Hi ladies,

We got a BFN on this cycle. As you may expect, I am an emotional rack  but getting on one step at a time. I was planning on starting a fresh cycle next month (August) but my RE adversed me to do it in Sept, however, if I insist, I can start in August.

It was really nice cycling with you all and thanks for your encouragement.

A Big congratulations to all those who got BFPs and good luck to all those on 2WW.

For those of us who got a BFN this cycle, OUR BFP ARE COMING .. we will reach there

dinagin - i am sorry for your BFN. ((((hugs)))) it's good to look ahead, i hope your aug or sep cycle brings you your BFP.

mellow - is your RE recommending a second beta? i know it's hard to think PMA right now but there have been a lot women on these boards with slow rising betas that created beautiful & healthy babies.

afm - struggling thru a horrible caffeine withdrawal headache, is it ok to drink a diet coke or a cup of coffee while pregnant? and then off to nap time :)

Julia~ Yes they want me to do a beta tomorrow, but I won't get the results until Thursday, and I will be on vacation. They didn't check my progesterone on yesterdays beta either, but will tomorrow as well. I have had 4 miscarriages, so this is a definite concern. I don't know what to do or how to feel. They are saying it's low enough they want a 3rd beta as well. I don't know how it could possibly be so low and everything still be okay. Yesterdays beta was on 9dp4dt. So day 13. Anyone seen this low a beta and it continue to a healthy baby?

Mellow...Congrats!! I understand being cautiously optimisic...but celebrate! Yes, I have seen low betas like this many many times. Low betas...slow rising betas...none of which means a thing till your next beta and sometimes till several betas later. Didnt you say that there was something about your betas with your daughter too...was it similar? There are a wide range of normal betas for 13dpo and they start with 5. 18 is not bad for 13dpo. To be honest...your RE tested you quite a bit earlier than most docs do...the norm is usually more like 17dpo (14dp3dt)....so dont compare your numbers to others on this board whom tested later than you. You may have implanted late as well. Keep the faith...take it easy...and hope for the best! Where are you going on your vacation...will you be able to rest? Will you be able to check in and tell us how everything is going? As of right now...you are pregnant!!! Congrats! Saying lots of prayers and sending you lots of hugs, too.

Dinigan - I'm so sorry for your BFN. I've been there and it was pretty upsetting . I'm glad your jumping back in to cycle. Take some time for youself, hugs.

Mellow - I know your beta is low, but heard about a woman who started out with a beta # 12 and went on to have a baby. Try to relax, I should take my own advice

AFM- I went to the RE today, it was hard to locate the sac on US, apparently my uterus is higher up. We couldn't use the transvaginal and had to use the abdominal US instead. My previous C-section must have made my uterus higher cause of scar tissue. We saw a HB today, Yeah !!!!!!! Hoping next week will be easier to see more clearly. RE wasn't concerned about the blood from yesterday, none today. I was soooo tired from today, I had to go take a little catnap.

So here I am awake at 5 AM obsessing over this... I have been POAS every day like millersmommy (can't help it I am an addict too) and all I see since the trigger is gone is the faintest of faint lines (it is so fain I really have to look) but it is not getting darker for the last 3 days so I don't think it is a bfp- must be something else and I am at 7dp 3dt so I should be seeing something by now right?. I am totally getting myself psyched out I know it but I cannot help it. I just want this so bad after everything that we have been through and I know that we don't have the money to try this again for a while... I guess I am just scared to be dissapointed. I promised myself that we would test before the beta because I can't go and get the beta unprepared but now the day of my beta is my sister's engagement party and she just found out she is pregg and now here I am sitting here at 5 am wondering if all of this hard work is for nothing. Sorry to be such a downer but I am just really nervous and weepy

hi annashope - 7dp3dt is way too early to test, here is a chart that's been posted on these boards before and that shows when the embie starts secreting HCG, it says you can detect it thru HPT on day 11. so don't worry, PMA PMA and wait a couple days before POAS again... when is your beta?

**this is what happens in a 3dt :
**transfer day
1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins, as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT

dinagin- I am so sorry for your BFN, but just keep your head up and know that it will work out for us both next cycle!! Even if you dont get to cycle until Sept, just stay positive and know it will all work out eventually. Best of luck.

mellow- It seems like it would still be early to check the beta. They did my beta at 13dp3dt and it was 36, so Im thinking yours is just too early. I have a feeling when you go back for your beta you are going to be reassured that things are on track, and it was just too early. Stay positive and good luck.

jenice- congrats on seeing the HB!!!!

annashope- 7dp3dt is wayyy too early to test. I didnt get even a faint positive until 11dp3dt. Dont let it get you down. It will all work out and sooner than later you will be getting a positive test and will be celebrating. Best of luck and keep us posted.

hi everyone - our second beta's in! i am at 1,694 which is exactly doubling every 48 hours of my first number (176). yay! the beta base shows the median singleton level at 20dpo at 846 and twins at 1690 so i was hoping for twins but the nurse said that rise would be more indicative of a singleton. i guess we'll can't know for usre til the nxt u/s on jul 29th. if all is good and we see a hb then i'll be released to my OB!! this seems so fast!
i am glad we'll be on vacation between now & jul 29th, otherwise the wait would be killing me!! we are heading out to europe on fri, for work (in the UK) and some vacation and coming back on the 26th, just in time for the u/s :) DH is coming with and we have planned some vacation around my work travel (prag on the way there & portugal on the way out). we have never been to these 2 countries so are really looking forward to it. last time i had to travel for work during our first pregnancy i ended up m/c when i was abroad (the RE and OB said the travel did not cause the m/c, that most early m/c are chromosomal issues). it was really hard to go thru that, all alone, in a foreign country, so this time i am definitely not travelling alone anymore... plus DH is a teacher so he has the summer off so i did not have to ask him twice to join me on the trip :) this may be our last trip just the 2 of us!! anyway, can't wait for our u/s!

hope everyone is doing well.

OMG! OMG! so I tested this morning with FRER and it is a BFP!!! I could not believe my eyes!!!! I think I still don't believe it...lol the line was not super bright but it cam up right away. I even repeated the test and it came out the same way a BFP! I am 8dp 3 dt. I spoke with my nurse yesterday and asked her if it can be trigger shot still in my system and she said she did not think so and said this was most likely the real deal!!! I am still so scared to believe it. My beta got moved to Sat so I will be testing together with Annpage on the same day. Until then we will stay cautiously optimistic.
