Karen - welcome to team pink, I think we have outnumbered the boys! Congratulations!

Lou - great bump, the thing about pregnancy is you have to make peace that your body is not yours anymore! Then breastfeeding and unfortunate side effects of ths beautiful process. But it is all for a great reason and that's why we are here after going through so much to have those wonderful "battlescars" :)

Chris - so happy to have you here!!!

Karin - go to lilypie or any site for pregnancy tickers, create one then click on board or BB group link, whichever ones have a [img] on them. Then copy and paste here in your signature, make sure to delete anything before [img] and after [\img] and click on the boxes under your signature for allowing those codes!

Hello everyone,

Karin - I'm trying my best with food though today I had pizza:))) I see that Riogirl already wrote to you regarding the ticker - looking forward to seeing yours!
Kjm - Yep! I'm pretty annoyed that I have to wait until the middle of week 6 to get an U/S but I suspect it's because the RE wants to see if by then there won't be any trace of the twin he suspected was there at first but seemed to have vanished, . Though he only could have suspected all this based on the 2 betas I checked. I had a much better day when it comes to my tremendous belly, but eating pizza didn't make it any better

Karen - Congrats on your baby girl!!!

Karin - to get a ticker go to this link, its just one site , http://lilypie.com/Pregnancy.php just follow the instructions. after you have gone through all three steps, it will show you the final ticker and then a bunch of links at the bottom click on the link that say ubb code. once you clickon that link other jumbled stuff will come up.. looks like this.
copy the information that is between [img ] [img ] as what i have at the bottom link but you have to add the first [, i left it out so I can show you. you will probably have to delete some of the stuff already in your signature because it only allows 255 characters. hope that helps. oh and make sure you don't have disable bbcodes checked for your signature.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. i did another beta test today and won't get the results till tomorrow. i hate waiting. I'm just trying to keep myself busy until my u/s which is so far away. march 30 16th more days to go. . Some of the gals in my cycle group are getting earlier u/s and i thought to ask for one but i have decided to wait. DH can only get off of work so much and he is taking off the 30th and i want us to both be there to first see our bean. plus then we should be able to see the h/b. I will be 6w4d. save my 2nd u/s for the 8th week before i am released to the OB. Time needs to move faster.

Chris: I am so beyond thrilled for you. You so deserve this after such a long battle.

Lou: I don't think I like you any more. Ok maybe it is just insane envy over those abs and the fact that your bump picture looks better than my abs ever did.

Karen: Welcome to team pink

AFM: 5 hours away from 37 weeks. I went to my OB/MFM. He said I am still 4cm but totally effaced and that the"baby basically hanging in air" and as soon as I start with strong contractions to get to the hosiptal. He let me off bedrest, but I think I am still going to take it easy for a few days. DH has a busy schedule on Thursday (that of course if he had to he could ditch) so I plan to take it easy until them. It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend here, so as of Friday I plan to enjoy the outside, some long walks. I am getting so anxious and the bedrest made it 1000x worse, although I did have a sad moment yesterday as I was feeling her hicccup away and thought "once she is here, I won't be pregnant anymore and be able to enjoy this".

Karen, congrats on the girl!

Stephanie-I've been congested and basically the OB thinks the fluid moved to my inner ear and caused the vertigo. I'm feeling so much betternowas far as that goes.

I have a question for those of you ladies that have gone throught contractions before. I know they differ for everyone, & with this being my first pregnancy, I'm not sure if what I experienced is Braxton Hicks or not. Yesterday morning I woke up with pain in my lower back (I've been sore recently, but this was worse) and cramps in my abdomen. The pain lasted for about 5 minutes straight and then went away and didn't happen again. Today, I felt a pinch in my back that happened for about 15 minutes and happened every couple of minutes, but it didn't feel the same as when my sciatic nerve acts up. Does this mean I am set up for back labor? Anyone experience things like this, and this early? I know contractions can happen early to get your body ready, but I figured I would at least be in my 3rd trimester.

Hey Deidra~ BH contractions can happen throughout the entire pregnancy really, but as you move further along you start to feel them more. Yes some people don't experience many at all until right before labor begins. Mostly, here is how they feel: If you flex your arm to make your bicep show, it causes the muscle to contract, or tighten...so when you have a contraction, it will tighten in your tummy, and can also tighten into your back when they are BH. I have them all the time, about 4 an hour or so, sometimes more. They shouldn't hurt. If you are having any pain at all and feel a tightening, you should call your doctor. But, if they are there and just feel firm to the touch on your belly, and don't hurt, it's totally normal to have them at this stage. :) Remember too, that all of your joints are much more loose than normal and sometimes you can have back and hip pain that is even different than sciatica pain. When in doubt, if you are worried, it hurts or something just doesn't seem right, don't wait to have it checked out. It's better to be safe than sorry. Hang in there.

Karen~ You've joined team Pink!! :D Yay!!! So happy for you and glad you know now what you wanted to know!!!

Karen: Congratulations on your little girl! What fun!

Deidra: I've been contracting for weeks now. The MFM doctor told me its totally normal. If you have more than 4 an hour though you need to call your OB. Rest as much as you can and drink lots of water as dehydration plays a big part in contractions early on. Generally BH contractions don't more than last minute or two. Hope this helps.

AFM: No appointments for me this week which is kind of nice. We're out of the woods on the TTTS the boys were only 2 ounces apart at my last U/S, so they gave me a month off. I go back on 3/30 for another anatomy scan to check growth, fluid levels and of course the lovely cervix. My GTT is next Tuesday, yuck!!!! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Karen - a girl! Yay! How exciting!

Didi - 37 weeks! Wow. Congrats! Baby will be here before you know it!

Chris - I'm soooo excited for you! My clinic does early u/s (to check for twinning), but I don't know if it's the best idea. At my last u/s (5w2d) we saw 2 gestational sacs.... now I'm dying for Thursday (6w2d) to make sure they both have heartbeats! I think waiting until there will be heartbeats is a lot better. March 30 will be here before you know it!

Kay - Pizza is okay --- all I'm eating is donuts! You are doing better than I am!

Lou - you look great! I'm sure you'll get your body back after this baby is born. I wish I was starting off with such a great body!

AFM - 6 weeks today! Again, I know I'm a bit behind most of y'all, but this is exciting for me! Halfway through the first trimester!

The puking has begun. With my last 2 pregnancies, I had HG. I was hoping to avoid it this time (you aren't guaranteed to have it every time), but I started puking yesterday. I've been super queasy for a few weeks now. Yesterday, the only thing I kept down all day was a bit of orange juice and 2 custard donuts. Breakfast and lunch both came up (the donuts were dinner!).

I just started a new job. Yesterday was my second day. I ran out of a staff meeting to vomit breakfast. Of course, the bathroom was right next door and everyone heard me. Someone else was in the bathroom when I threw up lunch.... so now I'm sure rumors are circulating..... crap. I had hoped to keep this a secret for a few more weeks. Any ideas for an explanation of why I puke so much? Bulimia?

Thanks everyone for the awesome congrats! I can't believe i'm having a girl. I'm really excited...doesn't matter to me whether is was a boy or girl...but knowing the gender really makes it feel more real b/c now I know who I'm buying for!!!

Mellow- If you are having 4 or more BH per hour, I'd let your doctor know. I can't recall clearly from early posts...but maybe you already have an agreed upon "when to call" with your doctor regarding the # of BH that you are having. I just know in my experience when I had that many with my twins it was b/c I was going into labor...and it was real. Four or more was the limit my doctor set with me for my twin pregnancy...and I went into labor in my 23 week that started with painless BH at 15 minute intervals. Of course I had an incompetent cervix too, but BH is an independent factor. I'm just looking out for you my dear. I want you to keep baking those babies! I know I'm probably extra sensitive to this due to my past, but please be extra proactive when you have BH ...esp with twins. It can change very fast. xoxoxo Karen

So girls I am just curious as to how much weight everyone is gaining? I know that it can vary but with my son I only gained 12lb in the whole pregnancy and he was 9lb at birth then a few weeks later I saw just how much weight I lost so I always thought that if I ever got pregnant again I would gain a lot more but once again I am almost 17 weeks and so far I have only gained 3-4 lb. I am not overweight I started out at 5ft 4in and 137lb and so I am just curious if this is normal. I know this probably sounds like a silly concern but I am a worrier...btw the baby measures perfectly so I am just curious if little weight gain is normal

I've gained somewhere between 7-8 pounds. I feel like I am losing weight in parts of my body like my face and my wedding ring is falling off but my belly is getting bigger. I have an OB appointment tomorrow, I'm going to ask how my weight is doing.
