Darlene- This cycle I'm trying a microdose protocol , most clinics use lupron for it but we're using a micro dose superfact instead- less side effects. In my case it means more shots/drugs then what we did in the past. I'm a little nervous, because I've always responded well with less drugs. The only big change is that I'm older.

Mom$sure- I take coq10 daily and a several vitamins daily, I believe the coq10 helped with embryo quality. May start yoga again to help relax,

Michele- I understand why you'd want to keep it quiet. FIrst cycle I told a few people and I found it stressful having to explain when it didn't work. Not sure if I'll say anything this cycle.

AFM- One more month until I start BCP, so last chance to get prego naturally before shelling out the big bucks...again.
This is our last fresh cycle, so I'm dealing with those scary emotions too.

Hi Heide,

I see we are the same age. :) So I am curious why if less dosage are you taking more shots? I am wondering if that is what I will run into. I know I am really looking forward to the lower dosage of medicine. I felt way over medicated in my 1st cycle.

I wish you luck that you get a BFP, so you don't even have to go through another cycle. I am hoping for the same, although I know that chances of that are very slim.

I agree with both Michele & yourself that talking with others about it is not a good idea. I hated having to tell so many people about our BFN. I know that we will keep quite the next time around. My mother-in-law keeps calling me trying to get an update on what we are thinking & I am truly avoiding her.

hello!

WOW! I cannot beleive I am writing on this board again. As you can see in my signature, we are done with IVF......or so I thought! We are currently in the process of domestic adoption, but I got a call from RE Monday that says there are three day 5 blasts for donation! I cannot pass up the opportunity, so we may be doing a frozen transfer here in the next couple months! My head is spinning! We are waiting to see if the couple agrees to us....I should hear today or tomorrow!

Good luck to all of you! After 8 cycles and 1 miracle....all I can say is that this is worth all the effort! :D

Hello everyone! So sorry I have been inactive for a few days, I see we have a lot of new people who joined us! Welcome to you all and I promise I will go back and read your intro's and get back to each of you. I went away this past weekend to meet my new baby niece, just 11 days old! She is so adorable! It kills me that my brother lives so far away and I can't hold her everyday. While we were there, we took some professional pics of her, feel free to check them out: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=6 ... 8549210724

So while we were away, my daughter got sick, and was vomitting most of the 8 hour car ride home. It was miserable. I stayed home from work with her monday and then went to work yesterday, but felt it coming on to me. Now dd is fine, and I am miserable. Just so weak, feel like I can't do anything! Boo! I hope it goes away quick!

So I got af over the weekend. I called RE and went in Monday for u/s and bw. Once again, they are concerned with my blood pressure, so instead of going on bcp's, I will be starting lupron for suppression soon. I am nervous b/c when I used lupron before my fet, i kept getting delayed because I wasn't suppressing properly. I hope it is different for a fresh cycle vs an fet. I do not want to get delayed!

Hey, and in case you didn't see my separate post on the message board, today my support story was featured on the RESOLVE website. I wrote in to tell that that the people who supported me most were you guys! And they decided to feature it. Check it out here: http://www.mydestinationfamily.org/by-m ... ur-heroes/

I will get a list of our cycles going soon. I might need someone to help me keep it up to date.

Hello Ladies,

I will be doing IVF # 3 in April/May and would like to join your group. I have been following some of the other ladies on the Winter 2010/2011 and Feb/March cycles. I am looking forward to sharing my journey with a group who fully understand the rollercoaster that is IVF.

First a little history - My DH and I have been TTC since 2003. In 2003 we did IVF #1 we got a BFP and graduated to OB after HB, then at 11 week I had a m/c. Chromosomal testing was normal male. Then we did 3 FETs all BFNs. In 2006 we did IVF#2 and again got a BFP but m/c at 8 weeks. No testing. In 2007 my DH and I became foster parents and we received a 3 month old baby boy to care for. After a long emotional journey we were able to adopt our DS who is now 4 years old. Our DS is the reason we have decided to get back on the IVF roller coaster. We want him to have a sibling. He's going to be an amazing brother!

I am currently taking metformin for pcos, increased sythroid to lower my TSH below 2.5, given up caffiene (which is more difficult than all the needles I will be doing soon) and am doing acupunture 2xs a week (partly because I think it will help and mainly because I love it!).

I would love to hear about anyone's experience with metformin, hypothyroid, acupunture or immunilogical issues. I will also be getting intralipids for immunilogical issues this cycle.

I am excited because I know that I can get pregenant it's just a matter of staying pregnant and my RE seems to think that these new protocols will help. I am very hopeful!!!

BABY DUST TO ALL!!!!!!

Ok Ladies, I finally had time to go back, read some of your stories and put a tracker together. I took whatever info you had posted and will update as you update. If you need anything changed or updated now, just let me know. i know it is early, but these trackers really help me get to know everyone and keep everything organized. I am a very visual, listy person! Must be the math teacher in me...lol

My lupron came in the mail today. Such a reality check, getting some meds after such a long time without doing it. They said they wanted to order it early b/c there is a shortage on lupron. I think I will be starting right around the end of February. Everybody please pray I suppress fine. That is my biggest fear, getting delayed.

OKay I am totally jumping on this board!!! I was on the previous March board but due to a few issues getting started I am now going to be doing Fresh Cycle early April. YIPPEEEEE~~~

This is my 3rd try, still waiting on my miracle! This time around we are doing IVF with Genetic Testing-- trying to find that Golden Egg!!! Because we are doing 5 day Genetic testing I wont be transferring 'fresh' embies. I will have to wait 2 weeks for the testing to come back and then the good eggs will get transferred via FET. According to my RE PDG has about an 80%+ chance of success. YEAH!!!

I hope to get to know all you ladies! I am really excited!!

I am on BCP now and have been for 14 days, after this pack I am going straight to another active pack and probably starting meds in 2 weeks. Time is flying!!!

Michele- nice pics of your niece

Jennifer- Welcome, it looks like you'll be the first in our group to start.

Darlene- I'm not sure why they call it a microdose protical. Maybe because I'll only be taking injections for about 8/9 days? My old protocal had me on BCP and then over lapped a couple of days with superfact. Then superfact alone for a couple of weeks before adding stims( 150 Bravelle, 150 Menopur). I took one set of shots at day. On this new protical I don't start the micro dose superfact ( mimics Lupron) until a couple days after stopping BCP and I have to take it twice a day. After a couple of days I add the stims ( 150 Bravelle, 75 Menopur). So instead of 2 needles a day I'll be taking 4, and in my case twice as much Bravelle then before.

Lee- I've been on metfromin since 2005. When I first went on it I needed to know where all the bathrooms were. But luckly now that's a rare occurance, usually when I make poor food choices. One of the nice side effects was that I lost weight and have kept it off.

I finally got the written protocol in the mail and the good news is that Parent Teacher is a couple of days before I take my shots. That will definitly make things easier.

Michelle, you are a math teacher! that's awesome!!!! i still remember and love my math teacher from back in Russia. i went on to major in math in college because of her! good for you! what grade do you teach?
and thank you for including me on the list with a cure note of keeping up my pma for the upcoming beta. for those of you guys that might have missed my post a few days ago, i am going through a fresh cycle but dont have a good betting ratio with fresh cycles - so i am mentally preparing myself to join this board in April with FET.

Darlene - i also prefer to keep our ivf private. i dont like people constantly checking up on me - did it work? did it work?

Lee - so sorry about your miscarriages. hopefully the new meds and protocol will get your pregnant and keep you pregnant!

Heidi - are you a teacher too? you guys have the hardest jobs in teh world! i dont know how you do it! what do you teach?

Hi Ladies ~ I would like to be one of your cycle buddies. I was a 2009 June/July cycle buddy and had a baby boy Feb 21, 2010. My little one is going to be one on Monday. We have an appt with the doctor on March 1 to start to try for number 2. The women during my last cycle were such a great support I can't image what I would have done without them.

Hi Ladies

Wow, we have so many ladies in our group this is fantastic.

Michele, thank you so much for the listing with all our members and details, its GREAT!! I am sending you prayers that you suppress EXCELLENTLY and start your ivf on time.

Lee, welcome to the group. I am so so sorry about your miscarriages. That is really hard, to go through. I am glad you are with us and we can all support each other through this rollercoaster.

Jennifer, welcome. Like you i am also on IVF#3. Hopefully this is will be IT!!

Hi to all the ladies, i hope all of you are well. It looks like we are on our way now.

Well, AF was 3 days late but she finally came and i started the placebo pill, Nordette on Saturday. Just getting started, even if its the pill, is exciting coz it gets me that step closer to my baby :D.

I start yoga tomorrow. I cant say that i am looking forward to it. I am more of an aerobics, step aerobics, kick boxing, jumping and sweating person ( i am a part time gym instructor). I have a difficult time with staying in the same pose for a while.... But hey, if it will help my chances I WILL DO IT!!!

Is anyone here hoping for twins?? I am 39 and don't see myself being able to afford doing IVF again. Its taken me 6 years to do this again. SO I AM PRAYING FOR TWINS!!!
