annashope- I would ask for another ultrasound and another beta.

Something strange happened to me once. I had taken a hpt, it was positive, then I started cramping and bleeding at 6 weeks. I went to the ER and they did a u/s, there was nothing in the uterus. They could see bleeding outside of it and actually did surgery to find out what it was. My beta had stopped rising. They took out some blood and told me I could take a pill to help speed the m/c along. Because of my faith I couldn't do it. A week later, like they said I started bleeding, thinking I was having the m/c. A few days later, I was starting to get sick, they had me come in to check on a u/s that I had m/c and there was once again nothing in the uterus. When they checked my beta though it was sky high...this was when they told me I had cancer. They said it was a molar pregnancy that had turned to choriocarcinoma. I continued to get sick and they continued looking throughout my body to find the cancer, they could not find it. Finally when I would have been about 8 weeks along the ultrasound technician was looking and turned the screen to me and said, Oh, I see the problem. And there it was... a little heart beating away and a baby of gestational age of 8 weeks. This is my sweet 11 year old daughter, and had I done what the doctors wanted I wouldn't have her. God was holding her close and protecting her during that time. She is truly a miracle, I had many episodes of bleeding and sub-chorionic hemorrhage that threatened to detach the placenta for many more weeks. It was scary.

I do not tell you this to give you false hope, only to tell you that things aren't always what they seem. I too have had an ultrasound at the time you did and there was nothing there. It's worth having a couple extra tests just to be sure, for your peace of mind. I will be praying for you and your DH during this time of uncertainty. I know what you are feeling, hold onto each other during this time. It will bring you closer together if you let it. Hugs to you.

Mellow thanks so much for your story it really helped. I know that there are so many miracles that happen all the time. Two years ago I was diagnosed with Cervical cancer and 3 separate doctors told me that my only option was a full hysterectomy but DH and I are believers and we saw yet another DR who was the top oncologist for that in the nation and after he did an exploratory surgery he did not find anything and I have been in remission ever since.. That just goes to show you that miracles do happen all the time and had I listened to the first 3 Dr's I would not be able to do this right now.

At this point we are just waiting to find out one way or another. Some peace of mind and closure would be so helpful. I just don't know where we are. I don't know at what point I should see a drop in the beta or anything like that and like you taking the pill would not work with our faith either but because I have a permanent cerclage I cannot have a d&c and I guess some part of me still hopes that when we go in on Friday there could be a miracle waiting for us too but we are trying not to get our hopes up too much because this past weekend when we thought all was lost was just terrible and we just can't have 2 weekends like that.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and warm words it is so helpful at this point since it feels like no one out of my friends or family understands and they just make ignorant remarks. Sorry to vent

Vent anytime. Betas would be dropping everyday...if this pregnancy is lost. I'm sorry that your friends and family dont understand and make stupid remarks. You can talk to us anytime. We are all here for each other. Your story is also an incredible one. Wow!

Mellow: Indeed what an amazing story...what a roller coaster of emotions that must have been I can't even begin to imagine. Thank you so much for sharing. What a strong woman you are. What a blessing and miracle indeed your daughter is!

Annashope: I continue to pray and send positive thoughts your way...you too are clearly a strong woman, looking at all you have been through...I hope that you get news one way or the other soon so that you, and DH, can move forward. It is the waiting and uncertainty that is the most difficult. Well, that and the insensitivity of people around us who do not/cannot understand. I am sorry and offer you all the support I can. Please feel free to vent and express whatever whenever!!

AFM: Continued uncertainty...I haven't gotten my results from yesterday's bloodwork yet. I went first thing in the morning and they say they sent it "STAT" but still no word. I called my clinic and they say they haven't received the results yet. They close at 4 today...trying to be patient, but it is so difficult. I, too, have little to no "true" support outside this forum.

I appreciate all the kindness and well wishes. Thank you all for sharing a little bit of yourselves...it helps a lot. I wish I had discovered this community a year and a half ago when I started this journey....

Margi- The waiting stinks doesn't it. I hope you get news soon. My RE doesn't get labs back until the next day as well, it's very nerve wracking. Let us know when you hear something. I pray it's good news.

Annashope- You have my prayers dear girl. I pray you don't have to wait long to know what to expect. Let us know how you are, and always feel free to vent to us...we are here for you.

Margi- Did you ever get those results? Thinking about you, and hoping all is well.

Annashope - I had a sub- chrionic bleed 2 weeks ago and I'm now 9 weeks pregnant. My RE said I could have possibly lost a twin causing the bleeding, we did transfer 3 embryos. I asked RE "you scanned me and told me you saw only one sac ? " RE said it could have been missed and it is so small, plus I was really hard to scan. I also know someone who has twins and @ her first ultrasound it only showed one. She didn't find out she was even pregnant with twins till her 5th month. Strange miraculous things can happen

Mellow- Congrats on being BFP !!!!! What is your beta ?

Hi Jenice- Don't know what my beta would be at this point. It's been 3 weeks since the last one. We saw the baby and a heartbeat on Monday. We are concerned that the baby is measuring small and the yolk sac was large. It's about a 50/50 chance that we lose the baby. I'm pretty frustrated.

Mellow: Is it just me, or does it seem like we are going from one worry to the next? My beta went up, but as you see, it is still under 600. I don't know what to think or feel anymore--except frustrated and unsure.

I have an u/s Friday, so we will pray and hope for the best.

Margi- Glad you got that result finally. I just wish it were more definitive. Your right it's one thing after another. I hope things are good at your ultrasound on Friday. We are waiting for Monday to know if things are going to look better to give us some hope for a good outcome. It's hard to wait. It feels like our heads are constantly being messed with. Between now and then, I pray, constantly.

thanks sooo much for asking how things are going it really made me smile reading your post but no change here yet. Six days later and still nothing and the symptoms of preg are still here. I have a check up and bw tomorrow so hopefully more clarity soon. how are you

AFM--Just so emotionally tired. I try to stay positive, but feeling fairly discouraged....I really hope that tomorrow gives us some answers. Sigh. I feel sick to my stomach with worry---I swear this is worse that the crazy 2ww....
