I had horrible heartburn as well. My OB approved me to take 10mg Pepcid every 12 hours which has been very effective. Give your OB nurse a call or check your approved meds list - heartburn is terrible.baby_blu73 wrote:
afm - I'm officially miserable...I can't sleep. I can't get comfortable. I have BRUTAL heartburn that never goes away. It had me up all night last night. I ended up throwing up bile (and crying with my head in the toilet) at 5 this morning. At least I was able to lay down and get a couple hours of sleep after that. And I recently found some lumps in my armpits that I'm desperate to get looked at. I know it's most likely breast tissue, but it's still worrisome. SIGH I hate being a whiner, but this is the hardest thing I think I've ever physically been through... And I know how blessed I am to be where I am. It's just getting really tough.
Hope all of you wonderful ladies are doing well!
Rio -- I've heard the "140 rule" before but there's no science behind it. The main thing is not to overdo it. You especially don't want to overheat and raise your core body temperature up too much. Since my heart rate is much higher pregnant, I reach 140 without much effort and I'm certainly not overheating. So I don't think that number applies to me. I find I start to get "winded" around 170 right now so I'm trying to keep my heart rate under that. As for the CVS/Amnio issue... I'm not sure what I'm going to do. My RE isn't certified to do NT's but he sorta looked anyway and said he didn't see anything "abnormal". So I'm praying it's all a non-issue after the scan next week. If for some reason results aren't normal, I don't know how the heck I could wait a month or more for a level II then an amnio. My level II is scheduled for 18 weeks. DH has strong feelings that he would want to end a pregnancy if something was seriously wrong. I told him I agreed but then asked him about Down's and he said "to me, that's seriously wrong". We disagree there. People can live full lives with Down's. I hope we don't have to come to a decision like that. Makes me sad to think about it.riogirl71 wrote: Lou My OB said not to get my heart rate over 140, did yours say anything? As for CVS, false positives are so common in your nuchal/AFP that I would recommend not risking the higher risk of miscarriage of CVS and waiting for your quad and level II and then do an amnio if you need to. The risk is much less. But if you do need the peace of mind right away then a CVS might be better.
Hi baby.... I take zantac once at night at the 150 dose - I find 75 does nothing for me..... I'm freaked out because I only have 1 75 mg left and two more nights before we leave. Ugh. My son's GF has some Maalox but I'm not sure it's going to do anything to help. Tried to find something in the Mexican pharmacies but they only have a couple strange looking brands.baby_blu73 wrote:Sonya - I am taking Zantac 75 twice a day. I was thinking about increasing to the 150 strength. How strong is what you're using? Do you take it once or twice a day? LOVE the pic of you and DH, you two are a beautiful couple!
Anxious for tomorrow's first appt with my new OB! I also have my second glucose test (YUM!) and we get to see the boys. I'm hoping Brady (who's presenting) has moved from his breech position, but I'm almost positive from his movement he's still feet down. Stubborn like his daddy already!
Beautiful babies! Thank you for sharing these with us. I think it helps us keep our eyes on the goal when we are feeling miserable.Reenie100 wrote:Here are the twins! Hamilton is on the left, Shelby is on the right.
Sorry if the picture isn't that clear.
