Kerri - I do my shots just once a day - thank goodness! -- If I get pregnant, I'll still job search. You don't have to tell them you are pregnant. I'm also a bit overweight so even with my twins, I didn't start really showing (so that I couldn't hide it) until about 18-20 weeks -- so I have some time. My bigger fear is my puking. I have had HG with both of my pregnancies. Hopefully I'll be able to keep interviewing without puking on the HR person!

Congrats on a great ER!

Tammy - we are all just stalkers! I'm glad your family was around you. I love your story about the "big brother" t-shirt - hopefully it will come true!

Jeib - I'm so sorry about your background. That is such shit. My dad was abusive, but 'luckily' only physically and verbally. I've been on anti-depressants for about 4 years now. What a difference! I never even knew what 'normal' was. People say that depression is only in your mind - but I strongly believe that it is a mental illness. I'm a very strong person, but with depression, I just can't function and the smallest things overwhelm me. The difference the meds make is unbelievable. I'm not 'weak' or don't have willpower, I have a disease that I'm managing. I hope we both get through this nightmare of infertility and get to the 'normal' part of parenthood.

sunshine 12 --- 8 eggs is great! congrats! I hope my ER will be in about a week - just a week behind you! When do you plan a ET for, or does it depend on how the fert goes?

SD - 6 is great too!

LYD10 - thank goodness for my husband. I don't know what I would do in life without him. I love our relationship. I watch our married friends and sometimes I wonder how they live together! We have something very special. I assume the Menopur isn't stable or whatever when it's mixed... the pen is SOO much better!

Lee - thanks for sharing about your adopted son. People tell me this infertility nightmare will be so worth it in the end when we have that child in our lives.... stories like yours (going back to it again because you want another kid) give me hope that there will be a happy ending to mine.

Lauren - are you sure that's AF and not just some spotting? can you get your beta bumped up so you at least have a proper answer? I really think your insurance SHOULD cover another IVF.... I can write them a letter for you if that would help!

Ashley - yay! 5dp5dt! You are getting so close! no inkling to POAS?

Qita - I'm so sorry about your BFN. Usually a beta isn't an absolute 0 -- but anything less than 5 (or 7) is considered "not pregnant". It is weird that they want you to continue your meds, but 2 days isn't so bad. I'm so sorry hon....

Sherry - FEEL GOOD!

nwquiz -- boooooooooo! Where is AF? That sucks. Some Provera might help...

Carol - yup. Our story sucks. What I hate most about it is that I'll never forget it. Even if I have a healthy baby.... all of that is tainted by the awful losses we've already been through. I hope you do get your BFP, but if not... save up lots of money for more!

Samantha - I don't even know what all the numbers mean. I just relax and let my RE worry about it. I can't change anything anyway. Maybe just forget about it and trust the RE. Going back every other day is realy common as you get closer to triggering.

AFM --- appt with the social worker was a nightmare. She thinks we should try everything else except adopting through them. She says that anyone who has a stable life or stable family tends to keep their babies.... the only babies they get for adoption are the really really really bad ones (drugs/alcohol/abuse/neglect/malnutrition). She suggested continuing with the IVF and looking into surrogacy and/or sperm/embryo donation. She also suggested a 'foster to adopt' program which has younger and 'better' kids. She says that adopting through their agency (the government) is usually a last resort of people who can't have babies any other way.....

We are really depressed now. She really scared us. How do I do research on what kinds of problems there are with kids whose moms drank/did drugs while pregnant? Is it really so bad?

I think we will look into the foster-to-adopt program... I'm just soooooo afraid of taking in foster kids and then someone taking them back....

I just was hoping we could stop the IVF. I"m sooooo tired of this....

David keeps saying that maybe I'll get pregnant now and we'll stop for a long time..... but I need a back up plan. I can't pin all my hopes on this cycle.... I'll be disappointed if it's a BFN, but if I have no other plans I'll be so crushed and devastated.

SnS tomorrow -- I hope it goes well...

Keri_789 great news on the ER

wannabeamum- stay positive it sounds like things are progressing don't be down you are in the middle of a cycle you have been waiting for how long????? Think positive and grow follies grow!!!!

AFM: just got word from my DH that we are headed to Germany when in Sept. after he gets home in May from Afghanistan. We are excited and nervous, DH has two kids from previous marriage that will really be missed tremendouosly!!!!!! Not to mention all other family and friends. ON the great side of this, I have heard that IVF is alot more affordable and meds are free with Tricare Europe since my husbasd is military that is what we have for insurance and since they do not cover anything here in the states we do not have the funds to do another cycle for a long while if we stay here and have to pay for everything again. Hope is alive again, Yahooo, Germany here we come!!!!! Anyone have experience with tricare europe they would like to share???????????????????????????

Blessings to all,
Trusting
Me= 34 Endo
DH= 37 Low, Morph
TTC= 7 years
Chlomid= 2 BFN
TI w/Repronex= 2 BFN

Leora -- I totally understand how angry "bad luck" can make you and that can affect your faith. I'm so sorry you've been down such a hard road. I do believe things will work out and you will get your baby. Good luck at your adoption interview!! How exciting.

Kerri -- Wow... congrats on 17!

Tammy -- How are you doing "Mrs. PUPO with Quads"?

SD and Sunshine -- Any fert report update yet?

Trusting -- Germany!?! How exciting for you!

LYD -- I wish I could just enjoy this feeling and this time. The problem is, I'm scared to death. It just seems "too good to be true". Once I see that heartbeat in a couple of weeks, I'm sure I'll feel better.

Lee -- I'm so sorry for all you've been through. Thanks so much for sharing.

Lauren -- I'm so sorry AF showed her face. I am really looking forward to your next IVF cycle though... it will be the one that works! Your insurance cannot count this last IUI against your IVF coverage... that doesn't make any sense.

hopeisallihave-- I know the wait stinks. I think you're making the right decision not to POAS. I've got everything crossed for you. Stay out of "Crazy Town", OK?

Qita -- I'm so sorry for your BFN. I understand the feeling well. Will you try again? I don't know why they are having you check your beta again. My clinic never did that.

hotgreentea-- Glad you're feeling better!

CJ -- BD away my friend! Maybe it IS your turn to be THAT lucky!

Samantha -- I don't think you have enough information to be too worried yet. Ask when they call you with instructions on u/s and b/w day what your follie sizes were and what your E2 level is. Both should be increasing. Follies increase 1-3 mm/day. E2 ideally should be 1000-3000 at trigger.

Tiger -- where are you??? Are you OK?

Sorry that I missed a few of you. I'm at work and trying to do this quickly and discreetly.

AFM -- Had my beta drawn this morning and now I'm nervously awaiting the call. I will post early this evening with the result. My nurse went ahead and scheduled my first ultrasound for Tuesday 2/22 at 10AM. It's going to be a looooong two weeks again. Does the worry ever end?

Some of you may remember me from the October IVF boards, and I'm jumping back in to "testify" (along with Lou71) that it just takes one! I just got my BFP (beta 102). We had two frozen blasts, and only one "perfect" one made it to thaw, and we transferred it on 1/27. I really thought I had NO chance at my age, to get pregnant with just one. I got my first FRER positive at 8dp5dt, and today is 11dp5dt.

I took DHEA, which may have helped, but I only took one tablet a day--dose was much less than lou71 recommended.

They're keeping me on 10 more weeks of the twice daily PiO shots and estradiol tablets. Next beta on Wednesday, ultrasound next week.

Cheers and sticky baby dust to everyone!

Leorira11- I was stalking a few friends and saw your post. Your social worker is awful!!! DO NOT let her scare you away from adopting. My 5 & 3 year olds were adopted internationally and we have had amazing experiences. One of my good friends runs a foster/adoption program in south Florida. I'm sure he would be happy to answer any questions. PM if you want any info.

Lou... trust me, the worry never ends. There is always something. I've been doing it for 24 years. A few days ago I woke up in a cold sweat at 3am worried about my son in NY because I hadn't heard from him in a week and I kept dreaming that he was mugged and beat up somewhere. Being a mother brings un-equaled joy as well as over-whelming helplessness. But no matter how hard we try, and how perfect they are...its never-ending... and I wouldn't have it any other way. My DH, who was there for me in the middle of the night, and has been on numerous occasions I have woken up worried, said to me "are you sure you want another one - don't you have enough to worry about with the ones you have?" And my answer was a re-sounding YES. If it's not pregnancy, its birth, vaccinations, cuts, bruises, broken bones, the "other" kids at school, the opposite sex, driving, acne, college, etc. Good luck! Its an AWESOME rollercoaster ride! LOL

so i got my fert report just now.. out of 8 eggs we got yesterday, 6 of them were mature, and all 6 have fertilized...last cycle's stat was, 11 retrieved,9 mature and only 6 fertilized.. so im hoping that since all of the mature eggs fertilized this time, they are of good quality(i know that's not a good logic, but anything to keep my PMA)..at least i hope it is a good sign that at least one of them gives me a baby..i would really love to see those 2 lines on a test this cycle, which i have never seen in my life..

louuuu- did they call you back with your beta result???? i have decided to read your story everyday during my 2ww for inspiration and PMA..still keeping my fingers crossed for you for you to have a wonderful pregnancy journey through out...

carol - im glad you made your decision..its a good strategy to save money for an IUI cycle with more stimming..but im sure you wont need it after this cycle..

leora - please don't get scared by what your social worker told..im sure there will be lot of wonderful children out there who is looking for a family..you can also enquire about foster-adopt option..im sure someone with adoption experience in israel will be the best person for you to talk to.. my ET is tentatively on wednesday..but if at least 4 of my embryos are doing exceptionally good they will consider a 5 day transfer on friday...

kerri - conrgats on a great ER..waiting for a good fert report...

lauren - AF shows early whenever we try to conceive..sometimes i think, it helps to avoid the false hope for few more days and an eventual heart break...insurance cannot count this as an IVF cycle! im sure you are going to get covered for 1 more cycle..good luck!

nwquiz- are you sure you are not pregnant?? if not, here is a dance that's gonna bring your AF..
Image

qita- im sorry to hear about your BFN..but like everyone said, may be they didn't do the test correctly, and that is the reaosn they want to repeat it again..please don't give up for 2 more days..

everyone else, praying that everyone of us end up in the pregnancy fall/winter pregnancy thread soon..

hi ladies :D

OMG! you girls are writing a lot! it took me ages to read 5-6 pages! a lot is happening on this board! i better try and catch up quickly!! :D

margi-sounds like an excellent plan you got there dear! i am happy things are starting happening for you girl! :D

sunshine-so glad your ER went well!

Lee-welcone on board! i hope everything works fine with you. i also have hypothyroid...from the hormones taken through IVF procedure...i was diagnose with it in march 2010 during a regular check up I did. my doctor sent me for an u/s and then blood tests where my TSH was 256! i was supposed to be in a coma my doctor my endo told me. i was bloated and feeling tired, sleepy, i was forgeting stuff etc. but i thought that all these were because of the ivf meds. thank god I am fine now :D i do my check every 6 months now that my TSH is down to regular rates 1.27 last time i checked in october. i get everyday 1 pill of Ethyrox 100mg and that will be for life. as long as I exersise my self I am going to be fine. i have gained 7kg from thyroid but now I am back to normal (53kg) I was allways between 50-51kg so i am happy with that. dont worry having hypothyroid, like my ER says its better than having a hyperthyroid and its good that you know you have it otherwise a person that has it and doesent know it & gets pregnant this might lead to m/s.

Qita-so very sorry for you :( try and stay calm and think positive!

Kerri-so happy for you! 17 eggs sounds great! waiting for a great fertility report also! i wish you a good ER and strong healthy babies!:D

Lou-Congratulations once more! :D I hope you had a great beta today!

Kimber-how's the PUPO girl? :)

Amanda1979-hope you are feeling beter!

CjinNC-sorry that you have to make such a difficult decision. whatever you decide i wish you the best!

Jkulab-your childhood sounds pretty tough! i am so sorry for you! you shouldn't let the past haunt you dear and look into your future! life is good! with its up and down's but yet...try and enjoy it with your DH and focus on happy things. ivf can be realy tough and you need to be strong and patience and positive to get that BFP! i am sure you will get it soon. about your low quality embies, dont forget that we have so many cases that show that quality at the end is irrelevant in so many ways. never loose hope! PMA! PMA!

hopeisallIhave-Friday is getting closer and closer dear :) hang in there and be positive!

AmandaM-sorry about your BFN :( Iam sure good days are coming for you soon!

Tammy-Enjoy being a PUPO! 4 embies sound great! :D the odds are with you big time! ..i believe Zach wearing that T-shirt is sigh!! :)

Wannabeamum-Good luck on Monday!!

Sweetpea-sorry about your car accident! Glad that you are ok!!

Deftonesmo-hope everything goes well for you on your next u/s! :)

Lauren-i hope you have some great news to share today!!! :D

Tiger-Hang in there dear! I am thinking positive for a BFP for you! keep up the PMA! :)

Kynlee-Praying for me!!! that is so sweet! thank you so much! i hope these shots are the missong piece in my puzzle! Baby dust to you!!! :D

SD-loved your ticker! thats the spirit! good luck and baby dust to you!! :D
