Stims are going good, not to much bruising. Great news 19-25 follies and only one more day of stims, praying for your "golden egg".

JenMink,
Sounds like you responded very well to the meds! That is so amazing, be sure to keep drinking gater-aid. I learned that from someone else on here. :D We tend to learn so much from our friends! :D :D :D

Heather,
Good luck to you also on Thurday with the B/W and Scan! I will be looking forward to hearing how everything goes...

Anton,
Sometime last month someone started Team Orange as our color, then another one joined in and added green since it symbolizes fertility. Couldn't remember why orange, but hearing from so many others talk about painting their toe nails orange and VS had a new shipment come in with orange panties. I received a coupon in the mail for a free pair of the newest style with lace kind of looks like boyshorts AND found them in tangerine. The saleslady said the advertized style has been selling quick, but when I saw the tangerine ones I knew those would be perfect! LOVE VS

Tammy,
Do you have anyone who might can help you with the shower? I know you want to be supportive, but also you NEED to be honest with her letting her know you have alot on your plate right now. Ask her to pray for you b/c you need her there too.
Hope everything goes well with the shower but try to keep everything simple...At one shower I went to, the mom-to-be opened gifts AFTER everyone left. I think it was done that way since there were alot of little kids there and thought they might get jealous or might get into everything. Something to consider.

Wow! This board moves fast!

Anton: So sorry about your BFN =( Your FET work in May! I just know it!

Tammy: So sorry about your cancellation. =( Hope the BD'ing works!

MIchelle: Pretty much any symptom you feel is from the menopur/follistim . . . I always get headaches, fatigue, and emotional . . . the progesterone is worse for symptoms though, because the PIO shots mimic pregnancy symptoms!

AFM: still waiting for AF . . . probably in the next week or so . . . I will be stalking the boards until then =)

Tammy - Geez I don't even know what to say but that I am so sorry your cycle got canceled and with MF it is not lie it can go to IUI. All I can say is I hope that next cycle is much better, you started out so well. My 2 cycles I always had leading follicles. The third one with femara and DHEA I did not for the first time. I know your RE didn't want to use femara. I hope it all works out soon!

Jenmink - wonderful news!!!!

Anton - how many frosties do you plan on transfering? Have you heard of having a mild D&C before transfer? I believe Lou and Leora had something similar done before this lucky cycle for them. Supposedly helps with implantation.

noodlemama you are certainly not alone in this forum! Where in Australia do you live? I love it country and have been lucky to visit it. It can work the first time, most of the time it takes more than one try but it can work, it worked for us. Keep up the positive attitude and if you have any questions, ask away! Stay united with DH this can all be very stressful.

Greekchick - I am so very sorry - huge hugs.

Hi ladies - i havent been on here in a while. i actually need to update my sig. it turned out that my slow rising betas and the absence of h/b on the U/S was an ectopic pregnancy! i was given a methazone shot a week ago and my beta numbers are finally coming down. so hopefully they will be back to zero in 3 weeks and my AF will come and i can start my FET. Our FET protocol doesnt start until day 21 of cycle - which means i have 6 more weeks to wait from today. Which is just as well because i have to go overseas on an business trip in 1st week of May.
i cant believe how long this dragged out. my last IVF attempt was in february and because of the ectopic i will not be able to try again until end of May! i also cant believe i ended up with an ectopic during IVF - the chances of that are very small. i asked the doc was that because i had to pick up my son during the 2ww - but he said no - he said it was probably during the transfer or within 1 hour of transfer. that's nice of him to take the blame so to speak. but i am glad that FET transfer i'll be able to schedule - which i will do during the weekday while my son is in daycare. this way i can do the proper bedrest of 2 days. with the fresh transfer the bedrest fell on the weekend and i wasnt able to do the complete 48 hours.
anyway - i never felt any pain or anything with the ectopic. but that's what i got. i cant believe this journey is so taxing and requires so much emotional stamina and patience! need a lot of strength to keep plowing away at it. who would have thought an ectopic during IVF - very unlikely - but here i am.
well - i cant wait to try again in 6 weeks. and that's just the start of lupron most likely. so i wont be transfering until June. wow - that's a long way a way. if it works - and i hope it does - the two kids will have very close transfer and birthdays! which is fine by me.

LYD10 - I am truly sorry to hear about your ectopic especially with IVF :( I actually had an ectopic (naturally conceiving). Unfortunately for me I had severe pains where the ectopic was. I was also treated with Methotrexate twice because the first injection didn't bring down my numbers. It took me almost two months before my beta was at o. It was the worst experience of my life and I would never wish that on my worst enemy. Keep your head up and I am sending you lots of hugs

Hi Ckret - thank you for sharing and thank you for your wishes of PMA. I am hanging in there! I am sorry you had to go through the ectopic experience with lots of pain. I can only imagine how much worse this would be if it was painful on top of everything else.

Hi Rio - thanks for your PM on MTX. By the time my FET transfer happens it will actually be 2.5-3 months from now. and good tip on starting to take folic acid as soon as my beta is zero. i will definitely do that. and will have my doc measure my follic acid again at the start of my FET to make sure its back up to good levels.

More bad news. Apparantly, there IS a cap on my insurance, my docs office was told wrong (remember me mentioning this before, I let it go, and kept my mouth shut). My insurance allows...4 cycles after a take home baby...I've had 5. Insurance is looking into whether I am going to be responsible for the 5th cycle...they said to allow 30 days for review. I did hear from a friend who has the same insurance/job...that if the doc writes a letter you can get a 5th cycle...so the 5th one may end up covered, but I doubt I'll get a 6th one now. I think God is trying to tell me something. All of this went down within 1 hr yesterday...the insurance info and the cancellation call. Perhaps almost losing the Ganerilix was God's way of saying..."enough already." I have a feeling we are done...completely done. Thank you everyone for all of the support you have given me over the years...I will be around from time to time to cheer you all on. You cant get rid of me that easy. xoxo

Good evening everyone,

Sunshine- Funny! the team I support in my country for soccer has a nick name "the Orange people" ! Cool! Thanks for the info! :D

Deftonesmo- Thank you for being positive for me dear :D I am doing the AF dance for you! :D

Rio- I have only 2 frosties (5 day blasts) and I am planning on transfering both. I am praying that both will make it through thawing (defreezing)...about D&C... funny! I've been doing some research on my own about implantation issues and came up with Endometrial Biopsy (EMB). It is much much less invasive than D&C and results are the same. Since I haven't had a m/c there is not a must to do a D&C and I think (maybe I am wrong) that the EMB is the right one for me. Maybe by doing this I will get some answers on why I get only BFN's. If there is something wrong with my endo and its preventing implantation this might be the best way to find out and fix it. I don't know when the right timing is though to perform this biopsy, as this is the 3rd day of my AF after my BFN and I am planning on having my FET in May when I get my next AF...not sure at what phase of the cycle the FET is performed and how the EMB will move my FET further. I don't know. Do you? Anyone? I am going to call my RE tomorrow and make an appt to descuss this. Thank you for carring for me and for your advice. I appreciate this :D

LYD- I am very sorry about your ectopic my friend :( This is crushing :( I wish I could do something to comfort you!...Hang in there and be strong! It will happen! ((hugs))

Tammy- Oh Tammy! :( These are such bad news :( but you shouldn't take it as a stop sign from God. No dear! Don't this let you down. Don't stop trying! You will have your full cycle and your BFP! Can you try and pay this from your pocket? make a loan or something? Don't know your financial situation I am just throwing ideas here...If I was taking as a sign the fact that not even one insurance company in my country covers IVF I would have never tried IVF. And the government gives free only the stim meds and only for the first 3 cycles. I am waiting to start my 6th IVF with FET for the first time and me and my DH have paid all cycles from our pockets. That's why I am telling you hang in there and fight for it!...not that you don't just don't loose your faith. My thoughts are with you. Don't forget that there are always worse situations than the one we are at the moment! I will be praying for you honey! ((hugs))

Good night ladies and may God bless us all with babies soon!!

Hello all,

New to the group and about to have my 1st Beta after our ET on 3/23/11. So excited and scared at the same time. I am 37 and transferred a total of 3 eggs that looked good on day 5.

Sending positive thoughts many ways to all of you!

Hi Anton - thanks very much for your good wishes! and i am so sorry about your BFN! you are so strong though - i admire your strength and perseverance. You will get your BFP this FET round! have you ever done fet before? for some people frozens are the only ones that work - because the uterus environment is so much better during the frozen cycle.

Hi Tammy - i am so sorry about your insurance cap! Urghh.... and now after you've finally figured out your estrogen issue. Do you think you might be able to take a loan for one more cycle out of pocket? maybe the doc's office will cut you a deal? since it was partially their fault about the no estrogen support?

Sweet Tammy,
Now come on tell me this isn't how you REALLY TRULY feel, because I really don't think this in the end of road for you. I mean look at all of us out here, I guarantee you maybe 10% have insurance in the first place that covers- if we're lucky- the meds...I don't know of any U.S state that covers infertilty treatment. Every single doctor appt we've been to in the last 3 years has been out of pocket, but we somehow get by. I believe if there is a will, there is a way! I know it may mean some lean months but IF this is what you really want you cannot give up on it. Talk with your doctor to see if he might offer you a discount on your next cycle since this was related to the estrogen. Another idea I wanted to throw out there... My SIL and brother REFI, borrowed against their home to pay for their IVF, but they went through the IVF attain program (I mentioned it on here yesterday). WIth the IVF Attain Program they got 3 tries for around $16,000 or 70% of their money back if they didn't bring home a baby. So I know there are programs out there like this, but I don't want you to loose hope and give up on this! xxx Sunshine1576

Anton - pm Lou or Leora, they both had something done, I know it is not techinically a D&C but it is a mild scraping of the uterus, they will know more but it might help your FET! Fingers crossed!

Tammy - so sorry about the insurance issue. Margi somehow had her lifetime benefit cap suspended so maybe you can ask her. It really is not fair that IVF is so expensive, we have spent almost $50,000 of money we don't have but of course there is no price for our miracles, I hope something great happens for you!
