mom4sure~ Thanks for asking, the injection were ok. They hurt more than I remembered. The needle didn't really hurt it was the medcine going in. This time I am on 150U on menopur, twice as much as last time and 300U of follistim, 75U more than last time. Maybe that is why it is more painful, but still not that bad. So glad to hear everything worked out and you were able to start your injections today too. Tons of baby dust to us.

I am still on Lupron, I will begin to taper my dose from 10 units 2x daily to only once daily on Tues. I will take my last BCP tomorrow. I just realized that our Donor retrieval and my transfer will all take place during National Infertility Awareness Wk, April 23-30. Pretty cool.

morebaby good luck with your SnS on Thursday sunshine1576 I do agree with there is a lot of support here and I just feel much better each time I realize that at least there are some great people I can at leat talk to and share my burdens with. nickgam I wanted the whole world to know that I am pregnant the day I saw the two lines on HPT and at around 10 weeks I broke the news at work I could not wait guess that was too early but well that was my first BFP my whole life and was over the moon and imagine thats the time my baby stopped growing I did not even know it only discovered it on antenetal visit @ 13 weeks 5days so now I had to go back and start telling my work mates that I had a miscarriage that was the most difficult thing for me to do but I had to do it anyway. The support I got from them was incredible but this time around I think we will keep it to ourselves I think. mom4sure I am so happy for you its good to hear that you are going on with your cycle. Work has been so hectic as usual hahahaa! I am still going on with FET in April got my script already just wait for AF to come around the 12th

Hey ladies- welcome to the new joiners, this group is growing to be HUGE and its wonderful to have so much support.

Sunshine- hang in there! I like the way you are thinking. Its so hard to not let your whole life revolve around IVF, but we really do have to work on finding happiness outside of this journey for the sake of our relationships and our own sanity. Easier said than done many days, which is why we have each other!

mom4sure- glad everything is working out for you after getting a little scare. You are on your way!

All the ladies celebrating stimming...congrats!

Hello everyone! So many are in the stim phase now!
I got my meds delivered yesterday. For the first cycle my insurance covered my meds, and I only paid $250. Apparently I have now hit my limit, and this time meds were $2000 :( oh well. I've been on BCPs for 9 days now, but I've been bleeding a fair amount the whole time. Is that normal? I stop BCPs on Tuesday and have labs and U/S on Friday. I'm hoping all of the bleeding through BCPs isn't a bad thing. Has anyone else had this? Thanks for your input!

Hey ladies,

Nothing new to report but thought I'd drop in and see how everyone is :D

I had my last down reg injection last night and started the tablets and pessaries last night. I had my first acupuncture treatment on Friday evening and I've been trying to keep my lower abdomen nice and warm and make it appealing for 2 embryos to make themselves at home for 9 months! haha :D

Sunshine - I know exactly how you feel. I've had my fair share of ups and downs (probably more downs than ups!) but joining this webiste has really helped me. It's made me realise i'm not the only person going through this rollercoaster of emotions or to feel guilty of how i feel sometimes! I've got a LOT of friends around me that are pregnant or had babies (all naturally) and it's very difficult at times to pretend I'm "ok" with it. Me and DH have a fantastic group of friends and they support us a great deal but it still drives me crazy sometimes when they are constantly talking about babies and nothing else! I have one friend who had a baby in summer, winter and now they are trying in July for a spring baby! How nice to be able to choose which month you want a baby! I have really good days where I can sit and listen to them all talk about babies but when i have my bad days I've come to realise that I shouldn't feel guilty for not wantingto listen. I know they try and understand what me and DH are going through but they'll never 100% understand - not like you fantastic guys on here :D

At least I have my gorgeous puppy Bailey to distract me :D

Apologises if a similar message appears - i did type out a response once but it's disappeared somewhere! haha

tiffanyg1219 - will be keep everything crossed for you! :)

Speak soon ladies. Baby dust to all :D

moorebaby wrote:Hi girls! Just a quick post as I have zumba in a bit. I had my SnS yesterday as my baseline. My lining was at 7.4. My AFC is 15, w/ 7 on the right & 8 on the left. I also have a cyst on my left, but they aren't worried about it. My e2 level came back at 33. I am to continue my Lupron at 10 units (last night & tonight) & drop it down to 5 units as of Sunday night. I start 150 units of Follistim on Sunday night. DH & I also need to start our antibiotics (1 in the am & 1 in the pm) on Sunday & take them through Thursday. I go in for another SnS on Thursday. My nurse said that my ER will be around the 15th, so anywhere between the 13th & the 16th.
DH's SA results are the following:
-Thickness of the sperm: 3 (Should be less than 3)
-Concentration/Count: 3 (Should be at 20 or more)
-Motility: 6 (Should be at least 40)
-Morphology: 46 (Should be at 40 or less)
MooreBaby I read your post last night but didn't get a chance to respond. I wanted to ask you if DH is currently on a vitamin regimen? I might of already mentioned this some time back on the forum, but my RE suggested vitamin A and vitamin C which he started last August and the last SA he did right before Christmas showed much improvement. Dh is so funny he has researched so much online that he's developed his own plan. Along with the vitamin regimen, he has been eatting healthier (like more salads less fat) and stays active with running nearly 2 miles a day, telling me this gets the blood flowing to all the right places! Nope, I cannot argue with him on that! Anyway we would love to hear more success stories on SA and any regimen the doctor has prescribed for our "better halfs" to try. :D Sunshine1576

Faithful2011,
Your right the support is really good here and I'm glad too that we have someone to share our burdens with, someone who understands what we're going through and can relate to how we are feeling. I did exactly the same thing this time last year when we got pregnant. Once I got the phone call from the lab, I told the whole world. Only 10 weeks later, when we heard no heartbeat we had to undo everything but I was simply amazed by the loving support we received and how they shared their own personal stories with us. We knew we weren't alone, but I didn't find this board until last Fall when we were going through our first IVF and so glad we found each other here. :D

Sometimes when I'm sitting in the waiting area for a RE appt., and I see other ladies sitting there to so badly I want to meet them and start talking but I cannot bring myself to doing that. Sometimes I feel like I would be invading their privacy, so honestly that's why I'm here. For National Fertility Week, anybody have an creative ideas to share on how we can make a difference for awareness around us? ~Sunshine1576

Can I be added on as waiting for AF? Just got a BFN from a FET on 3/23. My official beta is tomorrow but I POAS'd and it's negative. We have one more snowbaby left. Then I think we're done.

Once AF starts we'll start the FET protocol again.

This part of the journey is the part that really sucks.

I'll change my ticker after the official beta tomorrow. It's not over til the beta lady sings.

Hi all! I am new to this website, and new to IVF as well. This week (Thursday) I go in for my "baseline appointment." We are so excited to have finally completed all the necessary exams and steps to get into the IVF program, and are really trying to stay optimistic. I have done 6 rounds of Clomid (3 with IUI), and had 1 miscarriage on Clomid along the way. The RE's cannot figure out why I have a difficult time getting pregnant, and once I do they can't figure out why I have early miscarriages (3 to date). I am really trying to stay optimistic about getting pregnancy this cycle! Please send some baby dust - I will do the same for you. Thank you for all the support, ladies! I am so glad to have a website to turn to as we don't want to tell a lot of people for fears it doesn't work.

 Hi Ladies! Wow, this group is hoping! I am so excited to see how many people are under the injectables now!!
Image

FInally able to get back for personals so here we go!

easley4-- I have never had a cycle cancelled because of embies not making the thaw, but I have only had 1 FET. They defrosted 3 and all three made it! From what I know clinics have pretty much mastered the art of FET and thaw success rates are around 90%. As far as bloating from the Lupron I def had some tummy bloating and discomfort so no worries!

Sunshine! How are the injectables going for you? Feeling like a pin cushion yet LOL..If you retrieve on 4/9 we will be about the same day-- 2ww buddy!! BTW-- my meds were delayed for 2 days due to weather! Also, Lupron is used to treat Testicular Cancer :? I almost freaked out when I heard that!! Didn't know about Femara but nothing surprises me these days LOL

Ellis79--How are you doing in the 2ww, have you made it to crazytown yet!? Image

Rio-- It's nice to see you crashing this thread, you bring good luck!! How are you doing with your little pumpkin in there!???

babytime-- I can relate to your situation, feel free to private message me if you want. It's a lot of pressure going through IVF especially having been able to have kids naturally before. Hang in honey, it's a wild ride but worth it. I am still waiting for the 'worth it' part!

moorebaby-- I am on 300 Gonal-F and 175 Menupur. I am really freaked out over this no checking until stims day 8 but tomorrow is the day so I hope all is cooking well in there! Good luck on the shots, tonight right?

mom4sure- Welcome to Cape Town!!! Glad that you are finally on the stims after all that drama. IVF can never go smooth and on plan something always has to cause problems LOL. Glad you are on your way and baby making in a gorgeous place!

nicksgame-- Yahoo for the Orange Toes!!! Mine are orange too and of course rocking the orange undies! LOL... Going to do a fresh Orange paint tonight since U/S is tomorrow. How are the stims going?

vicky1707- Image Congrats on the upcoming FET!! Sounds like you have a lot of frosties to work with, right on! This is a very LUCKY board so we will be seeing your BFP soon! Sorry to hear about your MIL... I think your right in continuing. She is shining down on you from heaven. Good luck, major buckets of sticky baby dust heading your way! BTW-- a friend of mine used Viagra to thicken the uterine wall, worked great!!!

deftonesmo-- AF come yet!? Here is a dance for you just in case! LOL Image

CT_Michele-- How are stims going!!?? Are you cramping yet?! BTW- on another board I belong to I know of three girls who all had Beta's on their birthdays and they were all BFP's!! Birthdays are lucky for BFPS!!! Sorry to hear about your MIL... that is so sad  BTW-- checked out the pictures of Ella, what a DOLL! Glad to hear you told your principal about your plans, it kinda takes the stress off. I am in a weird situation with my boss and haven't told her. Maybe you have inspired me to do it!! It would make life a lot easier and I wouldn't have to come up with dumb excuses everytime I need to be at an appt LOL.

Dallas-- good luck with the Donor, good luck it's during IF awareness week I think!!!

Faithful2011- AF yet? DO you need an AF dance too!?

Bliss-- how are things going? Are we still on track? I could not imagine waiting until November! I pray that everything keeps going smooth for you.

Tiffany-- congrats on PUPO! Buckets of Baby Dust to you!! Image

Hope I didn't miss anybody, my brain is mush today! DH and I just finished remodeling our office this weekend and I am so tired.

AFM-- Today is day 7 of stims-- the last few days I was REALLY cramping bad but today it seems to have mellowed out. Haven't been to RE since I started stims but tomorrow is the big U/S check to see how many follies are in there! I am really hoping and praying that all this cooking has produced something--- I need some good numbers-- may prayers please!!! After tomorrow RE will decided if I need to stim a few more days or if we will trigger. For now my tenative ER date is on the 9th of April, PGD on day 3 embies, and transfer on day 5. Praying like CRAZY we have a golden egg in there that is normal...

WIll report tomorrow on the count. Baby Dust to everybody and congrats to the Pupo group!!!!

Much Love-- Jen
