ok, now that i'm a bit calmer. lol.

kelley- i don't know anything about b/w accuracy with twins, so i'm glad you'll be checking it out..

and leora- i know everyone says that bleeding is fine 'except with cramping'- the cramping is a red flag- well maybeit is, but i want you to know that i had cramping too- and now i'm still PG.. so it can be ok. i also had both with my son, and that obviously worked out well... big hugs and if i was you i'd definately go to the IVF clinic tomorrrow- i can't imagine them turning you away!

The time is going to crawl by, but before you know it you'll be holding your daughter in your arms! Take these last few days to enjoy the last of your pregnancy - I always felt a really sad/odd 'disconnection' for a few days without having the baby tucked away inside. Keep us posted!!

leorira11 wrote:crap. I had another bleed today. Not nearly as heavy as last time - and again it stopped in a few hours. But I'm really worried because I had really bad cramps. :(

I called my high risk OB's office. They said to come in tomorrow at 10am.

I'm considering dropping by the IVF clinic first thing in the morning to see if they can give me a quick u/s. I'm technically not a patient there currently, but maybe they will do it because of my history. DH is really pushing for that....
Leora; So sorry you are enduring this in what should be a worry-free pregnancy! Are you sure the cramps were related? I know I've had some pretty serious cramps due to tummy being upset that really freaked me out. I know your know your body but I am trying to throw anything out there. I am sending you so many good vibes - you've been through ENOUGH and deserve to have some stress free time to enjoy your bebes! You and I both know that with the good growth and heartrates your chances are through the roof of a healthy pregnancy. big HUGS!

PHEW! I met with my OB this morning and he sent me for a quick ultrasound. (The technician was all excited - "OMG! Twins! Did you know? How exciting!") -- everything is fine. I don't have a SCH, but there is a very small area of blood in the uterus, not near the babies. Both babies grew great since Sunday. Everything is looking good! Phew!

It's funny that I've had 2 failed pregnancies, but never had ANY bleeding with either! Suddenly, I'm having a ton of bleeding, but everything is fine. It's so counter-intuitive!

I had been really worried about the cramping, but apparently it's fine. OB explained that my uterus is growing like crazy and that's what's probably hurting.

Chris --- YAY! I'm so happy things are looking good for you!

Karen (Vancouver) - we are so happy to have you here. Even though this baby was conceived in a much more FUN way - you still understand how stressful this whole process is. I was talking to a friend today who is 20wks pregnant with her first, no trouble conceiving. It's a completely different experience for 'them' than it is for 'us'!

Kjm - I was told (last time around) that the blood work (AFP) isn't accurate with twins, because one healthy twin will cover up teh results of the other. That's why I'm offered NT scans even though my insurance doesn't usually cover them. For multiple fetuses, they do NT instead of AFP blood tests. (Also, I have a family history on DH's side of Spina Bifida, so we need to be checked)

Thanks to all of you for your love and support. It means so much to me that so many people care about these babies... :D

Leora- I had bleeds (but from a SCH) and cramps (4 instances that were significant) in my last pregnancy with the twins. I know it is so worrisome. Try to just take it easy as much as you can, drink lots of water. You can take Tylenol if the cramps are bad. Your OB is right, your uterus is expanding and engorged with blood now...esp with twins. All will be fine! Thinking of you.

Kay -- I don't think your blob is too concerning. I had spotting and blobs too and they turned out to be a very small SCH that healed over about 2 weeks. But call your doc anyway. If anything, then for piece of mind.

Baby_blu -- Awesome u/s pics!!! Where did you go for them?

Leora -- Sooo glad the twins are doing well. Must be such a relief for you. They are strong and you need to believe that this pregnancy will work. I know it's hard when you've been through losses before. But this one will work. You are going to bring home TWO babies!!!!

Bunny -- Loooove your belly! You look great. Thanks for sharing.

SD -- I'm off PIO shots too. You're right, it's awesome!

AFM -- OMG... just soooo busy. Work is kicking my butt again. I had dinner with a friend last night whom I haven't seen in a while so I gave her my news. She was very very happy for us. Then she shocked me by telling me that both her and her husband decided they didn't want children and he got a vasectomy and she got her tubes blocked (permanently). She is 33 and he is 38. WOW.... at 33, I wasn't sure I wanted to be a mother either. I didn't make that decision until age 34. Other than that, I'm doing very well. Nervous about my NT scan next week though. I do see my OB tomorrow but don't know if I will get a scan or not. One can always hope!

Chris - YAY! For a perfect heartbeat! Congratulations!

Leora - I literally sighed with relief for you! I can only imagine how relieved you and DH must have been. :D :D :D :D

Waitingkay, Amanda, Sonya, Lou - Thanks for the compliments ladies!

Lou - Those were done at my clinic. We have u/s at every appt. so once a month right now. They'll get more frequent after 30 weeks. They did a 4D pic @ 22 wks of Jaxon, but couldn't get a good shot of Brady because he always has his face pressed up against the membrane separating them. It was really awesome to watch them in 4D. I think they both look so much like my DH.

Rio - When they said my numbers were high, of course, I got really worried. Then I thought about you and how I have someone that knows her stuff that can help me through if I fail my 3 hour test, too. Did you do the 3 hour test with your son? How did that go? They said I have to eat a high carb diet with at least one "dessert" per day for three days before I fast Monday night for my test Tuesday morning. But until then, I'm avoiding sugar the best I can.

SD - So glad to hear all is well with you! And yay for subsiding MS and no more shots. Hoping for the world's most uneventful pregnancy for you! :D

Thanks again to all you ladies for the advise on testing. I did some research too and found that a NT should be fine but BW could be off. I called the OB and asked, still waiting a reply. What type of clinic does the NT tests? I know someone said that OB normally do not.

Leora - I am so happy that your babies are growing and doing great!!! Maybe this works for you - a stressful pregnancy equals healthy babies. I still hope and pray things calm down for you and you can sit back and relax and await to hold your babies in your arms!!!

SD- yay for hearing the HB on doppler - Glad your MS is doing better. It is so nice to be off all the meds and shots - congrats.

Well, according to my doc my glucose results from my 1-hour were a "little high". For now he said to keep my calories spread evenly throughout the day, stay away from sweets, no big meals, don't skip meals, and that no more than forty percent of my calories should come from carbs. I've been craving carbs like crazy and really have an aversion to meats and vegetables lately, so I really have to figure what the heck to eat. My next visit with him is in 2.5 weeks so he said we'll discuss it in more detail then (and I have a feeling that when we meet I'll be hearing that another screening or the 3-hour test will be in my near future.)

Rio - You posted some kind of GD breakdown by meal on the board before but I can't remember where. Any chance you could post that information again on this thread? I'd be ever so thankful!
