mom4sure and moorebaby -

sns results from today...in summary, not good.
E2 is 2450 (over 3000 is OHSS), 26 follies in the right, 25 in the left. 2 at 14, 2 at 13 and the rest are 10. They want at least three of them to be 18. My ovaries are touching!!! Going to keep me on 20 Luprolide, 150 Follistim, 1 ml Repronex for today and Sunday. Monday I go in for "monitoring". I asked them why two days of meds because it will clearly put me over and then my chances of a fresh transfer is out of the question. Nurse agreed and said she didn't know why they were doing two days because the follies grow fast but that I will at least get them retrieved and frozen. I proceeded to ask her the stats on implanting and keeping frozen...she said the rates "were lower than fresh, but at least we will have frozen". They gave me all the paperwork for OHSS and told me to start monitoring. I am very frustrated!!!!!   By God's grace I will somehow not over stim and can have a fresh...praying for this.
FET #1, #2 - M/C
FET #3 - @ 7 weeks
FET # 4 - Canceled. Hysoroscopy and DnC
FET# 5 - coming soon! November 2012 or so.

Okay dang, this is one busy group!!! I am finally better from ER and OHSS (yup, got it AGAIN) so I am here to cheer you all on and finally get to some personals!!!

Image

First off = I missed you guys!!! Image

Anton- You are the blinkie queen!! Glad to have a fellow blinky girl on the board. I have stalked you on other boards but I don't think we have cycled together yet! Glad your here, your positive energy is contagious!!! Looking forward to your progress in May on your FET!!! Buckets of baby dust to you my friend!! Image

Vicky-- congrats on being PUPO!!!! Hope those little embies are snuggling in nice and comfy in Momma!!! Image BTW-- the majority of women don't spot during implantation so don't worry there. The sore 'girls' are a good sign as is the cramping!

Blissful-- Isn't it great that we look forward to shooting up!? Image I am glad you made some progress with the adoption agency but I have a feeling this FET is going to be your golden ticket!!

Sunshine-congrats on the job!!! I am actually a VP at a Credit Union here in California so feel free to PM me if you need any interview tips. Credit Union's are great to work for! I have been at my current one for 17 years and it's def my forever job. Started as a PT teller when I was 21 and worked my way up to Senior Mgmt. Image

Blaqdymun-- Yeah for ER tomorrow!!!!!! Take it from somebody who just went through it. Get a ton of gaterade and start drinking it as soon as you feel okay to eat or drink. It will keep you from getting OHSS. Your going to do great tomorrow!!! Image

akdelp-- I felt really bloated about 6 days into Stims, how often are they monitoring you? I got a mild case of OHSS this time around. Thankfully I drank a TON of Gaterade and it kept it from getting worse.Image

Margi-- HOLY COW GIRLFRIEND-- TWINS!???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Congrats!!!!!! Oh this makes me so happy!!! Image Way to go momma!!!!!

Nwquiz- Welcome to the April/May board. This board is LUCKY!!! Your in the right place!! Image

Indigo-- Hope your feeling better Image After my BFN I had a lot of ups and downs from the hormones. It's such a bitter reminder, I am so sorry honey. I will def join your Facebook group once Lent is over (gave it up for Lent LOL). I think it's a disgrace that so many of us are forced into debt because insurance doesn't cover IF treatments like IVF. ]

xoHeatherox-- Holy cow on those follies!!!

CT_Michele-- How is the follie growning business going LOL 19 eggs is amazing!!! Image

mom4sure-- Thank you for the prayers, I appreciate it so MUCH!!!!! Image Great follie count and ER is almost here!!! Hope Cape Town is treating you good, I bet it's GORGEOUS!!!!

easley-- Not have the reaction to Progesterone-- are you rotating where you inject? I just had my 3rd injection tonight, those things SUCK!!

kbillsy-- Good luck with IUI! I just had a friend with one lead follicle and it turned into Tripletts!!!! She is now almost 12 weeks, she almost passed out when she saw 3 heartbeats LOL The Grand Canyon is gorgeous, glad you got a little vacation in before IUI. And YES, I feel like the Easter Bunny!!! LOL Image

wishingandhoping-- Congrats on starting Stims, that means it's getting so close!!!!
Image

moorebaby-- I hope that Lupron headache clears up soon! I had a few nasty one's on that vile stuff! Can't believe how sick you were feeling but maybe it was just a bug? Good luck on the SnS tomorrow, I bet there will be some good eggies cooking in there!!!! Image

LeeS-- Congrats on Stimming!! GROW FOLLIES GROW!!!

AFM-- well.... I got OHSS mild to moderate. I am still REALLY bloated and look like I am about 5-6 months pregnant. No fever or pain anymore so it's probably resolving itself. Got the Fert report on Friday.. of the 20 mature eggs we had 17 were fertilized and 2 were borderline. 1 was a no go with only 1 pro nucleous so they threw it out. Tomorrow is the day they will PGD my embies and I will also get an update Fert report. The cells will be taken via courier to Redwood City, CA (about 2 hours from me) where the Genetic company will check for my Golden EGG!!!! I am so sick to my stomach about the news! I have only about a 20% chance of having any normal embies in there because of my age-- 37. It's crazy to think that a 37 year old woman only has 20% good eggs left in her ovaries!? I guess they aren't kidding when they say the clock is tickin. Well anyway, Tomorrow I will get my ET time for Tuesday and then Tuesday morning they will call to say if there were any normal embies or if this cycle was a $30k BUST. I will be a freaking MESS if that happens. Please pray so hard for me ladies, I am asking anybody and everybody to pray for me. I know God hears our prayers and there are a lot going up there right now.

Well, I wish I had a better update from today. I still have lots of eggies, but RE says he might not be able to get the ones out of my left ovary (the one they have been having trouble seeing all week). There are atleast 8 good size follicles there, but something is in the way. He says maybe scar tissue from my c-section, could be fat tissue (b/c I am overwieght), could be bowel. He says he will try his best, but who knows.

He also said b/c of this situation that he might have me under lighter sedation during ER so I can help. What in the heck does that mean?! The past 2 times I have done ER I do not remember a thing, I was out like a light, and that's the way I want it! I am nervous, I think this is going to be a rough round of IVF. I hope it all turns out worth it in the end!

RE also says DH is "not going for TESE." Not quite sure why, but RE is pretty confident we will get what we need from the one vial we have frozen. That makes me nervous too. I just feel like we are going to start with much smaller numbers than we normally do with the egg situation for me and the one vial of sperm. And we all know this is a numbers game.

That being said, I had at least 10 follies on the right. All follies on the right and left measured between 12-18. ER is going to be wednesday the 13th (just like I knew it would be because my luck sucks!) That means ET will be the morning of my sister-in-laws baby shower. No bed rest for me that day. It also means I will take off wednesday and probably thursday for recovery (last time with a tough left ovary I was still in a lot of pain the day after). But I will probably have to go back to work for one measly day before April vacation...eeeeew. I guess I can hope my lower dose tonight and tomorrow (RE lowered dose to 225 follistim) might slow everything and maybe I will get pushed to thursday ER.

Thanks everyone for understanding my DH situation. Why are guys so bad at this stuff! B/C of his low sperm/testosterone, he has very low drive "in the bedroom." I have expressed to him many, many times that I completely understand, but as a woman I need him to show me he cares, and if it can't be that way then it needs to be other ways. Sometimes a girl just wants to feel special!

Ok, sleep and I will try and catch up on personals tomorrow! Big week coming up for everyone! Can't wait to see some bfp's around here!

Hi Ladies

As each of us are at various stages of our cycle, I would like to share this special prayer with you. I have prayed this prayer for you all. I ask that each one of us takes a moment to pray this prayer, so that each one of us prays for all of us. Each one prays for all. Thank you

Mother of Christ, you were graced by God with the privilege of bearing our Divine Savior. You experienced the joys and challenges of being a parent. Your life was blessed with seeing Jesus grow from infancy and childhood, into his adult years of teaching a ministry. With St. Joseph, you created a home for your family to love and share together. Please intercede before the God of all life, that my friends here may conceive a baby and raise a healthy child, with whom they can share the Lord's good gifts. May their children honour them and You by lives of virtue and caring for others. May their homes be holy and their families be blessed with health, happiness and abiding love. Amen

Moorebaby I am so sorry you are having a bad reaction to your meds. I am glad you're feeling better now. I would have probably done the same thing... Not telling my doc about the reaction in fear of getting cancelled. I almost didn't tell them that my AF was light  . But take care of yourself and if it gets worse, maybe you should mention it. Good luck with the SnS tomorrow.

Hi everyone! :D
Image

Greekchick- Welcome on board officialy! Glad you are back in the game filenada! :D Good for you! Move on is the right thing to do! I am already cheering for your BFP in your upcoming cycle! :D Image

nwquiz- I love spoiling my DH :D But I can't complain on him we spoil each other equaly :D besides, having dinner ready for him when he gets home and foot massage eachother while watching a movie is part of our daily routine. Its good to do "stuff" to each other it shows you care (both sides) and you keep that flame on! it feels good to give and not waiting for return and when it happens it means a lot more! Try it if you don't already. it helps a lot the relashionship. doing unexpected things to your partner you feel good and of course they feel good too

easley4- A Christmas baby for you sounds awesome! :D and painting your nails red is the first sign! Image

Vicky- No spotting is not a must have sign dear! Some women have and some they dont and the results is irrelevant! Don't look for signs dear it will drive you crazy! and you have crazyness in the 2ww! unfortunately there are BO fix signs in IVF. Hang in there and it will happen for you :D How was your sis bday. when is yours? I am sending yuou lots of baby dust!! Image

kbillsy- Glad you had an amazing time with DH :D I am crossing my fingers too for a miracle cycle for all of us! :D Image

Sunshine- I hope everything turns out well with your follies and all! :D Thank you for your kind words  ..about Labaroscopy, I already had one in Oct '09 and removed a small polypod. I was just wondering if they could see during that surgery if there was somethig wrong with my endo; Image

CTMichele- I am really sorry you are going through all these :( I wish things would be easier for you, for us, but if this is going to give you your BFP then you have to do it. Trust your RE! and have faith that everything will be ok! My prayers are with you dear! :D ...about your bday party...sometimes men don't see something even if you put it in front of their nose! I am sure your DH loves you, otherwise he wouldn't be going through IVF with you to have a baby! he choose you to be the mother of his children! doesn't that show a LOT! think about it! And maybe he doesn't think that he has to prove his love by throwing a party for you. Try and show him that you understand what he is going through (sperm/testosterone issues) and that you got his back on this one. Try and do spontanious stuff that will surprise him in a good way and slowly slowly he will get the message, that you care for him unconditionally and that will make him go the extra mile for you. I can feel you wanting attention and to be loved but it seems that sometimes we need to take that extra mile and fut ourselves in second place so that we win the first place in our DH's mind. Hey! When is your bday anyways! we will through you a party on this board! we could set up a time that we are all on line and wish you a happy birthday at the same time! wouldn't that be nice?! :D Image

Wishingandhoping- Congrats on starting stims! Bring on the meds alright! ...about my DH, I am a lucky woman to have him! Image

mom4sure- What a wonderfull pray my friend! You have moved me  Thank you so much for sharing it with us! I am definatelly using it! :D Your follies are looking good girl! I am sure everything will be fine and I will pray that you get that BFP! Image

Heather- Thank you for praying for getting my BFP! :D I am doing the same for you! WOWWWW!!!! 42 follies! Who are you! That is awesome! take extra good care of your self. I am sure sns and b/w today will be great! Image

Blagdymum- Good luck with ER today!! My thoughts are with you! :D Image

moorebaby- Thank you so much for your kind words! :D Sorry you had an awufull time with chills and all! I had the chills in my last cycle with Follistim. It has to be Follistim cause it was my first time taking it. Sorry you missed the early easter dinner but its all for a good cause! Next year you will be there with your little bunny! I am sure your sns will be great! :D Image

Lou- Awesome news my friend! I am also happy and relieved for your 1st trimester screen results! Excellent! Keep up the good work mama! Image

LeeS- Congrats on starting stims!!! :D Image

akdelp- I am sorry the results are not the ones you where hopping for but nothing is over for a fresh cycle and you are still in the game girl! And even if you miss your fresh cycle you are going to have your frosties and that is not bad news honey! Naby women respond better in FET ...personally I want to believe that I am one of them since I had 5 IVF's with fresh all BFN and now I am having my 6th IVF with FET in May and I am hoping for a BFP! Hang in there! its all good! Image

Jenmink- Thank you so much for your kind words dear! :D Love your blinklies!! I am sorry you got OHSS! Take extra care of your self and drink lots of gatorade!..It seems to help! Honey I am 37 too and no one so far told that I have only 20% chance of having normal embies. Are you sure about this? I never had an issue with the quality of my eggs at least no one told me that I did. I know 37 is not the same as 20 and is definatelly not at the pick time to get pregnant but hey honey! 37 is not that old! and besides this is the right age for us to get our BFP's! I am going to pray that everything is going to be perfect with your test and all and you will get your golden egg! :D btw, why are you doing PGD? I have asked my RE about doing this and he ws totaly against it (for our case at least) He said that besides this is a very excpensive procedure there is no need for us to go through it. But hey, this concerns our situation. I don't want to sound picky but what is the reason you are doing IVF? you dont have it on your signature and I was wondering...besides we are all here in this board for a reason...And again I am going to pray that this will be your winning cycle! Image

AFM- Friday night turned our to be a hit! DH was happy and so was I...Sunday today and the sun is shinning in my part of world!! 8) we are going for lunch at my parents and then at a park near by for a chillout nature walk. The weather is beautifull today and its a shame to stay in and not go out and enjoy it! Image

I hope everyone is having a great sunday! We are alive and life is good! Go outside and enjoy it!! :D

Baby dust to us all and may this week answer everybody's prayers! Image

UUUGGHHHH!!!! So just a quick update, my RE called me yesterday morning (he didn't get my email Friday due to being out) and after reading my email wanted to know where I was giving my Progesterone injections. I told him in my lower stomach, the same area I've been doing all of my injections. Well come to find out they are suppose to be going in my backside!!!! Well nobody told me that! :x So now I have a very large hard lump under my skin, LOTS of discomfort, and tons of swelling in my lower tummy that will proably last a couple of weeks. So they have now but me on 200mg 2x per day Progesterone vaginal inserts along with the Progesterone injection. My main concern was how this will effect my FET Monday. This is proably our last chance and I was trying SO hard to stay relaxed and in a PMA state of mind. :? But my RE and pharmacist both said it should be fine. Hope so!

On the up side the Progesterone injection didn't hurt at all last night! :D And my tush isn't even sore this morning! Sorry for venting and I thank ALL of you ladies for the wonderful feedback on my concerns! I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have this board!!!

More personals later, have a wonderful Sunday!!!

Good morning beautiful ladies!

Quick update on this morning's SnS...
I won't know about my b/w results until later today, but my follies are looking nice :P
-Left side: 1 at 15x12, 1 at 16x13, 1 at 13x8, 1 at 14x10, 1 at 16x14, & 4 at less than 10. So, it looks like the averages for the ones above 10 are 13.5, 14.5, 10.5, 12, & 15.

-Right side: 1 at 13x9, 1 at 15x11, 1 at 17x14, 1 at 16x15, 1 at 14x13, 1 at 12x9, & 3 at less than 10. So, it looks like the averages for the ones above 10 are 11, 13, 2 that are 15.5, 13.5, & 10.5.

-Endometrial thickness: 7.8

By the way, Thursday's estrogen levels were 274, since the nurse didn't specify when she left me a voicemail on Thursday. So, hopefully, today's numbers are even higher.

I'm feeling 100% better today....the RE doing my u/s today thinks it was more of a coincidence that I felt the way I did Friday & Saturday & not necessarily a reaction to the meds.

Wishingandhoping- Good luck on starting stims today!

Blaqdymun- Thinking about you today! Can't wait to hear how many eggies they got!

easley4- Oh you poor thing...that must have been PAINFUL...those are the bigger gage needles...UGH!!! I'm sure your FET will be okay & this won't affect it. For your 1st IVF, did you do the supposiories? I can't believe they didn't tell you!

anton- I bet DH was really happy  Sounds like a wonderful Sunday you have planned!

mom4sure- Can't wait to hear if your ER will be on Wednesday! Thanks for the prayer!

CT_Michele- Lighter sedation??? Ugh...I hope that you still will be comfortable & as pain-free as possible! Yes, while you are right that numbers do play a role in this, the quality is the more important & I know you will have that! That really stinks that your ET will be on Saturday. What time is the shower? Can you at least get a few hours of rest in?

JenMink55- So sorry about the OHSS, but I'm very glad it's getting better! I'm crossing everything for great results tomorrow! I know you must be really worried, but everything will be okay.

akdelp- Ugh, how frustrating! I'm really sorry your results weren't better! I'm praying that tomorrow's results will bring better news. In the meantime, please make sure you are keeping a close eye on OHSS.

Lou- Woohoo for the good 1st trimester screen results! You must be so relieved! I'm really trying to stay hopeful & your story is definitely helping the hope stay alive...thanks!

Rio- Thanks for your support! How are you doing?

Margi- Hey there twins mama!!! I'm so happy for you...you totally deserve this! Keep me updated!

My follistim was lowered from 225 to 75 tonight and to continue with menopur and ganerilex. Said trigger will be tomorrow and er on Wednesday. Fluids, fluids, fluids! Hope all is well with all of you! Sorry no time for personals, but I will later! Im zonked! Sending lots of baby dust for an awesome week for us all!!! ~~~Heather~~~

CT_Michele-- I had the same problem with my left ovary but they were able to get to it. The RE said the nurse had to push really hard on my stomach during ER so he could get a clear picture of the left ovary. Hopefully he is able to get something from there!! Your RE may put you under the same sedation I had. Basically your just sleeping and not totally under- I think it's called conscious sedation. However-- I woke up half way through and not because they wanted to me too and I felt a whole hell of a lot of pain! Hopefully if they do that to you they give you a strong pain killer. I would definitely ask what they plan on doing and make sure there is an IV of pain killers going in conjuction with the meds they use to sedate. Good luck honey, everything will be okay!!!

SD (Nicole) Thank you so much for your support and stalking me on this thread! I really hope my golden egg(s) are in this batch! Image I probably wont be sleeping tonight or tomorrow night, I am just so nervous about hearing that they are all bad. I can't believe you are already 11 weeks WOW!!!! I am so glad everything is going well for you honey!

mom4sure-- Thank you for that beautiful prayer-- I LOVE IT!!!! I said that one for everybody this morning Image I bet you are getting excited for ER on Wednesday! Cannot wait for the report on how that went. Many prayers and good thoughts coming your way.

Anton- Happy Sunday to you too!

To answer your questions: 1st my issues are tubal. I think I had that on my line at one point but it's gone LOL.. and for the PGD. We had two failed IVF cycles (2008 & 2010) so the RE thought it could be a chromosomal issue with the embies. If you look up statistics on woman 37-40 it says that (and it varies by reporting) 80% of the eggs produced are considered aneuploid eggs. That means that they have some sort of chromosomal abnormality. NOW.. we all know statistics are just that.. statistics. For one person that number could be WAY lower, and for some higher. I don't know if I really believe this either?? I just know I have produced some gorgeous embies in the past and none took. So with our new RE he suggested PGD just to make sure it wasn't egg quality. Your right it's really expensive-- this cycle the PGD cost me $6k. However I got accepted into a PGD study and they gave me a refund of $3700 so I got off pretty cheap. I have been tested for everything else and there isn't any reason I shouldn't be able to carry a baby or have one implant. So this is kinda like the last test... maybe all my eggies are rotten :( I personally think that us 37 year old women make gorgeous eggs and babies LOL!!! Image

easley-- OMG you poor thing!!! I cannot believe they didn't tell you the progesterone shots go intermuscular!!!! You know there have been a few important items my RE has forgotten to tell me. Sometimes I think they take for granted we know everything about IVF. I am glad the shot in your bum didn't hurt, for me they are killer!!! My RE suggested warming the bum with a hot wash cloth and then having DH put the syringe under his armpit to warm up the oil before injecting. It's helping him get it in better but it still hurts!! Image

moorebaby--- Congrats on those great numbers!!! Looks like your going to be laying eggs like the easter bunny!!! Join the club! LOL!!! Image

Heather-- Go buy a ton of gaterade.. .OMG momma you are going to pop with all those beautiful eggies!!!!! I cannot wait to hear about your ER and how many they got. Way to go!!!! Image

AFM-- waiting for the call from the clinic on day 3 Fert report. Normally they call me at 9 so I am freaking out that all my embies died and they are just too sad to call me :( I am such a pessimist! Well I did the DD calculator for IVF and my due date is December 28th, 2011... I am officially 2 weeks 3 days pregnant. How is that for PMA!!!!

Have a wonderful Sunday everybody!!!

Today has been a rather emotional day, woke up did the opk at 8:15 this morning and as I was getting ready for church, I text my RE's assistant letting her know ovulation test was negative and typed I'll see them in the morning...More than anything I was trying to follow through with everything. She texted me back telling me that she prefers me to text/call between the hours of 9am-9pm unless it is a dire emergency  I just thought she would be up, maybe getting ready for church too, but foolish me what do I know hard to say... I know she has a 6 year old and a 3 month old baby, probably has her hands full and would like a break from work over the weekends. But we're paying her BIG bucks to help us meet our goal and when she cuts me off like that-- it makes me feel like I don't have her support and I don't call/text her often. Maybe this is all hormonal, even felt edgy when I first woke up. Dh knows too since I'm been rather quiet today, but I've been somewhat clingy, like all I want him to do is just hold me. Tomorrow at 10:30 I go in for a sNs and she told me to go ahead and bring in my trigger shot. She said after the trigger shot, I should allow 24-48 hours before the IUI happens. :? I feel like I need a schedule as to when everything is going to happem since the first day of my new job is on Tuesday afternoon. It would be my luck to have to call my new boss, that would be just great. Until tomorrow there is nothing much I can do, tired of dwelling on this...So I'm now off to give my dogs a bath and enjoy some sunshine! 8) I'll be back this evening to check on all of you! :D Sunshine1576

Sunshine- I wouldn't worry about texting you RE's assistant, I'm assuming you texted her on her work phone. I turn my phone off when I don't want 2 be distrubed, and recieving a text at 815 is not unreasonable, it's not like it was 5 am.

Ester- I'm stil on BCP for another week. Going for Sns on the 18th and hopefully starting microdose protical 19th . Can hardly wait to start. Congrats on your numbers they sound really good.

Jen- 20% is 1/5 so you should have a min. of 3 excellent embies. Glad to hear that their all dividing nicely.

Lou- Glad you made it through your 1st trimester. Your definitly the "it only take one" example of hope for all of us. Thanks keeping us posted on your milestones.

Micele- During my massage last week, the MT worked on some scar tissue that i have jsut over my spleen from an operation I had when I was 3. Maybe a massage will help to move what ever is blocking your left ovary. Your numbers sound fantastic, I hope all goes well for you at ER. As 4 your birthday, if your DH drops the ball, start planning what you want for your 35th. Sometimes we really need to spell thing out, and that'll give you something to look forward to. For my 40th we used our RCI pts for 3 bd cabin and invited our friends 2 join us for the weekend. For DH's 40th we met our friends in Montreal for a long weekend. They weren't surprises, but they were memorable. Originally our plan for his 45 was a trip to Australia, but because of project B (IVF) its been postponed.

Anton- Glad to hear your DH enjoyed dinner. DH and I also give each other a foot rub while watching the late news, when we bought our new sofa we had to check to make sure we could comfortably do that. I agree it defenitly helps with the bonding, and it a relaxing way to end the day.

kbillsly- I love the Grand Canyon, hope to get there again soon. Did you go down to Flagstaff and Sedona as well?

AFM- Off for a walk, need to enjoy the sunshine before the rain. Baby dust to everyone!

LMAO, Sunshine!!! You crack me up! I would say you don't do the Follistim, but that's based on my IVF cycles. I know whenever I had triggered, I didn't do any other injections that night. I hope the RE's assistant calls you back ASAP!!! Have fun baby-dancing!!! :P
