Hi Everyone! It's been awhile. I hope everyone is doing well! I can't believe it's November!?!
Let's see if I can catch up on some personals!:
PurpleFish - I can't believe how far along we all are, it is so close. I hope to deliver between 36 and 38 weeks which would be anytime between Jan 17 and Feb 6, but if I'm being perfectly honest I would prefer to have them after Jan 20 so they'll be an Aquarius (like me!) and before Feb 2 within the Year of the Tiger (like me!) - I know it sounds silly, but I can dream!
Thanks for your tips on the twin schedules regarding feeding and sleeping. My SIL had twins last year and said getting them on the same schedule should be my #1 priority! I really want to breastfeed and I plan on feeding them simultaneously. As you so noted, it's hard to find information and support regarding breastfeeding multiples so I think it's great that you want to be a lactation nurse for multiples, after all you'll have gone through it twice! I received "My Brest Friend" pillow for twins from my registry so I setting myself up for success!
Kitty_mom - my pregnancy twin, I am so sorry to hear about your gestational diabetes and anemia. I'm glad they are catching all of this though and that you are getting support and guidance so that you and those twins stay healthy. I know it can't be easy, so know that we're all here to support you! I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow to help you acclimate to the changes you have to make with your diet. By the way, regarding a previous post you made, I too go into our babies room often just to look at their little clothes too. Usually right when I get up in the morning and several time in the evening! It's so much fun. The babies' room is slowly coming together. I just have to find storage space for all my craft hobbies and then the room will be cleared for all their stuff. I don't even know if/when I'll ever get back to my album making/scrapbooking.........
PA_FA - How are you? You've been done working for almost a month now, right? How is that going? I am happy you had a trip to NYC and got to see Wicked, how fun! I <3 NY, I would love to go back there soon. We were there last summer.
Oh, and what's up with the perinatalogist moving up your due date!?! I hope you're still saying it's a Valentine's Day baby
Jenice - How have you been preparing since you found out you're having a boy!?! I have to say that I love all the little boy clothes that I've received. I love seeing baby boys dressed like miniature men. So many of my friends have had little boys in the last year so his side of the closet it filling up. Although I don't mind buying little girl clothes to even out the closets
Julia_78 - My husband and I have recently come across the same problem that you mentioned regarding picking out names. My husband in greek, and their tradition is to name the children after a grandparent - so that part was easy. But now we're debating on the spelling and pronounciation as we know we'll be living in America and don't want our kids to have to struggle with spelling or pronounciation of their name. They're going to get it for sure with the last name, so we're trying to be thoughtful about the first names, both formal names and nicknames. You mentioned on your last US your husband found out the sexes but you didn't. How's that going? It must be hard. There was no question for us, we wanted to know.
I am still a little nervous. A girlfriend of mine was told she was having a girl and low and behold she had another boy.
We have another US appt tomorrow so I think our doctor already knows that I want to see their private parts again to be certain!
So, I hope I was able to catch up with a few of you. Everything is going fairly well on my end. Sleep is getting increasingly difficult, but I have managed to find a few comfortable positions with the help of strategically-placed pillows. Starting to get some swelling in my ankles so I've been trying to take breaks to lay down when I'm working, but also bought some compression stockings to help out. In addition, I bought some shoe inserts for arch support, may friends have told me how their feet grew when they were pregnant and I love my shoes too much to lose them if my feet don't fit in them! LOL! I know with pregnancy our joint our looser and because of weight gain our arches drop so it's not that our feet grow it's actually due to our feet flattening. So, just a helpful tip for all of you to keep your shoe size

I hope to stop working soon, or at least start working from home. All the travel I do is tiring me out and probably not ideal as I get further along.
Lastly, stopped by a local daycare on my way home after voting today. They charge $400/child/week for full-time daycare for infants. They said they would give me a discount of $350/child/week since I have twins. That's $2,800/month - enough said :S. We'll just have to make it work!
All the best to everyone!
