Hi Dallas! Welcome to donor egg IVF! Good to see you again. (We did our transfers on the same day in Jan and had exactly the same experience with the BFP followed by the negative ultrasound .) Sounds like your plan is well in place. I am still waiting for the bHcg to come down from the Jan cycle. It was only 15 last week so it should be fine Monday and hopefully I can start the bcp finally.

I am happy to be joining your forum and hoping for lots of good pregnancy vibes and fat babies for everyone. We are hoping to try donor egg IVF #2, frozen transfer soon. Next step is beta on Monday and need it to be less than 5 to proceed with next round. I look forward to getting to know you all. IVF should never be ventured into without buddies!

Oh Ester, you are da bomb! I am so overwhelmed right now with work and ivf and a toddler. I will buy you that dang cup of coffee if we can ever make it happen! April vaca, over our 2ww!

So I talked to the office today about bw from yesterday. My estrogen levels were still high, they said. They want me to double my lupron dose (Ha! Double b*tch for the next 2 weeks!) and do bw again on Thursday afternoon. RE says he does not think this will delay me. I am skeptical. Last time I was on lupron for supression I was delayed months before my estrogen leveled out. But RE says it is being used differently since I am doing a fresh cycle versus an FET. He better not be lying to me, if I get delayed, I am going to FLIP!

So sounding on Tuesday, TESE consult on Wednesday, bw on thursday, I bet meds will come in the mail right after that....geez it is so close now...eeeek!

Moorebaby ~ I had SHG during my 1st IVF and didn’t hurt either. Good news about your insurance going through. I have only used Crinone gel suppositories and they were not bad.

AFM ~ I started BCPs on March 11th, have a hysteroscopy on March 24th, start stimming on April 2nd with a possible ER on April 13th. It amazes me the amounts of meds that we have to take, when they showed up I had to take inventory! Good thing I did, because I was missing my menopur. Have all the meds now and am ready to go. I am nervous in a different way this time and not sure what feelings are different just know it is different? I guess my PMA is just very low. It might be that we were sooo lucky to have a baby from our 1st IVF, I don’t think it will be possible again. I think I have already come to terms with only being able to having one baby(which I feel truly bless for).

The letter is dated March 15th & a copy was sent to my provider. I have unlimited coverage & I am thinking they sent the letter because it is a new practice since I switched REs. Also, I assumed since my clinic ordered my meds, everything was approved. My insurance company should know the answer to that question since I've been doing ivf since September '09.
So what do you think ladies? I called my clinic & left message for my nurse to call me Monday.

Dallas-- Congrats on the donor stuff going so well! Just curious, did you get to pick the donor out? I am not sure how that works... if the next cycle doesn't work we are considering moving to donor eggs so I am preparing by getting some information on how that works.

Faithful2011---I agree, this is a truly amazing group of ladies! When I found this forum I wasn't sure how interactive it was going to be but I found it to be extremely supportive. It's awesome to cycle with all these great people and share their success' as well as comforting them when things don't work out. [*]

Red_Riding_Hood-- Congrats on the tests passing with flying colors! I love when cycles start out with such positive news. During my baseline my RE only counted about 5 follicles so I am a little worried! IVF # 1 they retrieved over 17 eggs so I am hoping to get the same this time.

Moorebaby-- Thanks for updating the list for us, Michelle is right your awesome! It's so fun to see my name on the list

eggandaprayer--hoping that Beta comes down on Monday. I hate being in Beta limbo, I went through that with my chemical. Did you do donor eggs for cycle #1? Your right IVF is one of those things you needs support, especially for those going through the same thing.

CT_Michele-- Haha @ "Double B!tch".... You know what is weird, my RE doesn't test estrogen levels at all. In fact my next appointment isn't until April 4 which is right before transfer... I am going to email about this on Monday. My old RE constantly had me in for monitoring. P/S--- You wont get delayed so don't worry!

nicksgam---Lupron treating me well... well DH might disagree with that haha Looks like we are just a few days apart too! How exciting. Things are really starting to ramp up, I cannot wait!!!

cherry5--- I like the information you provided on the visualization technique. I am going to try that for sure. They say the mind is a powerful thing so I totally believe this could be a positive thing.

AFM-- Well today was day 2 on Lupron. I lost it on DH a few times today and got the classic Lupron headache in the afternoon. Stims a little over a week away, not looking forward to the ER since last time I got OHSS. I am reallllly scared about that. Anybody have any advice on how to prevent this? I heard Gatorade?? I am starting to get nervous about this cycle, we have invested so much money and I just cannot imagine it not working. We have been disappointed twice before, I really hope that this is our TIME! I am trying to maintain a PMA, I am going to need the help of you ladies!!! Update the Orange Underwear--- Okay I have tried about every place I can think of and I am having a hard time finding them. I found a pair on Nordstroms.com for $29 bucks.. no thanks. I am going to try Wal-Mart tomorrow although I HATE that store!! I think they might have them and I need at least 7 pairs to rotate through the 2ww Praying like crazy !!!
I am really excited about all the ladies cycling in this group. I have cycled with a few of you and most of you are new to me so I cannot wait to get to know you all!

Jenmink55 Hey there. I know its a crazy time. Hang in there, your BFP is coming. The closer we get to the ivf cycle the stressful it gets, and the more our minds start this whole "maybe this, maybe that" process. Tell yourself you are falling pregnant in April and align all thoughts and actions on that fact. We'll all be here with you each and every day (((HUGS)))

AFM Have been spotting now for 4 days on and off, not sure if its normal. And the icing on the cake??? Just caught a cold from one of my nieces... Can you believe that. I've been 100% healthy for months, and 12days before i start ivf.... i get a cold. I am sneezing, have a running nose....UGHHHH!!!

moorebaby- Can you update me on the list. AF finally came and I started stims yesterday. I have a tenative ER on 3/29 or 3/30 and the ET a few days later. I go back to RE on Wednesday to see how the stimming is going. So excited to finally be moving.

jenmink- Ill have to let you know if I find any orange/green undies on my shopping excursion today. As for the Lupron, on the Feb/March board I was telling everyone I started fights with DH night after night. I told him I felt like he wasnt invested and didnt care about our IVF...when obviously he does. Good luck fighting the hormones off and staying sane.

I know i missed a ton of people but Im still trying to catch up on all the action here. Best of luck to everyone in all stages of the cycle.

Jen- Yes we were able to pick out our donor. We first started by narrowing it down off of a list with a short profile. Once we had a few in mind we saw their full profile and a photo. We were able to pick someone that is very similar to me.

Hey ladies- I found some cute fertility orange undies at Walmart. Thanks for the idea Jenmink... I bought about a week's worth. Didn't see any orange and green. I too hate Wally world but REFUSE to pay Victoria Secrets prices for my "comfy time of the month" undies.

mom4sure- sorry to hear about the cold. The exact same thing happened to me on my last FET. The RE said there was no reason to think it would affect the cycle at all, but I gotta tell you it freaked me out to cough and sneeze after transfer. I thought for sure I was going to knock those embies loose, but of course the reality is that they are snug as bugs once they are home. Still, hope you shake the cold quickly!

anyone else do the visualization technique when doing ivf or fet? i did this with the first and ill be doing this with my fet babies. i think it works. for those who dont know, while doing your bed rest after babies are put in you really focus and even lay your hand on your uterus and visualize your uterus as a thick sticky "fly trap". you picture your baby rolling slowly along till it comes to a stop and starts to sink into that syrupy sticky goodness. thats the best way i can decribe it. i do it over and over. having nothing but positives thoughts. i know it might sound crazy to some but hey i figure it cant hurt. i believe in positive thinking anyway.

Yes I did some thing similar during my last IVF. I just imaged all my little beans growing in my belly and that I would soon be a mommy.
