Carol – Thanks for the reminder and advice! I gotta pick up a pineapple. While I was in Costa Rica I had the most delicious fresh pineapple I have ever had. I have a feeling I am going to be very disappointed with what I pick up at the grocery store tonight! How frustrating. I am with you, it is concerning that they are changing everything. I hope you get all of the answers you are looking for. Don’t stop until you do!
Amanda1979 – that’s great! 7 great follicles! Congratulations! I hope your ER goes great tomorrow. I can’t wait for the update.
Hope – I never refrigerated my lupron. You should be fine. YEAH on triggering! I don’t know about the sore boobs, I can’t remember, but the lower pain in the abdomen is normal. You have so many large follicles that it feels like a lot of pressure. That’s okay. Just make sure to drink lots of Gatorade! Okay!
Jeib – that’s awesome! I’m glad you are responding so well to the meds. She might want to slow it down a little bit to see if you can get more follicles to catch up! Love the picture! How cute!
Kristin – I’m with margi, I like to test every day leading up to the beta from about where you are now. Helps me slowly when it’s a negative. But, until the beta you could get false negatives. I can’t help it, I love POAS.
Leora – Ha! That’s hysterical. DH sounds very pragmatic, probably a great partner to keep you grounded. My DH is the same way. He thinks I drive myself crazy…but I am crazy….about POAS. I just want to see a gosh darn positive HPT! I’m with you, I will freak out when I see one…I don’t care if it’s not “real.”
Penny – Thanks for your support. I know, and I’ve said it a million times, I should change RE. I know this sounds horrible, but I don’t know that I have the energy to dedicate to finding another place. Not good, I know, but being honest. Like all of us, this is just so draining. If you were a RE and opened a clinic, I’d be there for sure. That would be an easy decision. Good for you for staying calm. I envy you right now. How do you do it? Please share. I know it’s not alcohol, which usually helps me!
Kat – exactly my thoughts. I’m sorry, I didn’t get a PhD and become a dr, because I would be terrible at it! So, that’s why I need them! I read this really great blog about infertility and thought I would share it with you. Interesting post on how not all Dr’s are treated equal.
http://infertilityblog.blogspot.com/ Yes, you have been getting quite the storms! Yikes! I had no idea over 50”. I live in MN, so we’re used to it, but I still hate it.
Lauren – unbelievable. I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with this. I hate that we have to deal with the insurance BS on top of all of the emotional turmoil. If I won the lottery, I would set up a scholarship program for IVF/Infertility.
LYD – I have heard that too. They say that certain countries have lower populations because their culture eats a lot of soy and that it does affect fertility. I have cut soy from my diet completely. Congrats on your DS!
Margi – can’t wait to hear how the call is!
AFM: so after all of this, I am finally feeling good. I went in for my lining check yesterday and it was a 6. I can’t remember if I told you guys that. So, I’m hoping that my lining will continue to increase. I had my first IUI today and GUESS WHAT! So, we all know this is a new donor and sometimes things happen for a reason, so previous donor was between 9-10 million and this donor was at 35 MILLION today! So, 3 times better than the previous donor. So, I’m feeling really good about that. I have my second one tomorrow and I hope the sample is just as swimmingly. I went to acupuncture today also and just had a really good feeling about it. I really hope this works. I am doing all of the visualization possible. My acupuncurtist is so amazing. If anyone wants to know or has issues with lining, she started me on some herbs 2 days ago, 1) I’m drinking Red Raspberry tea, 2) Four Substances Teapills by Plum flower brand, and 3) Red Raspberry liquid herbal extract. Just thought I would share.
Tomorrow I am officially pupo! Can’t wait. Really.
Lots of love to all of you
