time I am doing both PIO and suppository. Will they be checking your levels again? If you are uncomfortable and they aren't planning to check, just ask them to do it again...for your peace of mind. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you, but I don't think there is one right now. Hang in there and keep your chin up! :)

Mellow I'm sorry to hear that you lost your son. Nothing can prepare you for that. It must be scary to start over, my heart goes out to you. I'm really glad to hear that 6 of your eggs were fertilized, it only takes one good one. Is this your first IVF? Looking forward to the next few days of information....

DandMe- No this is my second IVF, the first one, last year resulted in the pregnancy with our son that passed away early this year. It is hard to not be fearful, but, we know this was one of those fluke things that happened, nothing we did wrong. It's actually a one in a million type of case. He just got a bacteria and the Dr. didn't catch it, even though there were signs. My arms will always ache for him, but we have hope for a happy future. :) He was a beautiful boy. Looking forward to good news, and happier times. Hoping the report today brings some good strong embryos.

Do you mind telling me what his name and birthday was? You must miss him every hour of every day. To endure infertility and then have your boy taken is something that I can't even begin to relate to. I think you are very brave to try again so quickly and be able to reach out to others. I'm also looking forward to some good news for you today. Does your clinic do three or five day transfers?

I had a blighted ovum last time we did IVF. It was difficult and although I am very hopeful about this new pregnancy, I have moments of fear that this will also just go away in one breath.

Hi Ladies,

Annashope: I'm having a retrieval Sat July 3rd. I'm excited & nervous too. I have to take 2 ovidrels tonight & go for bloodwork & Ultrasound tomorrow morning. We may go the same day. My nurse says I have 6 eggs so far there may or may not be more by my scan tomorrow. We'll see. Good Luck!! I'll keep you posted & please keep us posted. :D

TDF: That's great news!!! Congrats!!

Marnry: That's great you have 11 good ones. They told me I have 6 eggs so far. I do my trigger tonight & on Sat. I go for my ER. Good luck!! Let us know when your retrieval is..

Narly: Congrats on your BFP!!!! :D

Millersmom: So glad to hear that it's turned out to be great news. I was a little concerned about your bleeding, but to be on this forum does lift up your spirits. I'm so glad I found it. There were woman who went through the bleeding like you did & still were pregnant & had the babies. All the best to you!!

I have my retrieval Saturday morning @ 10:30. Always a nervous person to be put under. I'll be glad when it's over & hear how many eggs & then embryos. I have an all day wedding tomorrow. My cousin is getting married so I asked my nurse about the drinking not for me beacause I'm not a drinker but my husband sure is. She said absolutely no drinking for us. I wasn't planning on it for me but I'm concerned about my DH. He's the type that just can't have just one. I already told him, he's not too happy...I can't wait til the ER is over...Then I can concentrate on hopefully becoming pregnant. I have to go tomorrow morning for bloodwork & ultrasound to see how I'm progressing. So far I have 6 eggs & tomorrow will determine if I have more. When I had my scan done today the RE had trouble seeing my right ovaries. He did an outer scan & then noticed the folicles are high up. If they don't go down then they have to go thru my bellybutton. Not sure if I like that. So hopefully they go down by then. Did anyone ever have that happen to them? If so, what did the RE do?

Thanks for listening & being supportive!!! Baby Dust to All!!

TDF- How exciting! Congrats again.

tryn4#2- Im so sorry to hear about your BFN. Keep your head up and know we are all here to talk if you need anything.

annpage-Welcome. I am just like you and freak out when I am "put under." I usually end up having a panic attack right as they start to wheel me back. With my retrieval, I was surprisingly ok though. I remember walking back to the table, and laying where they directed me and thats about it. I didnt freak out at all. Im not sure whether it was because I was sooo excited, anxious or because I felt comfortable with the MD and Nurse practitioner. Either way, its not bad so dont stress. You wil be sore afterwards (if you arent already because of the extra follicles), but it gets better each day. As for your DH drinking, I really dont know that a drink or two the day before will have very drastic effects. When my DH saw his Urologist he said the sperm regeneration cycle can take up to 70 days (or something crazy like that), so technically I think the sperm collected saturday would be from 2 1/2 months ago. With that said, knowing that you all are paying so much to have something like this done, hopefully he understands and doesnt want to chance anything anyway. Good luck Saturday and keep us posted.

Everyone else....how is the 2ww coming along for you all? I feel like Im already struggling and Im only 6 days in. I cannot stop thinking about when to test, what the results will be, etc. I really need to find a distraction. I would love to go on the 2 mile walks we used to go on every night, but my DH still refuses to let me do much until we get results back.

blair-I'm happy that my husband isn't the only one that has strict restrictions. I'm not going to lie, it has been nice to have him at my beck and call, but it is starting to drive me nuts. We went to the grocery store the other day and he dropped me off at the door. I'm capable of walking a few feet. Ridiculous!

Happy thoughts to everyone!!!

TDF - Wow that is so awesome!!!

Blairwh-I did my first HPT 7dp3dt, and it was positive. very faint plus sign but it was there. i couldnt believe it, so i did 3 on 8dp3dt and all positive. if you end up testing at home i would get a couple of different brands.

millersmommy- i know what you mean, i just snapped at my husband. oh well...i think i reserve that right..hahaha

narly- Just hearing you say that you tested on day 7 and got a positive got me soo excited. I want to test soooo badly, but I think I am too scared of getting a negative. Even though I know that a negative right now may be because its too early, just thinking about it is depressing. I may test tomorrow morning before my husband gets home from being on overnight call, and if its positive I will be able to give him a good surprise. If negative still I guess Ill hold off on telling him. I still cant decide when I should start the testing....either way I need to go get some more HPT. I guess I can get a variety and hope they all give me good results.

hilda- trust me...its bad. I cant carry the laundry basket, lift anything over a gallon of milk, or walk more than a block or two. I can already tell hes going to be like this the whole pregnancy too. I wouldnt be surprised if he had me do weigh ins to make sure I was gaining enough weight. I guess thats just what happens though. As annoying as it will be, as long as I am pregnant I guess Im ok with it.

Hows the 2ww going for everyone else? 7dp3dt today and Im thinking it may be a girly movie night tonight. Even though I watched a ton of movies last weekend when my DH wouldnt let me out of bed, I figure a movie, some popcorn, and maybe some shopping.

Hi All,

I have to agree that the 2 ww is monsterous!! I keep checking my symptoms. Like this morning I woke up and my breasts weren't as tender anymore. Well, that sent me into a tail spin. Arrrgghhh! I'm scared to take a pregnancy test yet. I want to, but am just too scared.

Blair - yes. my DH has done the same thing to me. He actually made me go sit down a the benches at the front of the supermarket because I had been walking for more than 20 mins. So sweet, but he does drive me crazy some times.

Congrats to all the ladies that have had BFP!! Hoping for more good news for everyone else.
