Welcome Babybear, Brit1612, Madame X... and Summer will be here before we know it which is perfect for all the teachers on here. Let me tell you, my lab visits were so crazy when I was working full-time...Even after working there 2 years with him, I had a boss that wasn't cooperative and honestly he told me he thought my appointments were optional! It was stressful trying to make my appointments over my lunch hour. Whenever the clinic was running behind, I would call him from the clinic to tell him, but he said it was effecting the branch coverage and it wasn't fair to all the others, and I would get upset. I even tried to get my clinic to open earlier but there was no flexibility. At one point, I asked if I could step down to part-time, but he said there wasn't a spot for part-time....No longer working there now and I've focussed completely on finding something part-time. Last Friday I had an interview and think I might of found a possibility. I'm praying for the right decision. Husband thinks I should just do volunteer work to stay active, but I'm so used to helping him out with the bills and such at the same time.
Everyone, I really appreciate all the home-based business suggestions. Babybear, I like the jewerly business idea and live right across from a K-12 school, so it might work especially if I could donate some of the proceeds to a local charity. I LOVE community work, and know there is a need for that around here. For one event, called and got permission from my church to set up a trunk to collect canned goods for The Rescue Mission (homeless) and it was right around Thanksgiving, together we raised over 300 items. The possibilities are endless! (Sorry this is so long, but I really love blogging and writing journals!
