Anton, My DH is just like yours...scheduling appts with the RE and wanting to know exactly what went wrong. He doesn't like the uncertainty, but there's not much we can do! Thank you for all of your PMA. It is always helpful!

Hi everyone,

Well I am offically PUPO woohoo Apparently I'm technically 2 weeks pregnant with me having 2 blastocyst eggs transferred.

I've had two 5 day blastocyst embryo's transferred. One grade 2 and one grade 1. So one great egg and one not so great.

I've had a session of acupunture and I'm going for another one on Friday. I am spending the rest of my evening with my feet up on the sofa with 2 blankets around my abdomen and chilling out watching TV

So I'm now in the crazy 2 wk wait arrghhhhh

I'm currently off work on sick leave so I'll be trying to think of different things to keep me occupied and my mind of "am I... aren't I"

It's been well over a year since I last went through treatment so my minds gone a bit blank - how much exercise can I do? I don't mean going for a full work out in the gym, but I'll be ok taking the dog for walks etc..?

Sunshine - what are yams?! I wonder if us English have an alternative!

Vicky- Congrats on being PUPO!!! My RE puts me on strict bedrest for 48 hours, then light activity...no heavy lifting, etc. I would think a dog walk would be fine as long as they aren't big dogs that pull you around. Good luck!

Ahhhh sweet potatoes - I love them I think I'll be stocking up on them! Thank you x Bailey is only a small dog so no worry of him pulling haha I'm having a day of rest tomorrow and then I'll be out and about on the Friday - I'm having a birthday party for my sister at my house, but my mum won't let me do much! She's very protected! haha

Hi Anton! Yes, the baby is very active. Too small still for me to feel but on u/s is always moving around. I had my NT scan yesterday and thankfully it was normal. Still waiting on the blood work but my OB seemed confident things were good. What is an EMB experience? Sure, I'll share!

I'm lurking a bit to stalk my old cycle buddies (Ester this is your time!) and cheer on this whole board. Good luck everyone!

Lou, Good to hear from you and glad you'll over here just cheering us on! Spring IS new beginnings and so much will be blooming on our board too! Right now I'm just stimming along...just have to see how well they fertilize next week. hehe because you know this is symbolic of a beautiful pot of daylillies and everyday we're going to strive and keep on growing! I know I'm being silly, but dh says my mood is rubbing off on him and he's starting to feel optimistic too.

Vicki, YAY you're now PUPO! yes bring on the sweet potatoes. I personally LOVE sweet potato cassarole but when you add marshmallows to the top it's more like a dessert! "yum-o!" --Yes I have watched Rachel Ray, but Giada with "Everyday Italian" is my favorite! We'll have to pick up some sweet potatoes this week and maybe share some recipes along the way!

Wishingandhoping, You're too funny but did you know an ivy plant is VERY low maintenance. We got one for a wedding gift almost 12 years ago, maybe that's why she gave it to us, who knows it might even out-live us! Seriously I can go for weeks without watering it and not kill it, something to consider. Plus I love ivy, because it can be re-rooted and grown in water or soil. So easy!

Anton, I love fruit trees too! We have a plum and peach out back with a grape vine started along the fence. Will have to look into paradise birds, sounds very tropical which might do well here. We can grow mandavilla and hibiscus very well, so okra does well since it's in the family of hibiscus. The rosemary is doing very well, and is amazing in dishes! But a good snack is dried rosemary all crushed up with Philadelphia cream cheese. I mix it up together for an yummy dip-- great with Ritz crackers.

AFM: Baseline appointment went over good! Looking at 6 small follicles, but then there are 2 big follicles measuring 12mm, one on the L & R side of ovary! I'm happy about that since I never have much usually going on with the left ovary. But these measured exactly the same and I asked her what does this mean? She said possibly TWINS...I'm going to be daydreaming that all day. So she has me starting Follistim tonight, going for the next 5 days. IUI is looking at happening on Monday!

Sunshine- I am so glad everything is looking good with your follies! So Monday is the ER day! I am excited for you! If you are growing your follies with the same love as you do with your plans then this is IT for you! your embies will stick and grow to beautiful baby/ies that will see the light of day in 9 months! All the best to you dear!

Congrats Vicky on being PUPO!!!!!!

AFM- loved both adoption agencies we visited today but I am also feeling pretty great about the FET. The clinic called and gave me the green light to go in late April so I ordered my meds today. My mini-baby in a box is coming Monday! Can't believe I am about 2 weeks away from shooting up again.

Anton- I actually transferred on CD15 with my first FET (I checked today when they called because I couldn't remember and your asking about the cycle made me curious). Typically its CD14-16.

Sunshine- we just started gardening two summers ago but haven't tried anything edible yet. We are going to try that this year since we have started raw juicing and prefer home grown veggies. I may be leaning on you and Anton for support in that regard as well.

Faithful- I am in my kitchen while DH is cooking dinner doing the charleston with jazz hands singing "Shake, Rattle, and Roll." Its time to get this party started! Hope my little dance helps.

Well I accepted a sales position at Chico's Boutique 5 minutes ago. I love the store manager and asked me while we were interviewing if I was sure I didn't want the asst management position. I really wanted it, but also know I need to focus on these fertility appts and building our family should be my first priority. The job comes with base pay plus commission, and I'm going to really work hard to build a clientielle but been in this line of work before so know it's like second nature. I did apply for a bank position earlier this morning, so hopefully we can work around the schedule a little if I decide to take that job too. It's the credit union we currently bank at and that position just came open today. Will see!

Hello Ladies....

Its been a few weeks since my last post but that's due to me working nights in order to make my AM B/W & U/S appts during this time. I am currently on day 12 of my Gonal-F & Menopur cocktails and so far I have 10 follies that are between 12-16mm in size (i think "mm" is the right measurement ) :sigh:

My follies are taking their sweet time growing but my doc says "that's okay" he estimates my retrieval for this weekend but no later than Mon. He changed my dosages this Mon & there was a huge jump in growth today. So, I go back Friday for another "follie check" hopefully at that time I will get a definite RET date. I was a little disappointed that i hadn't reached full growth status today, I didn't take that as a good sign. When I was done with my exam, I saw another couple from my cycle in the waiting area, she was having her retrieval done today....needless to say, her news was bittersweet

this is my first IVF attempt and it has been an emotional roller coaster to say the least. Talk to you later guys...good luck to everyone!

***update*** went for bloods and ultrasound yesterday (Fri) and guess what guys, I now have 10 follies ready for harvest and a few close behind. My doc has scheduled my retrieval for Sunday morning April 10th. Finally! It looks like some light at the end of my gloomy tunnel. He also says my lining is "pretty" its about 9mm who have is my hope better than it was 2 days aho.

Tammy- Take the time you need to make your next steps decision. Only my BCP have been covered everything else for each of our cycles has been out of pocket. For this cycle because its our 4th fresh cycle, we get the IVF portion of the fee half off. Maybe your clinic offers something similar. They wont do any more after this cycle either. So itĺl be our last, unless we get some frosties.. I truely understand the strain financially and emotionally. Your in my prayers.

AFM- Going to try something new tomorrow, massage. Have to see what she has to say and maybe itĺl help. This cycle things need to be different, afterall insanity is doing the same over and over and expecting the different results. Hopefully weŕe switching things up enough.

Has anyone here done fertility acupuncture I am just curious about how it went and if you felt any different?

AFM Had my first acupuncture session on Tuesday. It was a bit sore, but not as sore as i expected. I go for another one tomorrow.
My first u/s it tomorrow morning. Please say a prayer for me.
