Anton,

I did a research project for school on EMB and implantation. You'll want to have the EMB done this cycle between days 5-10. Then get AF then do the FET. The theory and the research shows that by traumatizing the endometrial lining, it stimulates the local healing response. This local healing response brings healthy cells and healing cells to the lining. Even though you'll shed the lining again, the healing cells stay and create a better envirnoment for implantation.

I had a polyp removed before my IVF and it didn't work for me, however the research showed that it doubled the chance of implantation. I'm going to ask if I can have a EMB done because we don't know why I'm not implanting either. I've never had a positive beta ever.

Good luck!

Tammy- so sorry about the insurance news adding insult to injury. I know its tough to stay positive, but don't let "signs" get you down. If this process is still wearing on you and you don't regain the excitement about the potential in a few days, then you can start thinking about throwing in the towel. Until then, let yourself feel this, deal with it, and decide what is next with a clear heart and mind. Hugs!

Thanks for the info on EMB and implantation indigo/anton. If I had read that when I was getting my shg today I would have had the Doc snip a little bit too. ;-)

Well folks- apparently mu uterus is beautiful and perfectly smooth. Also interesting is that despite supposedly having the crashed cycle, I have a big beautiful 18 mm follie that is about to release an egg any moment. This means I am due for AF in 2 weeks or so which is GREAT news because if that is the case I can transfer even sooner. So it looks like we are looking at the first week of May now. Scared to change my ticker again though because I don't want to scare AF away. What a crazy cycle! Glad it worked out that I could get the shg early and still be ready to go this next "real" cycle.

Part of me wanted to reach through that screen and grab the maturing egg. :-) More is more when it comes to this IVF gig!

Tammy, I'm so sorry about everything you're going through. IVF is such a roller coaster! I know you'll find a way to continue your journey. I'll be praying for you.

Blissful, Glad to hear that everything went well! :D

Anton, LYD, Indigo, and Greekchick, I'm so sorry that you have to join our board, but hopefully it will be a lucky board for all of us! I've been reading through the Winter and Feb/March boards for a while, and I was really hoping you would all have your BFPs!

I'm sure that I've left folks out, but I'm just getting used to posting! :|

AFM, Today is my last day of OCP, and then I go in Friday for SnS and labs. If all looks good I will start stims on April 10. Unfortunately that means that I have to miss a very good friend's wedding. He is getting married 8 hours away, and I will have to be at the clinic the day of the wedding. DH has to go on his own, and that's a pretty lengthy drive for him to make alone. I am still bleeding on the OCP, but my IVF nurse says that's okay. We're hoping for ER on 4/19 and ET on 4/24, but we'll see!
Trying to keep up some PMA...it's going to work!!! Still sporting the orange and green undies!

Somehow I missed a whole page of posts.

LYD10- So sorry for the ectopic! Sounds like the silver lining (if there can be such a thing with such a crappy experience) is that you will be trying at a better time with more down time. Don't blame yourself at all though...there is nothing you would have done that would cause the ectopic. Everything I have read is that it is entirely due to where they embies land when they are transferred, just like your RE says.

Anton- this is my second FET. Some clinics have different protocols, and mine likes to follow your natural cycle and does not use BCPs. I will start stimming (very small doses) shortly after AF. My RE does this to ensure a follie develops that will eventually become a corpus luteum and take over the production of hormones. He also believes that it stimulates the lining. Then I will begin taking estrace and progesterone around the same time as the fresh cycle. There is no suppression, but there is a trigger shot right around the time you would normally ovulate (CD12 - CD14 for me). Our RE has DH and I do a baby dance the night prior to transfer because he believes that also stimulates the lining (he does not recommend that in the fresh cycle because he doesn't want to risk damaging the highly stimulated ovaries). There is very little monitoring compared to the fresh cycle (no concern about OHSS). It is a much less stressful cycle! I think that has to account for at least some ladies find it works better for them.

Margi--- OMG!!! Congrats on your twins. That makes me so very happy for you! It also inspires me to have the RE go ahead and transfer all four of our waiting embies since you took the risk with 5. How are you feeling? How is DH???!!!

Tammy~ I am so sorry to hear about your ins! :( I don't know if you have ever thought of or even know about mini IVF. Total out of pocket for us (including everything) was $7,000. We have no fertility ins coverage. It worked for us on the first try and we got pregnant with twins! Sadly we lost the twins when I was 9wks due to a horrible experience here in one of the hospitals in their ER. But you might want to ask your RE about it. The only real difference is the amount of meds you take. Let me know if you want anymore info on it and I will give you my RE website and you can get some extra info.

Hoping this helps, sending you big (((HUGS))).

Hello Ladies hope everyone is doing well!

Akdelp - Glad to hear that today was a better day. Sounds like you are on your way to getting your BFP so stay POSITIVE! Image

Jenmink – WOW to the # of eggs and YAY for the THICK lining! I try to visualize a warm, cozy plush place for my embabies to snuggle up in when they return to me. It’s their first nursery! I will be doing PGD also. Can I ask why you are doing the PGD? With all those follies I'm sure you’ll get more than one GOLDEN EGG! Image

Mom4sure – Thanks…Keep dancing! Image

Noodlemama Image and good luck on Saturday. There are plenty of 1st time IVF stories out there... start googling!

Greekchick – I am so sorry for your BFN. Take some time to heal and hopefully you can come back and I can stalk you to your BFP. Image

Nicksgam – Glad the stimming is going well and with not much bruising. I bruise so easily that I often look like I have been in a fight and lost. Between the acupuncture, blood thinner and the stimming I am probably gonna end up being as purple as Barney. Image

Margi – I have been stalking you on the other board and am so excited about the TWINS! Congrat! I hope you have a pleasant and peaceful pregnancy. Image

Anton – So glad to have your PMA with us April BFPs! I need all the cheering I can get. The team orange actually started because someone when we started the board mentioned that orange is the color for fertility, so some of us decided that orange would be out color to promote spring BFPs. Later someone mentioned green also as a color for fertility and so many of us are finding ways to use orange and green to promote PMA for our cycles, It’s actually quite funny in my house because DH and I use TEAM ORANGE as code when we are discussing the cycle around my 4 year old. And DS just gets a kick out of seeing me excited over the color! Image

Heather – glad things are on track! Image

Deftonesmo – Gonna start dancing for AF now so that she can arrive on time! Image

LYD10 – SO sorry about the ectopic. Glad you are not in pain. May seems like a great month for a BFP and having the 2 birthdays close will make for great big celebrations. If (when) I get my BFP in April it will put my due date very close to my DS’s birthday also! Image

Tammy – I am so sorry about all of the set backs you are having. Just try to take each obstacle as it comes and don’t react to them as one huge obstacle that cannot be overcome. I happen to love Cracker Barrel and think that those ladies were the sign that you should be focusing on. Your destiny is already written you just have to live it out. Give your self time to look at your options more clearly after you have had time to process. We are here for you. Image

Britjete – Welcome … ]Image

Moorebaby – Thanks for keeping the list! Everyone is moving right along. This is gonna be a good month I can feel it! Image

Bliss – YAY for the beautiful uterus and don’t worry about that follie cause your little chickies are coming home soon! Image

Wishingandhoping – sorry you have to miss the wedding but it’s for such a great cause. This is your time! Keep up the PMA! Image

AFM – Need everyone to start dancing tonight because according to my calendar AF should be visiting tomorrow! I hope!

Blissful - thank you for your well wishes! yes i am trying to focus on the silver lining. my doc said that he recently read an article that found that FETs have better embryo implantation and thriving environments due to the absence of stims. so i am hoping that will work in my favor.

Lee - thank you for your well wishes. it looks like we are in the same age bracket. here is to us being pregnant on our 40th birthday!!

good luck everyone and lots of PMA to get through this process!

Hey you wonderful ladies :D

Really quick post before I dash off and get ready for my ET at midday! arrrgghhhhhh So excited, scared, nervous etc... I just hope the lining is thick enough this time!

I promise I'll catch up with everyone's post when I get back home later today :D So sorry for those BFN's out there :(

The unit rang and said out of the 5 IVF blastocysts 3 survived and 2 are partially at 5 day blastcyst stage but they have only left them for half an hour so hopefully within a few hours they'll reach the best they can. She said they are both suitable for transfer.

I soooooooooo want this to work!

I have a acupuncture session booked for later this afternoon. Then it's back home for rest and keep my abdomen nice and warm!

Catch up soon ladies

Tammy,
Please forgive me if I was out of line in my last post, sometimes I can be a bit obsessed about not letting anything get in the way in reaching our goals, but also know it's a personal decision that only you can make when the time is right. With this AND the baby shower, you certainly have alot on your plate right now. All we can do is take this one day at a time and pray that God will give us guidance and lead us in the right direction.

Vicky,
I was doing some reading about how to thicken the lining, and didn't realize progesterone supports that. Besides that all I could find was something about yams helping. yuck don't know if we could tolerate the yams, lol  Good luck ER today!

Wow this is a strong group of ladies, such a big group but hopefully I can come to know many of you through personals.
AFM: Getting ready for base-line this morning. Finished Ferama last night, and so glad! Follistim shots start 2nite. Will see how everything is growing! :D However the garden out back is doing very well...okra,corn,onions,green beans and carrots. Thinking about adding a spice garden soon...But couldn't of done all of this without sweet hubs. :) If you haven't started planting something yet I want to encourage you to-- gardening is the BEST therapy! God has tested us enough I believe and he is ready to send us our special baby! I want to believe that we qualify this time! :D All the best to you honey! :D

Rio- Thank you dear! Leorira, God bless her, PM me first with all the info from her experience with EMB :D Keep your fingers crossed auntie Rio! Image

Indigofire- Thank you so much for the info on EMB! I wish you only the best for your next step! ((hugs)) Image

Moorebaby- Thank you for adding me on the list :D Image

BlissfulCS- I am so glad everything is doing great with you! I wish you a BFP with this FET!! :D Thank you so much for all the info from your FET experience! This is great help! Thanks again! :D Image

Wishingandhoping- I wish you all the best in this cycle! A BFP is on the horizon for you! Image

LeeS- Don't worry! I got lots of PMA for everyone on this board! :D I will be cheering you on your BFP! that's for sure! :D ...thanks for the info on the orange/green team. I get it now :D Here's a little AF dance for you! Image

Lou- Hello friend! :D How's everything at your end? :D How's the baby doing, still kicking and dancing I suppose! :D you want to share your EMB experience too? ((hugs)) Image

AFM- I called my DH at the office this morning to let him know that I am going to book an appt with the RE for tthe WTF appt and next steps and he told me he already book one for Monday 12:30! :D That was so nice of him. He said that he is too anxious to go and get started and get some info on the FET (even though I have told him all the info you girls gave me) he needs to hear it from the RE himself 8) Ok, me too 8) He is more interested in hearing the WTF went wrong this time which again I have told him that the RE doesn't know what went wrong! From the moment he does the ET there is no way he can monitor the implantation or whatever is going on in there. This is what he told me, this is what I hear everytime. Ah! and also that " we must not forget the odds of getting a BFP. It can never be a success 100% unless you get that beta which gives you the golden numbers"...Anyways! I am anxious to suggest to my RE the EMB and get more details on my FET procedure and timings! :D I can't wait to start!...anything! EMB, FET, meds, needles anything! as long as Iam getting closer to that BFP! :D

Baby dust to us all! Image
