Hi Ladies - i think I am getting a bit of luck my way. i went off PIO yesterday and i believe i am getting AF already. Wow - i did not expect it to come this quickly - but this is awesome. i thought it would take a couple of weeks, but i seem to be spotting already. Yey! that means i just need to wait about 4 weeks now for next AF and i believe i can start FET.
i will let my doc know and see when he wants me in for b/w

LYD10 Great news AF came early, only a month to go till your FET

AFM I have an appointment with my RE on the 29th to collect my meds etc:
My plan is:
Stop BCP on 28 March and hopefully AF comes on the 31st
Start stims on 1 April
Egg Retrieval planned for 13 April
Embryo transfer - 16 April (if its 3 days transfer) or 18 April (if we take it to blast)

Everything is lining up perfectly. Our donor passed her psych eval. They gave me a list/$ quote for her meds, $3300....but it looks like I have enough of my meds left over to pass to her and will cut the cost to maybe only $500 bucks! We have our education class on Thurs. I start my meds on 3/29 (only about 1 1/2 wks away)!! Her retrieval is April 25th'ish, with transfer April 30th'ish. I have a really good feeling about it this time!

CT_Michelle – I’m like that too…such a planner….I hate when things get changed. Congrats on getting your baby in a box soon! I think we will be really close this cycle. I can already anticipate needing help staying out of crazy town. I hear you on the Lupron B*tch! I am so happy that my RE told me that I’m not doing lupron this cycle. Are you getting bad headaches?

LYD – I’m glad we’re both over here, wish we weren’t. I still feel so bad about everything you have been through. So happy that you are getting AF! Hopefully you can get this show on the road!

WeHaveHope – I can only imagine how ready you were and anxious about being delayed. That happened to Ryann (Rypell) this year and she froze her eggs and did FET the month later and received a BFP! I hope you follow in her footsteps!

Mom4sure – We’ll be close this cycle too! Can’t wait to cheer you on!

Dallas – That’s awesome! So glad your donor passed everything! Where do you live? Seems so reasonable!

Congratulations Dallas! You are on your way to a BFP! I have to ask- how much does the donor get paid on top of the meds, if you don't mind sharing? We are working on adoption but still doing an FET and have high hopes. I am not sure given that I haven't had my post op appointment with our RE yet, but my guess is donor eggs may be in our future. In my last batch of 6 only one made it to blast (three were morulae) so I think he may tell me he has concerns about egg quality. I'm not sure I am up for another fresh cycle regardless of whose eggs we use, but it is hard to walk away from trying completely and I am staying open to the possibility in addition to moving forward with adoption.

BlissfulCS welcome the ladies here are so supportive you will find comfort in all of them sorry you had to go through a BFN I have been through it and I know exactly how it feels but you know one day it we be worth it when we hold our little miracles in our hands so we should not give up hope but endure and still carry one this time it will happen for us.

Jenminkss good to hear that your basleine u/s was good your are right for us we have to pay thousands to have babies when others get them for free its hard but I know that once we get them it will be a very special gift that will mean a lot.

mom4sure 28th is just here all the best and enjoy your trip to Capetown I hate sitting at the airport for a long time waiting to connect anyway Cape town is a beutiful place am sure you have a lot to lookforward to . All the best this time its your time BFP for you!

Hi ladies - well AF definitely came full force. Lots of bleeding since its been 5 weeks since transfer and 5 whole weeks on PIO. the doc wants me for b/w in one week to see if the HCG is out of my system. its sort of a reverse pregnancy test yukky!!! hopefully in another month i'll be starting a FET cycle. I've been through one but completely forgot what my protocol was. I think i'll go search my posts from 2 years ago to remind myself. I am excited about my upcoming FET and also scared. because i believe i do better with FETs ( based on my one success) but what if it doesnt work this time and my theory is blown out of the water!!! Also, i am a bit struggling with how many to transfer. i think everyone is feeling comfortable around 3 ( that's what we did last time). but i dont know which 3 - from this last fresh cycle or previous fresh cycle. the previous embies are younger but slower. the most recent embies are older but faster. i guess i'll let the embryologist decide - and she'll probably pick the faster ones. or maybe we should transfer 4? i am scared of having twins though. it is just a much tougher pregnancy to get through with more risks - especially for me, a 39 year old. so maybe two frozen rounds of three is what we'll be prepared to do.
i also think i may need to go on a business trip to philippines. so that's good timing - i'll hopefully get it out of the way before the next cycle.
ok - i better stop jabbering and go get the cake for my dear dear DS who is turning one tomorrow!! we've got relatives in town and more coming tomorrow so it should be exciting. our garage is stuffed with toys - and there is more coming tomorrow. it is ridiculous! and the funniest thing is he just likes playing with regular household items, like toothbrushes and cups.

i am looking forward to reading our group's list. I have a terrible memory with names so please bear with me as i slowly remember who's who. but i have a feeling there is a lot of FETs on here.

Update: Our appointment with the RE couldn't have gone better. All of the tests came out great. The RE warned me that we probably wouldn't see any follicles as my ovaries have been in hybernation for about 9 months, but not to worry if that happened - but we saw 14 on one and 11 on the other, which she said is really good news. The office hysteroscopy and sounding went smoothly and now we're just waiting to overlap with the end of my shot. She's putting us on antagonist protocol and will overlap daily lupron injections with follistim and said that we'd modify doses as we go as they aren't sure how I'll react to the meds. RE was very positive in our appointment. What a relief that everything turned out all right in our appointment after everything we've already gone through. DH said its about time something went our way.

Tiger- I live near Raleigh, NC. The price really isnt as bad as I thought. The meds that i need are only going to be around $700. Luckily I still have $3000 of med insurance coverage left for me. I work at a hospital so I can actually order her meds from there "at cost", so it may be even cheaper!

Bliss- The donor actually makes $3,000, she gets paid the day of retrieval. She incurs no costs. The total for my cycle is approx $18,000, plus meds. I think this is our best chance due to my low egg reserve. I really feel like my quality isnt the best either and that is what caused my m/c with my 1st cycle in Jan. I think deep down prior to even doing our 1st cycle i always knew it would come to this. But I am totally ok with the decision, I actually feel more confident going into it this time. I just hope Im not setting myself up for disappointment. We both really like our donor from her pics and profile, she is alot like me both physically and by personality. I just hope she is like the Easter Bunny... with a basket FULL of eggs! I only made 4 eggs with my cycle, 2 mature, 1 fertilized....but it gave me a BFP, only to m/c at 7wks. Good luck to you!
