It's official! I'm in my 2ww! We transferred 2 excellent grade morulas this morning. So it was a day 4 transfer for me today, and I go in for a beta on the 12th. Thankfully I have company here to keep my mind off of the wait, but unfortunately I am on complete bed rest until Monday night. They also did assisted hatching this time, I didn't have to have it before. I think it's just a way for them to charge me more. haha Anyway, I bawled my eyes out when they were doing the transfer...after losing Johnny this year it is bittersweet.

Mellow4: Why do you have bedrest for so many days?

Just an update, I had my retrieval done yesterday it went well. Glad I made it through. They retrieved 8 eggs more than I thought, they originally said 6. Very Pleased!!! I got my call already from RE this morning, we have 5 embroyos. Our transfer will either be Tues or Thurs this week. So excited!!!!!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

annpage- My RE says to do 3 days of complete bed rest after a transfer. Some don't do any at all, so it makes me wonder why they do this. Anyway, I am no totally obeying, because I am on the couch partially sitting up, which they said was a no-no...but I can't lay flat for 3 days. Ridiculous. Have you received a report today on your embryos? Hope you get good news.

Hi everyone

So we did a retrieval today and we have 4 eggs. It wasn't as bad as I thought but the waiting for it really freaked me out. I was in the OR, strapped in and all before the sedation kicked in so a bit scared...Anyways thank God it went well and we got all 4 eggs. Now the nerves waiting for the phone call tomorrow to see how it went.. Oh please please please let it be good news.

annashope- so glad you got all 4 eggs. I will be praying that they all fertilize and grow strong.

I got a call that the other embryos aren't growing well enough to freeze, the embryologist said they wouldn't come out of a freeze and make it. Kinda sad, but happy to have 2 great quality embryos happily where they belong.

Mellow- Congrats on a good transfer. Hopefully one or both of those embryos stick. Best of luck in the 2ww and with the bedrest. I watched a lot of movies/tv and read magazines during those 3 long days.

Annashope- glad to hear your retrieval went well and you got 4 good eggs. Hopefully you will get a good report from the embryologist.

Annpage- I'm glad your retrieval went well and you got 8 eggs. Hopefully your 5 embryos will keep growing and you'll have some to freeze. Good luck with the transfer.

Afm- still in the 2ww. Waiting as long as possible before I test, just because I know a negative would be depressing. Hopefully I will get up the courage to test soon.

Anyone already pregnant- what's the latest you tested and got a negative? Trying to see how late I can test and still get a false negative.

ouch!!!! I just had my first progesterone shot. I numbed the area so I didn't feel when it went in which is good but I feell it now. My DH did it, I was bleeding after the shot. I think he was too rough. Does this happen to anyone? What do you suggest to ease the pain? I massaged it afterwards but I feel the tingling. I'm going to put a hot compress later or tomorrow. Waiting for Tuesday to hear if I go for a transfer that day. Excited!!

Annpage- the first few shots are the worse- but you get used to it. I bled the first few times too...and I told my husband he must not know what he's doing. I even bruised a couple times. But just wanted to tell you, as much as it may hurt right after the shot- it hurts worse the next day, so get ready. That's part of why you have to alternate sides. Luckily you can always tell which side you did more recently but feeling which is more sore.

blair-i tested and got a negative on day 9 and then that afternoon around 1 i tested again and got my first positive!!

i hope all you ladies are doing well and had a fabulous 4th of july. even though i havent been on here in two days it feels like an eternity......im wondering when do i jump on over to the pregnant after treatment site? and i cant wait to see you ladies there. as far as the shot go i found that if i dont rub it afterwards it doesnt hurt as much or bruise the next day.

well how many ladies do we have left to get there own bfp? i dont think there is too many

RE called and of the 4 eggs we have 2 embies!!!! please grow embies grow! As long as all goes ok transfer on Wed

Annashope: To numb the area before the shot I used an ice pack for like 20 minutes before. Actually it's the ice pack that the meds came with..lol. Let me tell you it really works because when my DH was rubbing alcohol before the shot I didn't feel it, it felt numb. I do suggest you do that : ) That's great about your embies!!! Grow embies grow!!! I'm waiting for a call tomorrow to see whenI go for my transfers. How are you feeling?

Thanks so much for the advice I will definitely try that tonight. I am ok feeling a little crampy still but my son is 10 today so I must celebrate...lol what about you how are your embies doing? how are you feeling? If all goes well my beta in the 18th so we will probably know about the same time and that is really exciting. I have to admit the shot tonight really scares me but as long as its for the babies its ok:)

P.S. I just found out that my sister is pregnant so if this works for us we will be pregnant at the same time and that would be so great

Today makes 10dp3dt and I got a negative. As much as I am trying to stay positive, its still beyond depressing to think that this cycle didnt work. Everything went exactly as planned so not sure why it wouldnt have worked. Since my beta isnt scheduled until Thursday, I keep telling myself that somehow Ill end up with a positive before then. Hard to ignore the negative though, especially since Im not feeling any different than normal. It does take longer to get a positive HPT with a 3 day transfer right?

blair - dont get bummed becouse it definantly does take a few days longer to show + on a 3 day .
