Well the POI has never really bothered me much before (outside of the normal soreness), but sometime last week I got a bruise from one of the shots and then I guess I didnt really rub the area afterwards, and this knot showed up. Its still ok on the Right side, but since we alternate sides every night its hard to find a spot not in the knot on the left side. I had actually decided on the shots over the suppositories, because I heard the suppo. were messy. I also know that they were 4 times the price of the shots. It doesnt itch at all, and doesnt really bother me unless we are doing another shot in that same area. I guess Monday when the MD calls with the results I will know if I even have to keep doing the shots (hopefully I do), and if so I will mention the lump.

oh ok blair well that doesnt sound like the same thing at all then...mine itches and knots up and with every shot it got worse and felt hot to the touch.the suppositories are not bad at all ,my body absorbes the progesterone at the location its needed so there really is not much mess at all. a panty liner does the trick,i am on crinone so that may make all the difference it is a paste in a tube verses a capsule.

Blair: I would definitely mention it to your RE if I were you. It's amazing so far the only thing about POI is nerve racking when it goes in but I have no soreness. I think my big butt all these years finally pays off...lol Good Luck!!

I am finding that I'm getting heartburn which is from the meds, I'm still on Methylpred & Doxycycline per day. It ends tonight can't wait. I have a sensitive tummy - too much meds.
I'm also getting hot flashes that last a while, I think from the progesterone injections. Are anyone having these issues?

Blair- I would definitely show your DR. I have had 2 bad experiences with PIO. The first was with sesame seed oil and had allergic reaction large hives all over my butt. It was weird it was after I had a BFN and stopped the med and 5 days later had the hives reaction.I had to go on steriods for awhile to get rid of the hives. Then I was put on cotton seed oil PIO was working well, till I had a large red swollen bruise which it was a hematoma. I was not allowed to use that side and then switched to suppositories every other day. It happened again and I was told it was another allergic reaction. The RE said my hematoma could of turned into an abcess.I switched to suppositories twice a day, which I LOVE :D Those PIO shots did not agree with me @ all. I do have to wear a liner every day, but it is sooo easy. I can bring them over family's houses go to the bathroom put it in and I'm done. Before with the PIO we would have to race home in time for my shot. We never ever tried anywhere else cause sometimes I really bled and it still hurt, plus the sharps caontainer wasn't with us. I would definitely show you DR to assess what it is , and make sure your okay.

Well I went this morning to get the second beta...but I dont feel very optimistic about it. I took another test this morning and it was still faintly positive, so as much as I want the beta to be on track, it seems unlikely at this point. Luckily the girl drawing my blood felt sorry for me and when I told her my DH was an MD she said he could call and get the results tomorrow afternoon. So I may not have to wait until Monday morning to find out. Fingers and toes crossed that it stays positive.

Blair- I'm sorry you feel so down, I hope you get better news than you are thinking. What a roller-coaster ride of emotions. I am on it too, and feeling down...I feel the same doubt and pain. Not feeling very hopeful for this cycle to have worked. Still negative on the hpt front, and I don't feel anything that would make me think it was successful. I hope I am wrong, that would be fantastic.

How is everyone this weekend?

Hi everyone how is everyone doing this weekend?

Blair hang in there and stay positive we are all praying for you.

AFM It has been 4 days since my transfer and I am going stir crazy. So has anyone else experienced insomnia as a symptom? I mean I have no problem falling asleep but I seem to wake every hour to use the bathroom. I wonder if this is common with Progesterone injections?

Hope everyone's weekend is going well.

annashope - I also had insomnia and looked up Prednisone (which RE had me on) which side effect is insomnia. I also saw an increase in urination too.

Keep your head up Blair- looks like you are pregnant :P I never really posted but I was BFN and have one frostie to try in August now but it wasn't a great quality embryo prior to freezing due to fragmentation but HEY it atleast made it to freeze. Just keeping my fingers crossed that it will survive thaw for us.

Well...I tested again this morning and got an even fainter positive. At this point I have pretty much given up on hoping that the beta yesterday was higher. I will probably take off the patch, stop the estrogen, and not do progesterone so AF can finally come. I guess now we just have to decide the next steps. Thanks again for all the support through this very difficult process.

Blair...sorry to butt in, but please dont lose hope just yet. Dont stop the meds yet. I have seen sooo many cases over the years of very low betas, slow rising betas, etc...as of right now, you are pregnant! I am hoping and praying for you! Hugs.

Blair~ don't give up just yet. I had abnormally rising betas 11 years ago, and had I done what the doctors wanted me to do, I wouldn't have my daughter. There is still some hope. :) Will be praying for you.

afm- negative again today at 8dp4dt. Beta is tomorrow, I am so disappointed at this point, I feel no signs that would say otherwise. After losing our son this year, I just want some hope and joy...wishing this could have worked.

Thank you Tammy. This magnifies the loss of our infant even more, it's hard to go through this and remain positive all the time... thankfully we paid for 2 cycles, so I have one more, but emotionally I needed this time to be it. I should be holding my little boy still, and yet here I sit missing him and hoping for new life, soon. Sorry, not trying to be a downer!
So many of you have good news, and for that I smile and rejoice with you. :)
