Kerri - I do my shots just once a day - thank goodness! -- If I get pregnant, I'll still job search. You don't have to tell them you are pregnant. I'm also a bit overweight so even with my twins, I didn't start really showing (so that I couldn't hide it) until about 18-20 weeks -- so I have some time. My bigger fear is my puking. I have had HG with both of my pregnancies. Hopefully I'll be able to keep interviewing without puking on the HR person!
Congrats on a great ER!
Tammy - we are all just stalkers! I'm glad your family was around you. I love your story about the "big brother" t-shirt - hopefully it will come true!
Jeib - I'm so sorry about your background. That is such shit. My dad was abusive, but 'luckily' only physically and verbally. I've been on anti-depressants for about 4 years now. What a difference! I never even knew what 'normal' was. People say that depression is only in your mind - but I strongly believe that it is a mental illness. I'm a very strong person, but with depression, I just can't function and the smallest things overwhelm me. The difference the meds make is unbelievable. I'm not 'weak' or don't have willpower, I have a disease that I'm managing. I hope we both get through this nightmare of infertility and get to the 'normal' part of parenthood.
sunshine 12 --- 8 eggs is great! congrats! I hope my ER will be in about a week - just a week behind you! When do you plan a ET for, or does it depend on how the fert goes?
SD - 6 is great too!
LYD10 - thank goodness for my husband. I don't know what I would do in life without him. I love our relationship. I watch our married friends and sometimes I wonder how they live together! We have something very special. I assume the Menopur isn't stable or whatever when it's mixed... the pen is SOO much better!
Lee - thanks for sharing about your adopted son. People tell me this infertility nightmare will be so worth it in the end when we have that child in our lives.... stories like yours (going back to it again because you want another kid) give me hope that there will be a happy ending to mine.
Lauren - are you sure that's AF and not just some spotting?

can you get your beta bumped up so you at least have a proper answer? I really think your insurance SHOULD cover another IVF.... I can write them a letter for you if that would help!
Ashley - yay! 5dp5dt! You are getting so close! no inkling to POAS?
Qita - I'm so sorry about your BFN. Usually a beta isn't an absolute 0 -- but anything less than 5 (or 7) is considered "not pregnant". It is weird that they want you to continue your meds, but 2 days isn't so bad. I'm so sorry hon....
Sherry - FEEL GOOD!
nwquiz -- boooooooooo! Where is AF? That sucks. Some Provera might help...
Carol - yup. Our story sucks. What I hate most about it is that I'll never forget it. Even if I have a healthy baby.... all of that is tainted by the awful losses we've already been through. I hope you do get your BFP, but if not... save up lots of money for more!
Samantha - I don't even know what all the numbers mean. I just relax and let my RE worry about it. I can't change anything anyway. Maybe just forget about it and trust the RE. Going back every other day is realy common as you get closer to triggering.
AFM --- appt with the social worker was a nightmare. She thinks we should try everything else except adopting through them. She says that anyone who has a stable life or stable family tends to keep their babies.... the only babies they get for adoption are the really really really bad ones (drugs/alcohol/abuse/neglect/malnutrition). She suggested continuing with the IVF and looking into surrogacy and/or sperm/embryo donation. She also suggested a 'foster to adopt' program which has younger and 'better' kids. She says that adopting through their agency (the government) is usually a last resort of people who can't have babies any other way.....
We are really depressed now. She really scared us. How do I do research on what kinds of problems there are with kids whose moms drank/did drugs while pregnant? Is it really so bad?
I think we will look into the foster-to-adopt program... I'm just soooooo afraid of taking in foster kids and then someone taking them back....
I just was hoping we could stop the IVF. I"m sooooo tired of this....
David keeps saying that maybe I'll get pregnant now and we'll stop for a long time..... but I need a back up plan. I can't pin all my hopes on this cycle.... I'll be disappointed if it's a BFN, but if I have no other plans I'll be so crushed and devastated.
SnS tomorrow -- I hope it goes well...
