To be honest, my pregnancy is so boring and uneventful that there's not much to write. The nausea and excessive exhaustion finally left about ten or twelve days ago, thankfully. I haven't had a hint of spotting or cramping or anything unusual..... and actually according to the doctor, lost a couple of pounds even though I'm eating like a little hippo with a constant snack attack.
I won't get another ultrasound from my doctor until I'm 18 weeks.. on February 1st. However, my husband is working on the oil pipelines about 16 hours away, and we are meeting in Edmonton for his week of on January 21st and we are doing a self pay 3D ultrasound on the 24th.
I'm not 'showing' exactly although my jeans are a total write off at this point - there is no way I can do them up anymore and I am living in my three pairs of mat jeans. I listen to the baby's heartbeat every night and it's strong and healthy. We are now discussing names and wondering if we are having a boy or a girl....

I'm already a bit worried about the birth - my entire vaginal canal split when I had my first son, and it was truly above and beyond the 'normal' pain for labor and delivery. My doctor gave serious consideration to my well being and assured that nothing of the sort would be happening this time... it's a long story but at my first birth lightening actually struck the hospital and the baby was crowning before a doctor could be found... I was 16.. and there were over 40 internal stitches.
Naturally, I am nervous - they say a woman's body goes back to it's pre-birth state if there are seven years between births. Yay.
