Hey easley- I am a FET too...but not until almost May! Lots of FETs on this board...lots of ladies on this board period!

Thanks for the encouraging thoughts everyone.

Tammy- congrats on getting going "officially". Funny how we can feel the stims working. To me it always feels like the ovaries are "perculating".

AFM- I am on cycle day 13 of my "waiting" month in between my BFN and my FET. Yesterday I started spotting and today I started cramping and have a regular flow. I have never experienced this before. The internet says it can be for a number of reasons, all of which scare me a little (perimenopause, thyroid issues, fibroids, polyps). All of these things make me nervous that I won't be ready to go in April. I have a call scheduled tomorrow with my RE and will ask him of course, but have any of you every experienced this when in between cycles? I could use some encouragement or some really honest feedback if necessary. Thanks in advance!

:D Well, OMG... my internet went down again for 3 days!! We are finally switching to Comcast on Saturday so hopefully our internet/cable problems will be a thing of the past!!

I promise to go back for personals once I catch up! This board has caught on fire!! Image

Well, I am day 4 of Stims and there is def something cooking in my ovaries! I get moderate cramping every night about an hour after I inject. It's like AF cramps just worse. During the day I am crampy and very irritable. I cry at the drop of a hat and if you knew me you would know that's rare. My stomach looks like a pin cushion but it's for a worthy cause! My RE clinic doesn't do U/S or bloodwork until day 8 of Stims so I am hoping to god I am not overstimulated on Monday when I go in for a check. Does anybody have an RE that doesn't check mid Stims? I am starting to worry this isn't normal.

Still looks like ER will be around the 8th or 9th with transfer on 14th or 15th IF they find the Golden Egg with PGD. Image

Hoping everybody is doing well. I need to catch up on all of you now!!!

AFM- talked to my RE this morning. He says that based on the fact I had cramping yesterday and still have moderate flow today that I probably have a "crashed" cycle which is not uncommon after IVF. He says your ovaries get spoiled from the stims, and that when your body produced less natural fsh than what its been used to in IVF a follicle fails to develop and on comes your favorite aunt!

The good news is that he wanted me to do a sonohysterogram to check out that everything is okay because he thinks the quality embies we have transferred should have led to a baby by now. Since it has been 18 month since the laparoscopy, he wants to check it. Which means that I would have had to miss another cycle and due to work travel would have meant we were waiting until November to transfer. Yikes! Now that AF has made an early entrance, I can go in for a test next week and do the FET in after my next "real" period. So assuming everything comes out okay with that and a couple of additional blood tests he's ordering, I am probably going to be delayed a little but can still fit it in before I leave for school. It will be close and will mean that I will be away from home alone during my 2ww, but after how crazy I was in this last go around I think that might actually be a good thing.

Of course there is still the risk my cycle will stay crazy or that we'll find reasons we are having issues which would be a game changer, but for now I feel really good about staying on track.

We also decided not to go to blast with the 4 cleaved embryos we will be thawing, instead we will do a 3dt...possibly with ALL FOUR depending on quality (he won't do four if they all look great, but that is pretty rare I guess). So we have our plan set and I go in for testing next week. I have never had a sonohysterogram before and am a little nervous because I have heard you all complain about them before!

Anyway- I am cautiously optimistic at this point that I will be a May transfer.

Sorry for those of you stalkers who may be reading this twice. :D Have a great day IVF friends!

Hi everyone!

Bliss~Sounds like great news, sending tons of PMA to you!

Tammy~Looking forward to our Christmas babies!

AFM: I was just wondering if anyone had a cycle cancelled because their emby didn`t survive the thaw??
I have only 1 on ice and although my bean looks great (per the endo) I`m so nervous about this.... This is our last chance.

Is anyone else having any lower stomache swelling from the Lupron? I haven't had any real mood swings and only a couple of headaches but I've noticed some tummy bloating. Just wondering if Lupron might be the cause. Always something new to be worried about, right ladies?

So excited for all us ladies getting ready/going through this journey! This is our year! Our little winter babies are coming

Bliss,
Sounds like you've going to be busy with work and upcoming surgery. For the HSG be sure to take some motrin for the cramping associated. It's uncomfortable but shouldn't last more than 5 minutes.

Tammy,
Yes there will be some Christmas and New Year's babies coming in 2012. :D

Yay, so many here are about to start injections. I start Femera on Friday and shots with Foliistim next week. Next u/s will be Wednesday. Looking at IUI approx around 4/9 all depending on how well I respond to the meds. Said yesterday we are shooting for 3 follicles, orginally thought we could do 5, not sure what happened to that. DH told me the other day that it sure would be nice if this worked this time so he could get the truck paid off this summer...It kind of puts pressure on me when he says things like that, if only we could wave that magic-wand we would.
I know all we can do is take it one day at a time and keep on praying!

Easley - I was told that 90% of embryos survive the thaw. Those are pretty goods odds, but I am still nervous for when our time comes to thaw our little guys. I also noticed some stomach bloating, so I assume it is from one of the many meds I have been on these last few months :)

Hi all,

Thank you for all your kind comments and advice on 3 v 5 day transfer. I had my transfer yesterday - 2 embies transferred (one had reached blastocyst and the other was still compact) niether were grade 1. I am very hopeful of a BFP - have the dreaded 2WW, although I am sure I can test by day 12 with a 5 day transfer. Unfortunately none of the remaining eggs were good enough to freeze, only one other reached blastocyst. I dread the thought of going through this again, so am hoping and praying for a positive outcome.

Tammy - how are your injections going? - this really stressed me out, I couldn't inject myself I had to get my partner to do it for me.

Kelly (Easley),
I'm glad you asked about thawing and I'm very happy to read that 90% make it thru thaw. We, too, only have 1 frosty.
