Girls beta today 21 dpo is 3578 and we saw a perfect little sac...ah Dh and I were overjoyed. We are exactly 5 weeks today and it was too early to see anything else but just seeing that little (6-7 mm--which I am told is perfect) was amazing...Re said he is very pleased and we go back for another ultrasound in 1 week at (6 weeks)

Margi your pm really helped. You are such a sweetheart and I am so grateful to have you in my life

Lou, yes I read about DHEA earlier this year and have been taking a small dose from AF to O every cycle since then. I am also taking Royal Jelly, which is a super food that is supposed to help improve egg quality - not sure how it can, but I figured it can't hurt since its high in vitamins. I will say that in my almost 3 years of trying I have had several monitored cycles on either clomid or femara. Most cycles I was lucky to have 1 or 2 follicles with only 1 usually maturing. However, two cycles ago, after being on the dhea and royal jelly, I had 5 or 6 good follicles - more than I had ever seen on clomid. I like to think the dhea and RJ helped. I am going "med naked" this cycle, so not sure what will be going on in there, but hopefully the little follies will gear up for next cycle.

Wasn't Ryann having an u/s today? I don't even know her, but I am anxious to find out how it went. Congrats Annashope... that must have been an awesome sight to see.

Tiger: The hot springs were my absolute favorite. To sit in a waterfall of hot water…ah…to me, heaven. But if you don’t like the heat, it wouldn’t be good. It is good to have another IUI-sister out there—seems like a growing number of us! And with Annshope getting a BFP on a natural cycle of IUI it is all very encouraging!

Katie: Only one more sleep until your beta! What a wonderful Christmas present indeed. Praying for a nice strong number for you.

Ginger: How are you doing? Resting up? Letting those embies snuggle in tight?! 8)

Heather: So exciting! Wish you could share your line with the group. We really would like to see it. It’s like crack-candy to us addicts.

Meinemo: How are you doing? You are awfully quiet. Hope that you are having a wonderful Holiday season.

Leora: Sounds like you guys have a lot of decisions to make. Wow. When I started this process I was so naïve and had no idea all the decisions, thoughts, feelings and education would be needed. My eyes have surely been opened over the past 2 years. Hope that your appt on Monday goes well and you get all your questions answered. And regarding a Spring board? What are you talking about?! :P You will be on the next pregnancy board by then my friend!! You and me both. I mean it. :D

Justsolost: Welcome!! Have no fear…you have come to the right place! You will never meet a more wonderful group of strong and understanding women. The best support there is. You say that you are a Image ?? Hm…I think you sound pretty brave to me. This is a very difficult journey—and it sounds to me like you have done a lot of research and are up for it! Let us know any questions at all that you may have. And, for the record, not much goes into TMI category. Tell us all about your whizzing and anything else!! And, I can’t give you a chicken blinkie, especially not to a POAS/PIAC friend…more like… Image Image

How’s that for an intro blinkie?

Kelly: How is your mom doing? How are you doing with the PIO? Glad they aren’t as painful for you as you had anticipated. Hope your supply is fine. You are so strong and determined, huh? Not gonna be tempted by your fellow POAS-buddies? Not even a bit? I little tiny tinkle on a stick with FMU? We won’t tell. But, only 7 more sleeps until beta!! As for telling people? Perhaps a little different for me because of my age, but other than a very small core of people—plus all you ladies—I won’t even be telling my family members until close to 12 weeks probably. But if I were younger, probably much earlier. Very personal decision—go with your gut. Some people are more open about their lives in general than others, so you just need to do what feels comfortable and right for you.

Hope: Your baby-in-a-box should arrive today. Yeah! That much closer! Definitely will make things seem real when you open it! Don’t let it overwhelm you.

Dahlias: Meeting with RE was today, correct? How’d it go? What is the plan?

Carol/CJ: What will your protocol be? What injectibles will you be using? I have used Gonal-F and added Menopur for this last cycle and got a pretty strong response. I am hoping this cycle will be it for me. :) And regarding women in their 40s that just “happen” to get pregnant. I hear ya. Keep up the faith! :D I am hoping and praying I will have 2 lines to show you soon that will serve as encouragement! That is my plan!

Lauren1171: It has been a few days since we heard from you…all ok? Just busy with the holidays?

Kildean: Where are you!?!?! Where are your sticks?!?! You cannot hide from the POAS-patrol!

Lou: “Have I POASed yet?” Did you mean, today? This hour? LOL. Of COURSE. I am POASing every morning--and will likely be increasing that rate as I get closer to beta. Trying not to get too anxious about it yet—right. Well I guess I am starting to a bit. I think I am ready to be Mayor of Crazytown! I am 9 dpo today. Hoping to get my BFP soon!!!! I would be standing on my head next to you if it would guarantee it! If I get a BFN this time my acupuncturist really wants me to take a month or two off to let her give me herbs as well. Not sure at my age I can afford a couple months off…hopefully I won’t have to decide that.

Pauleen: Your appt was yesterday, right? Did I miss your post regarding the results? What are your next steps towards bringing your frosties home?

Ana: How are you feeling?

NwQuiz: Are you taking it easy? Still need to be BDing however.Image

Annashope: YES!!!!!!! I am crying tears of relief and joy for you. I know I said it before, but this is just so “perfect”. So beyond happy for you and DH. Take wonderful care of yourself pregnant momma!!!!Image

AFM: Delivered Christmas presents to many deserving children today. One delivery was to a former client of mine—who just had her 5th baby. She just turned 21. Every last one has been “an accident”. Sigh. But, not going to let anything get me down today. Anna had fabulous news a moment before I posted this!!! And Rio will have some in a few hours—darn “you people” living on the West Coast! LOL. I gotta get off this board and back to work. Praying for all you strong ladies.

Hi Ladies!! UGH!!!!!! Its so faint you cant even get a pic of it. I'm 12dpo today and I think by now I would have had at least 10iu in my urine but I could be wrong. I'm not really sure what I should have anyways. Hell these tests could be bad for all I know but I just think it didn't take this time. I have my epts to take Christmas eve and Christmas day so I"ll know then. DH and I talked at length today about it being a possible BFN and what our plan is if indeed is a BFN. We've been TTC for the last 10 years. 4 babies in heaven, too many IUI's to count, 1 IVF and I FET and 5 surgeries later and we are still a home without a baby. I have medication to do about 3 or 4 months worth of cycles which Ive been honestly thinking about donating. Im not giving up Im think Im just going to be more productive in a different area for a while. I want to find out why its so damn hard and expensive for women and couples without babies to adopt. Im going to find out why 11 and 12 year olds can have children and can put them in foster care until they are of age to take care of them? I dont think I should pay some teenager 20k for their baby because they are "making a sacrifice." If Medicaid paid for their maternity care then they dont need money for medical expenses. I would happy to adopt the baby and give it everything it needs and pay for the attorney fees. But this I need to be compensated for giving that child a better life then what they would have with a teen mother. I dont get it. What a selfish society we live in. I also read on the news today about Planned Parenthood offering gift cards for their "services" Yeah what bullcrap that I can go get a gift card for a friend to have an abortion... OMG what is this place coming to? Last but not least Im also disgusted by a website now out there that allows you to vote on ultrasound pictures of babies to whether they should live or be aborted. I cant even tell you how effed up that is! Ok Im stepping off my soap box now.

OMG Heather I cannot believe there is such a website!!! I too am so mad at the adoption process. I constantly hear of kids who grew up in the foster care system but here we are willing to give a baby a life in a happy home full of love and traditions and I am told I should pay thousands upon thousands of $$$$ too frustrating.

AF the tests I think the chepie ones show a faint line for a while...maybe try FRER? I don't mean to give you false hope of course only you can see the tests but I am optimistic for you till the end

Heather - Don't get down on yourself - the faint line is a positive sign & it might just be they are old or too cheap to detect what you have in your system. Each women makes HCG at different rates & yours might just be in the process of going up - POAS one of your digitals tomorrow morning and let us know - praying for a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for you being pissed off at the system I couldn't agree more! We felt so extorted when we adopted our daughter we felt like a revolving ATM machine just doling out money & gifts but in the end it was worth it - but the system needs to be fixed! I have always wanted to start some sort of a advocacy program for women going through infertility - this being my 9th year of dealing with this I have had a lot of great experiences & some horrible ones so I am always at a loose for who to turn too in some of these instances & think there should be someone on our side - since we are the ones being blindly to write checks and pray for the best. Ridiculous!

Margi - Thank you! I am getting excited but as I chase my 2 yr old around the house & watch my friends 3 1/2 month old while she works I wonder how good this is for the newbies in my belly? I am hoping they are settled in and strong little guys! I will post my numbers tomorrow when I get them - still BFP every morning so I am hoping that is a good sign!

Anna - Congrats on the great BETA!!!!

Rio - I am praying for you!

Hope you are all having a good day and you have something that makes you laugh a little even when it is hard - sometimes you owe it to yourself to laugh a little. Welcome to all the newbies it is a scary road but this is a great group of ladies with tons of knowledge -

Sorry for the absence - I don't know how a week slipped by. And then I had to spend so much time getting caught up on where everyone is at.

First off Ryan and Anna - awesome betas!! I'm so excited for you both and looking forward to hearing ultrasound results :)

So many other things to comment on but I only have a couple minutes.

Unfortunately I had BFN on my beta on Monday  I got AF that morning so I tried to call and cancel the beta but they made be go anyways, which I just don't understand. So the test confirmed what I already knew - we are really bummed and frustrated but knew this cycle was just off. We are planning to do more treatments in 2011 - just need to save some $ up again -self pay SUCKS!! We're starting to more seriously consider adoption too but I think I will do at least 1 more cycle before starting down that path. So move me back to the top of the list - I think we'll be starting up again late January or Feb depending on if they have me do BFP or estrogen first. 2011 is going to be a good year!!!

We are leaving tomorrow to visit family for the holidays and then I've tacked my next work trip onto the end of that. So I'll be traveling for the next 3 weeks straight but will be online periodically and trying to keep up with everyone. Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and New Year's!

Great news! The baby is doing wonderful. S/He measured at 9 weeks and we are 8w4d so s/he is growing beautifully and has a great HB (OB doesn't measure it, but he has seen thousands so he said it was very strong). Baby B is still at 7w size and no heartbeat  . My OB reassured me that everything looks fine. Finally to have a non-shocking US was wonderful, I am so happy and what a great Xmas gift!

Thank you so much for all of you thoughts, prayers and support! I am very thankful for all of you!

Katieb - Awesome beta vibes for tomorrow! How many dpo will you be tomorrow? ER is ovulation day. Don't worry too much about it being a high beta, the important thing is that it grows well. When do you get your second beta? I can't wait to see what it is! Thank you! How many did you transfer?

Heather - Thanks! I was going to ask you to send some of your baking my way but argh I got Gestational Diabetes super early, so no sweets for me! How is the aim? ;) 12dpo could be quite early, remember your blood HCG and the rate at which you pee HCG are 2 different things. You can get a great beta without a positive on an HPT, it happened to me before. PMA girl, PMA I could not believe that website, it has to be a sick joke.

kbillsy - Huge hugs, I am so sorry for your BFN  I see you have male factor, how was your number of mature eggs? We have male factor too. How are his numbers? Before adoption have you considered IUI with DS? 2011 will bring you your BFP. PM me if you want, I gave my DH vitas and all kinds of stuff and I took DHEA which all really helped.

Annas - beautiful US!

txcp - he is right, you won't need them , your perfect ones are all snuggled!

Margi - you truly are an angel caring for so many people in need, including ME! No talk of BFN allowed with acupuncturist! You ARE the mayor of crazytown hun!

CJinNC - I swear by DHEA also and heard great things of Royal Jelly and wheatgrass. No T-Rex for you, just a perfect little baby :)

Lou - I am so dizzy from my dance for AF for you I am about to fall down! Come on AF! When you stand on your head naked in the middle of the street singing Dixie, please send us video! I read an article about it on the Fertility today and it said it really helps to conceive ;) Keep pumping that DH of your with sperm boosting stuff! Come on boys!

nwquiz - your DH sounds like a sweetheart! POAS! Good idea on mixing swimmers! You are PUPO enjoy it!

Leora - How often do you get to see your family? My family is in Brazil and I see them about 2 x a year. We had to consider DS in the start and my DH was ok with it. Seems like if your DH is ok with it maybe it is worth a IUI try? The way I see it is plenty of girls have to do DE and they feel it is 100% theirs, so I think the same of DS, 100% yours and DH. If I had to use DE, I would still want my DHs DNA in there cause I love him so much. So I think your DH wants your DNA in there even if his isn't cause he loves you so much. Put yourself in his shoes and maybe you would be ok with it. I would feel "guilty" too with DS but I don't think that's how they feel. Either way I am praying for your BFP!

SD - I think you need to go on your vacation!

justsolost - hey we make a pledge here NOT to behave!

Bakers - how is your mom?

Anacris - how are you feeling? you think twins again?

Tiger - thank you for all the great info! I saw the wesite even has a look alike celebrity thing :) when do you expect your IUI to be? I can't wait for your BFP!

DH is taking me out to celebrate, unfortunately I can't eat much of good things since my Gestational Diabetes is here early but oh well, all for a great cause! Thank you again for all of your prayers, good thoughts and support! I love you girls!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I am not writing much but I have an awful cold, ugh...

Rio!!!! I am sooo happy, thank goodness everything is going great with your baby, his/her twin is definitely watching over all of you as your ticker says. I have been feeling a lot more nausea than with the twins, but then again I had a great pregnancy with them and there were two in there, I actually have no idea how many there are in there but praying for at least one healthy baby. I will be super happy either way, thankfully here in my country it is a little bit easier because having someone to help you is affordable.

Anna Congrats on your beta and U/S, that is great that everything is going as expected.

Katie Hoping for a great beta tomorrow.

AFM just waiting, I do not know what is more difficult, last pregnancy I had an U/S at 5w3d or so, and did not see much, one sac and something inside that looked like a diamond ring, doctor said everything was on track, then at 7 weeks I saw two heartbeats, so this time because last time the early us was not conclusive I decided to wait until almost 7weeks (I will be 6w6d) but the waiting is too hard... It's like it have not sunk and not seem real, week I guess I do not have to explain too much all you girls know how the waiting feels, waiting for everything...

I feel awful to do more personals but hoping for great things to happen for all the brave girls here!

Happy Christmas to you all!!
