what do you mean turn around time? i had a c-section and had a fairly easy recovery. but had to wait 6 weeks before starting to exercise. i think v-birth is much quicker recovery - matter of days. my little guy was "sunny side up" and i stopped dilating at 9cm - 1 cm short of getting him out.
we are trying for #2 right now - we already have everything the crib, the toys, the clothes left over from the first one - i would love to get to use them again - hate to see them being used only once.
Sorry for being unclear... I mean how quickly can you have another IVF attempt after having a baby.
oh i see. well i wanted to breast feed for a while, so i ended up weaning at 8 months so i can have another ivf attempt and the actual transfer happened 11 months after the 1st delivery. if it would have worked the 2nd baby would have been born 20 months after the 1st one - and my doctor didnt have an issue with that.
ME 40, DH, 43

#2 FET DS born
#3 IVF ectopic
#4 FET BFN
#5 FET Chemical
#6 IVF, BFP at 8dpo, beta 215, started out with twins, one vanished at 6 weeks, EDD 9/4/12
SD trying- you're right I have thought about these issues, but am also worried about the month to month expenses. I took a pay cut when we had our little one, so I could have more time as a mom. The idea of paying for two kids daycare is a bit overwhelming, and we are not in the position for me to stay home. I guess I was just wondering if others have found themselves in similar situations? I am really wanting to try for a sibling, but want to be responsible. I know we are so blessed to have one.
thanks for all the input. These boards are great.

Most doctors recommend waiting for a year before becoming pregnant again no matter what the route of delivery was, so that your body has time to fully recover. It takes a lot out of a woman to not only conceive but carry a baby until delivery.
"Debt free" wouldn't that be nice! We were getting close for a while, then more IVF attempts and getting into a new house set us back quite a bit. Thanks, glad to know we are not the only ones out there. I would love to be able to stay home with our little guy, but I know it is not possible. Until this year I was a coach and a teacher, so I am grateful that I got to quit the coaching to spend some time with my little boy.
