trying4second wrote:Good luck Kyleen. Fingers crossed for you. We got the news today that one of our day 6 blasts is freezable (there had been 8 in contention - I hate to seem disappointed, but I was hoping for more for that insurance policy!) Hopefully we will never need them! If I do need to do this again, I am hoping for FET with the two we will now have frozen...still seems gruelling, but easier. My daughter is 15 months and I am absolutely grappling with the lifting her...we had her with my parents for my bedrest and I get to see her today, but taking care of a 15 month old while working...AND trying to lay low do not jive!

Blissful...I watched 500 Days of Summer, 17 Again, Conviction, Coules Retreat and tons of Tivo-ed shows...in addition to all the pre-grammy red carpet stuff :) Nothing you can't miss, but all mindless and fun (except conviction...a heavy, good movie!)

SD - can you teach my hubbie the foot rub routine :)

Will be thinking great thoughts Blair :)
trying4second - i know what you mean about lifting your DD. I have an 11 month DS that i've been lifting quite a bit on my 2nd day of 2ww. I wasnt even able to get through my 48 hrs of bedrest - got 28 hrs in and came downstairs to help my DH with DS.
i really wish the IVF doctors would figure out once and for all if a) we really need this bedrest or its a complete waste of our time b) the lifting thing. my embryologist told me not to worry about lifting - so i am proceeding with life as normal and not creating extra headache for myself. this process is hard as it is - i wish they would get rid of the extraneous stuff they tell us not to do. a lot of it they are just trying to be "safe then sorry" and keeping up with other clinics i guess. i wish though they woudnt do that and did some studies to see if it really makes a difference.
i looked down my long list of dos and donts for IVF and it ridiculous - do not use any cleaning products. come on - people get pregnant all the time dong much worse stuff than that.

that's my rant for the day :)

What did I get for Valentines Day right before bedtime??? A visit from my favorite Aunt!!! And I received my baby in a box today too.

(I also got some nice lingerie... Which will be of zero use to me for awhile. :) )

Woohoo... ITS GO TIME PEOPLE!!! All aboard the baby train! Fingers crossed for a great ultrasound with NO CYST.

Lol on all the posts lately. You ladies are a riot! I can tell the excitement and the PMA are building.

LYD10- I missed congratulating you at transfer. Yay for being PUPO!

Wow, SD - you are so strong! I just cant handle looking at the negative sticks. I've never seen a positive HPT, ever. Even when i got a positive beta i was too afraid to POAS afterwards. So, i've never seen a positive HPT. i've seen plenty of negatives though. me and sticks dont get along :)

SD- so excited that things seem to be going well for you! I agree with LYD10 though. Negative HPTs depress me too, and I have also never seen a positive one. Assuming I get to have an ET this time around, I'm just going to assume I'm pregnant. That way I'll get at least a couple of weeks of excitement. Otherwise I'll be too depressed by the negatives to be able to enjoy the PUPO. So it looks like you've got a lot of people on here that you are going to have to POAS for! LOL!

Kyleen- I'm with you on the coffee thing. I'm a nurse also (night shift, no less) so it's killing me to skip the coffee. But I suppose if I'm going to invest so much time and energy (and money) into this then I might as well do it right! I will confess though that after every previous disappointment I have "fallen off the wagon" and ended up at Starbucks!

AFM- I started my injectables yesterday. I would really rather give other people shots! :D I go in tomorrow morning for my next ultrasound, so we'll see how things are progressing. I can't wait for ER next week so I can finally find out if we actually have a shot at ET this time around!

Congrats to everyone that is PUPO already and welcome to all the new people! I need to start taking notes while I read through the posts so I can do better personals! :?

crissylove - nice showing with the eggs! 14 - wow! and 3 blasts in should give you very good chances of a BFP!

AFM, I am feeling very crappy and sleepy and tired and low PMA on these progesterone shots. I forgot what a depressing hormone progesterone is Boy do i feel down and draggy. i was barely able to get my work done today. I mean - i love you, progesterone, for how you keep my lining thick - thank you, thank you for that! I dont mean to bad mouth you. But the mood and the tiredness and sleepiness is hard to deal with. I havent done the shots until this cycle. i mainly did suppositories before. the shots are way worse - because the progesterone is all over your body and not just near the uterus. Oh and to top it off - i am receiving absolutely no signals from my uterus. i know it is only day 5. and on my last successful FET i didnt start feeling the pulling sensation of implantation until later. But it would be nice to get some sort of sign. Uterus, please be a dear and send me a sign Urghhh - this stuff is hard. so hard. i wish there was a little camera they could transfer together with the embryos so you could watch them and know - are they still alive? are they still dividing?

Congrats crissy love that is brilliant, fingers and toes crossed for all on the 2ww.

AFM confirmed surge yesterday, currently ovulating, therefore transfer of 2d5 embies on Monday. That's a good day as my daughter has kindergarten all day and I'll see my acupuncturist immediately before and after the transfer. All excited nerves ready to go. Here comes that roller coaster.

Lydo. I agree I too fall off the coffee wagon upon bad news but I've been good for about 4 days now. :)

SD I'm rapt for you. Please keep us updated. That is brilliant news. :) the best!!!

AFM I hope all my acupuncture and chinese herbs help. I am starting uni agin in the 28th. I decided to go back to school after I had my daughter. So when I get my BFP I'll probably only do one semester then take a LOA. Anyway I'll be starting the 2ww soon. I don't know if I'll POA stick maybe I'll just wait. What is everyone else doing?

Does anyone have long cycles with later ovulation?

SD- OMG CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOo hooo. First to go, first to get the BFP!!!!! Cant wait until those lines are dark enough to post!! I am over the moon for you!! Even though my time is still a few weeks off, having you here to get the PMA started is just what I needed. COngrats again and keep us posted on the darker lines.

kyleen- What Chinese herbs were you on? I started going to a different acpuncturist this cycle and after the first session decided I should switch back. She took out paint samples and asked me to show her what color my menses was, and drew a diagram of my tongue in her notes, then she wanted to put me on lots of herbs and when I told her DH said he didnt want me on anything other than what RE prescribed (DH is an MD)- she said he didnt know what he was talking about and it was a bad decision. So back to the old acupuncturist. But thats why I was asking what you were on- since I know you did a natural cycle it makes more sense to take the herbs. When does your 2ww start?? Good luck with the tranfer.

LYD10- Yea i know what you mean with the progesterone. Tired, cranky, crampy- its like you appreciate it and everything but why cant it do its job without all the side effects. Ive never done the suppositories so I agree the shots do suck. And whats worse is I have nerve damange from the PIO shots since I did them off and on from Feb-Dec 2010 (and will start again soon). Dont get down because you dont have any "signs" yet- keep the PMA and know it will be your time!!

crissylove- Great #s!!! As for the 3 I am shooting to have that many put back in with our transfer. We did 2 with our fresh (both great looking) and got a chemical, then with both frozen transfers we put 3, and it wasnt until the last one that I got pregnant..even though I ended up miscarrying. I think you will definitely end up with your BFP this time. Good luck with the bedrest...I know it can drive you insane.

AFM- Even though Im glad AF finally decided to visit...she came on a little too strong. I usually have a very light cycle with only 3-4 days of only light tampons. Not this time. At one point I was trying to use the light ones and had to change every hour. I guess I should just be thankful.Starting lupron in less than 3 wks!!! I do have a question for everyone. The new RE wants me to try Viagra vaginal suppositories this time instead of any estrogen (its supposed to increase bloodflow to the uterus therefore increasing lining thickness). I was ok with it even though its somewhat new and experimental...until I found out how much it would be for a 10 day supply $350. Thats more than all the other meds combined since I already have the Follistim. SHould I still go with it or call RE and ask for alternatives?
