Quick question~ Anybody have any info on uterine lining thickness? Mine was between 8-10mm today with my FET this Monday (4-11-11). Will it be to thick by then? Anyone know how much it changes daily? Thanks guys! Don't know what I'd do if I didn't have ya'll to run to w/ questions!

Kelly - I have my FET on Wednesday 6 April eeekkk! I too would like to know what else I can do to make the lining thicker. I'm still on my hormone patches, tablets and pessaries. I've had one session of acupunture and was advised to keep my lower abdomen nice and warm! Not sure what else I can do! At my last scan my lining was 8.6mm - my scan was last Wednesday (30th March) so I'm hoping that within the week it'll get even thicker!

Officially negative. Guess I'm moving onto an April FET. We have one frozen embryo left. After that, I'm not sure what we'll do. I just don't understand why it's not working. We transferred 2 great looking blasts that were donor sperm and my eggs. I have PCOS, but women with PCOS get pregnant all the time. Very frustrating. Sorry to be a downer today.

Insurance coverage would be the answer to our prayers and I wish someone would send me a petition to sign, because I would in a heartbeat! I wonder where we could go to do that or could we start one here? Sounds like an act congress but I know alot of us here would participate in ANY way whatsoever if it could bring us that much closer to having Insurance Coverage...

AFM: Interview #4 went over good, but might be a little over-qualified for this job and have to stick with my salary requirements. That the problem with living in a college town, they can hire someone fresh out of high school and pay them less. Will see on Wednesday how everything goes with a callback. Plus Clinic appt coming this Wed, get to start Follistim injections Wed evening! I'm sounding more like a junkie who gets excited over injections!

Wow - I don't even know where to begin with everyone as there's so much to catch up on, plus so m,any new folks. Thinking happy thoughts, sticky syrup, and baby dust for everyone.

Update: We had our injection class last week and it went really well. Medications arrived on Friday and we start our Lupron shots tomorrow night with stims on Saturday. We're both super excited and DH is already worrying about my stress level. "Don't worry about that, I'll do that for you." Its so cute. He has the calendar out, medications are lined up, and is scheduling everything around my shots - he's such a planner. As this is our first time doing IVF - anything (side effects) that we should be concerned about? We're doing an antagonist protocol with Lupron and Follistim and Menopur. Since I was already on Lupron prior to this for endo, I won't be doing a suppression check, just jumping right in.

Quick update- went for bw this morning and u/s this afternoon. Today is day 4 of stims, but I have not taken my 4th dose yet. Estradial was 250-something. The dr lady who does the u/s and protocols warned me that being on lupron, she expected nothing much on u/s today. She said lupron grows the follies slower. I think she was surprised to see at least 6 on one side and at least 7 on the other! i know that is good, but I am hoping more pop up for wednesday. RE said everything was right one track and I will go back Wednesday for u/s and bw again. He kept my dose at 5 lupron, 1 vial menopur and 375 follistim. I am still tired, achy, and cotton mouthed. It was a very rough day at work. I need to remember to keep water in my room tomorrow. I felt like I was gonna throw up with how dry my mouth was.

Oh tammy, that sucks big time! So sorry you got canceled! And I am in the same boat with my SIL's baby shower that I am hosting. Depending on when my ER is, ET might be on the day of her shower! How in the heck and I going to do modified bedrest when I have to host a shower?! And it is looking more and more like that will happen with each day that passes.

I wish I had time for more personals, but I gotta try and sleep earlier tonight. I am working a 14 hour day tomorrow b/c parent-teacher conferences are tomorrow night and with how much I need to leave for dr appts and take off next week for ER/ET, I have a lot of work to do. Ugh.

Thanks Jenmink. Yeah...still on track. I had 5 different tests plus a progesterone level today when I got my bw done. I filled so many vials! Too bad they don't donate it when your done when you have so much drawn. At least I'd feel better about being poked that way. SHG tomorrow and our first appointment with an adoption agony on Wed. It's a big baby week this week! Did you figure out if your clinic will monitor for you? Sorry if I missed it...this board is hard to keep track of with so many ladies!

Tammy- so sorry about the cancelled cycle. That stinks...but it is just bringing you one step closer to that egg that was just meant to be your baby!

Indigo- I am so sorry you are with me on this board my Feb/Mar friend. More hugs to you again! Let's get our babies together!

Had my first melt down...gotta re-focus and today was only day 3 of stims. Bw tomorrow. Hoepfully that will make me feel better. I have a HUGE fear of needles and I am giving my own shots. Very stressful. DH works an opposite shift so it's not much of an option. Sorry to be a downer...had a bad couple of days. Tomorrow will be better!!

AFM: We had a good holiday, managed to see the TCM dr and get a perscription and ingredients for my pre stim tea. I really feel good about it. We can't get the same quality of ingredients here, and I know TCM dr helped my aunt in law live with 3 years with stage 4 lung cancer. Well need to do some planning for school tommorrow. Baby dust to everyone.

I just watched the best chic flix ever..."Someone Like You" starring Ashley Judd and Marissa Tomei. In one scene of the movie, a couple is going through fertility treatment and dh is practicing giving shots on an orange, really had me cracking up and made me think about what our own dh probably had to go through giving weekly samples in the cup you know just killing the romance. lol But I liked the movie overall and certainly would be worth the watch (with another girlfriend of course !)
Stormy weather coming this way and I have 2 labradors just laying at my feet so scared to be outside in weather like this. Dh was playing softball only hoping he was wearing boxers tonight and gets home soon before the storm hits us.
Anyway better run and finish cleaning house and find some candles...

Quick post! Really bad weather starting. UGH I hate lightening!
On second night of stims, 225 of follistim and 75 of menopur. I can attest to the dry mouth and tiredness and feeling achy! My IVF nurse called today with my results from my testosterone level check and they also tested my endometrium for anything growing. Everything came back normal! Thank goodness! I was worried about my testosterone level because Ive been taking the DHEA for about 4 months. I cant wait for my u/s and bw on Thursday. Grow follies grow!!! Best wishes to all of you ladies! Much baby dust to you all!!! Congrats to all that are PUPO!! Praying for BFP's!!!!

OH YEAH!!!!! HUGE CONGRATS to Margi!! On your 2 perfect little heartbeats today!! I also have to agree with whoever said boy heartbeats!! That was my first thought when I read your numbers! Grow babies grow!!

Blissful – Good luck this week! You are certainly on the road to becoming a mommy one way or another. I have an appointment to recertify our foster care license for one more year. Our plan is to try IVF but if it doesn’t happen for us then we will foster with the hopes to adopt. DH and I know that that one way or another DS will be a big brother some day.

Michele – You are on your way!

Red Riding Hood – YAY for DH taking such an interest in the process! This journey is so difficult it helps to have DH 100% by your side. I don’t think I would have embarked on this journey again if my DH were not super supportive. Give him a big kiss!


Sunshine – It’s funny how we get so excited over shooting up! It’s for a good cause.

Oh yeah AFM – I am had a fluid ultrasound and all looks good. Last BCP was last Saturday so now I am waiting for AF again to begin STIMS. But I am already shooting up since I have to take Lovenox for a blood clotting disorder.

Team Orange (and green) – I am rocking the orange pedi until I get my BFP. My DS has also been pointing out all things orange and periodically screaming GO TEAM ORANGE! It’s very cute. So far I have orange flip flops, orange undies, a few orange Ts and an orange star key chain that my DS asked DH to buy for me. They also built a planter box at home depot, painted it orange and green and bought me an orange and green plant. I am feeling the freshness of spring and feeling lots of PMA!!

RE said I responded well to meds and we are go for trigger tomorrow night!!! 1 more day of stims just because 5 follies are under 10 but the rest are 'huge' he said.. .not sure what that means. Lining was perfect, tri layed and thick YES!

Super excited but this is only a small win in a huge battle. Still need to find the 'golden egg' with PGD.. god willing we will have 1 or 2.

Oh and found out my left ovary is totally hidden. The nurse had to get up on the exam table today and use both hands to push in my stomach so the U/S could pick up the ovary. RE said that on ER they will have to really push in hard on my abdomen and I will likely have a huge bruise and a lot of discomfort in my tummy. This happened in 08 to me too, super fun and looking forward to it

So whomever is keeping track of the calendar moorebaby or CT_Michele I am moving to ER! ER on 4-7 with 5 day transfer on 4-12. LOL Thanks girls!!!

Back for personals later. Brought home work with me tonight, so fun!

Hi everyone,

My name is Jeni and I'm 36 and so is DH. We've been TTC for about 2 years and have turned to IVF after our miscarriage in October and failed attempts to get pregnant since then. I'm an IVF newbie and am almost through my first stimulated cycle. We had our egg collection on the 4th of April and found out today that we had 6 mature eggs out of 14 collected and all 6 were fertilized (through ICSI). So, we go in on Saturday the 9th of April for our transfer (our doctor does a 5 day blatocyst). I'm hoping and praying that we are successful on our first attempt but also know I need to face reality that it might not happen the first time around.

We live in Australia but I'm from St. Louis, Missouri (been in Oz for 11 years) and it's hard to go through all of this without my mom around but I just take each day as it comes.

Any tips from anyone who has been through this before???
