leora, i ditto the 'hang in there'.... and i also totally get how you're feeling. i still question IF i'm 'really' still pg. i believe it's one of the curses of having been through so much difficulty to get here. i was told in wk 6 when i had 2 u/s's due to bleeding, that they couldn't compare one to the other, in terms of growth (they were 2 days apart), as it was impossible to gauge a difference at that stage.

chris- as for symptoms, mine didn't start that early in any of my pregnancies.. they came and went from about 6 wks on until now... it drove me nuts when they subsided which was a terrible way to celebrate not feeling sick or exhausted ! ;)

rio, i'm due sept 17

margi- CONGRATS!!! i`m soooo happy for you!

lou- hmm. this exercise topic is an interesting one for me.. i`ve always been athletic, mind you, during ivf cycles, pregnancies, my miscarriage ect. i`ve taken some `breaks`.. with having my son, i tried to get `back into it`when he was 2 -3 months old... didn`t last long, and i just felt terrible about myself for it!! - so the lesson i learned for me, is with motherhood, breastfeeding, sleepless nights... i became more gentle on myself for not getting out as much as i would have liked.. sometimes when i had the opportunity to finally go to the gym- i just took time alone and did something else too.. as my son was almost 1 yr, i started getting back into it again, and then bam- i went back to work, which again, screwed with everything!! - and i only work part time.. but again, the lesson for me has been to be easier on myself, and trust that `the exercise will come`again when my life is more designed for it. i`m going to have a baby AND and toddler now,,, yikes! thank god breastfeeding burns 500 calories a day ;) i hope you find a rhythm that works for you and that you arent`too hard on yourself if you choose sleep, rest or shopping instead here and there.

Hi everyone.

Some of you will remember me from the summer 2011 cycle. I have been following the thread most of the time. I am glad to see everyone is still doing well.

Leorira, sorry about the big scare you went through, try not to worry too much, my twins still measure a bit behind my dates! Try to find something to distract your thoughts wile on bed rest, maybe a good book or a series you like. Good luck, you are in our prayers!

Just like Hannah: Just make sure you know exactly what is going to happen before you go into theatre, if you know what to expect it helps. I go to theatre every day, and try to explain to parents exactly what and when things are going to happen. I don’t have the choice of normal delivery, after a caesarean and with twins they would not do it here. Even though I would prefer normal delivery, I am not worried too much about the c/s; it has its advantages too.

AFM: Trying to work less. I’m 26 weeks today and everything is going well with the twins! Growing quickly and I am beginning to wonder how much more my belly can stretch. We did a 4D scan the other day and it was amazing! I will attach one of the photos. Still struggling to find the perfect names!

Hope all of you are well; did any one of you start with a baby room?

Deidre~ Glad to hear from you again. :) Your girls are beautiful! How lucky to have such a great shot of their faces in the same picture. Are they identical, or do you know? We are having girls too, and are having a terrible time coming up with names for them. I think it might be a little harder when it's two girls verses two boys...boys don't care about their names like little ladies do. :) Anyway so glad to hear you are well!

SD~ If you do try your doppler, don't get discouraged if you can't find little ones heart beat yet. You will love having that once you are able to hear the heart beating, especially as you wait to actually feel him/her moving. It's a huge stress reliever as you wait for that. :) Hope you are able to find that heart beat soon!

to have fun - I was just really tired and dizzy but not much else, this time I had OHSS so I was a mess but you are so early and some women really don't get that many symptoms. :)

wanababy - congrats on your gorgeous babies!!!

SDtrying - we never got a dopple because I feel like I would freak out too much if I couldn't find a HB so I decided not to get one, I hope you can hear yours very soon! I am sorry about the incontinence, that really stinks. What do you mean single parenting on weekends does DH work weekends?

Karen vancouver - I am with you that things changed a lot after our son and will change even more now, all for the better but leaves me with little or no me time, getting time to wash my hair sometimes is a luxury! I work full time and he goes to daycare so it is tough to get little things done since he demands a lot of attention and I love giving it to him! I love this quote I found from a mom of 5:

"Our home is clean enough to be healthy and messy enough to be happy" :)

Happy Monday!

Reenie- OMG, congrats. Hoping you heal quickly!

Babyluv- yes, I remember! Glad to see you have a set of healthy twins, belated CONGRATS! ☺

Klinger- WOW, that is an exciting thought! So soon!

JustlikeHannah- Hoping your days fly by!!!!!!

Dandme- A boring PG is a GREAT one!!!!

Leora- Glad to hear all is well, keeping up my prayers for you and your little one! I cannot imagine what you have been through, but what would ease my mind is that the babies are growing, even if they are measuring behind. My MIL always tells me that the human body is not a machine and does things in VERY different ways! And she is very right!

Karin- We put 3 back in (it was all we got after our ER). We are extremely nervous, but I am a planner and organizer by nature, so I already am brainstorming a few ideas and have been out in touch with someone local who has 17 month old triplets and she has been a GREAT help!
Thank goodness my sister is the same size as me and had twins, she just gave me all of her maternity clothes. I plan on walking around in sweats most of the time! LOL. Good luck finding clothes, what store did you look in?

Jamila- I hope you’re feeling better! I had hemorrhoids with my 1st DD, they were horrible, so I feel for you! I ate fruit salad and green salads with every meal after DD was born and that helped.

Ashley- Hope your MS subsides sooner rather than later. Have you tried the lollipops from BabiesRUs?

Margi- WELCOME! Your betas look great! Looking forward to reading your updates!

Chris- I had sore boobs a few weeks ago, btu I think that was the PIO. Then I was tired for a few weeks. The last week has been weird, I have been feeling great! So good in fact, I thought something was wrong. I am beginning to feel some MS hitting and I am trying to keep on top of it with Saltines and Ginger Ale, but I don’t think my stomach likes the bubbles ☹ I hope the next 9 days FLY by for you!

Wanababy- What an AMAZING picture! Congrats.

RioGirl- My triplets are due 11/6! Very excited to be added to the list

AFM- I graduated from the RE today, it was very bitter sweet. I LOVE my Dr’s office and will miss the Nurse’s and NP’s SO much! DD came with DH and I and saw and heard the babies today. She was AMAZED. A very sweet and precious moment. I see my regular OB on Friday and then he will refer me to my new Dr who is High Risk.
I think my MS is kicking in, I have been feeling “yucky” since yesterday. I don’t recall with DD (actually I thought I made it worse in my head), but I was with my mom this weekend and she recalls me not being able to get off of the couch at one point! Hopefully this is a passing thing. I have a high tolerance for pain, but very low for nausea ☹

Hi girls!

Leora: I saw a rainbow over the park while at my OB's during my NST and thoght of you. That must be a good sign for your rainbow babies.

Reenie[/b:] congrats on the twins. Are they home already?

Lou: I still don't think you look huge :) I never got a doppler because I knew I would freak myself out if I couldn't find a heartbeat.

Good luck to everyone else.

AFM: DH and I were out and about some this weekend (an art walk, a little work around the hose, some shopping). I was having stronger contractions off and on (4 or 5 in 30 mintes then they settled down). Saturday night after mexcian, I had medium strong contractions every 3-4 minutes for 2 hours and went up to the hospital, and was still at 4 cm and 90+% effaced, stayed there for a couple of hours with the same contractions and no change. Yesterday and today having off and on contractions and had a appointment with my OB (who is out and spring break, so I actally saw his NP) and expected still the same. Nope now at 6 cm, paper thin, and she said my membranes were on the verge of rupture, but I only had 2 small contractions during my 30 minute NST. So she said I could go ahead to the hospital, or go home for a bit and go in when I rupture (which she thinks will be tonight or tomorrow). I came home to feed the dogs and called DH who will be home shortly so we don't end up with 2 cars at the hospital to pay for like we did when I went in a few weeks ago. So I am waiting on DH and then if my contractions pick up or my water breaks, we will be on our way.

Hopefully the next time I check in on my girls I willk have a baby in my arms instead of my belly!

Hello all!

Margi -Congrats on your great beta numbers. I spied on the IVF board while I was going my cycle and finally joined once I moved over here. I was so happy for your BFP!!! You have had an amazing journey that is going to have a wonderful ending!!

Leora - I am so glad to hear that things are going better for you. Just relax and try and enjoy your down time - good movies, internet searches (just not too much). I know you have been through so much and I hope and pray this is the end of it for you and the rest of your pregnancy goes well. Try not to worry about size. I believe a good heartbeat is more important (my humble non-medical opinion)!!

Rio - please add me to the list as well. My EDD is 10-17-11 with twins. Thanks for keeping up the list!

to have fun (chris) - I have had very little symptoms. Boobs were sore but they eased up after I was taken off estrogen. I am more tired. No MS. I have had 2 days with heaadaches and dizziness starting around week 8. I don't worry about and try to be thankful to be feeling good.

Kay - I was nervous to be off the progesterone as well as I know it supports the lining but I was so tired of the 5 am alarm going off. I was worried the first day because I had another episode of headache and dizziness and extreme fatigue but the 2nd day I felt great. So I don't think it has affected me much. How are you doing? Good luck with your ultrasound on Wed. Hearing the heartbeat is amazing - but if you don't it can be too early in some cases.

DLK - Good luck for a safe and easy labor!!! Soon you will be holding your baby!

Mellow - Love the picture!

Hi Everyone:
I hope you are all doing well and are growing cute little bumps. My belly is enormous!!!
Had my OB appointment today which was pretty uneventful. Still contracting but not dilating, thank god. The boys are each about half a pound bigger than "normal". I have gained a total of 24 pounds, omg!!! I asked my doctor about working and he told me I was supposed to stop 2 weeks ago, oops. I will only work one more 4 hour shift on Saturday, then I'm done. I'm totally going to miss working :( I love my job so much I would work for free!
I hope you all have a great week

ok SD... i have to tell you my 'pee' story.. when i finally got back into exercising post-baby (not that it lasted long)... i was skipping rope again, which i love.. i was doing great and decided to try 'double skipping'.. (i used to box, and making that rope go round twice while your feet are still up in the air is not only a cardio feat- apparently it's a 'core' feat too)... well, i peed myself.. lol.. thankfully my bladder wasn't too full. but seriously, there was significant peeing. glad i was wearing black pants and the gym was empty.

ya, to double skip- your whole core really tenses up.. never really appreciated it before that!!!

on a serious note, i'm sorry you have to deal with that, it must be a bummer.. and wow, i admire you working full time and parenting on your own on weekends! i hope you and DH find that better balance soon.. :)
