She's here! She's here!!!!! AF is finally here!

Well... at least she's on her way. Very very faint spotting but there is no doubt. I can spot her coming a mile away. Yay!!! Of course the worse possible time for her to come when I need to schedule a u/s within 5 days is on a Friday night. But I'll take it. :-) I'll be shooting up before we know it and I have a feeling this is it!!!

Thanks everyone for all the advice and dancing.

Blissful,
All the AF dancing OR maybe baby dancing paid off... Crazy how we get excited about such things, but it's a new beginning and we should be excited! Glad you found a new clinic to try and find the best treatment. You are so right too about adoption, it's more of a personal decision that you will know when the time is right. My best friend is undergoing adoption, She has a 7 yr old daughter from her previous marriage when everything was fine and she was relatively young. But now she has ovulatory reserve, new husband (12 yrs her senior) won't consider IVF... I talked with her today she told me her mind is set on adoption and she is ready to move forward. She says if everything goes as well as they plan with the mother, they should have the baby by August. It's a big decision, but like you said it's inspiring to know there are babies out there and they need loving homes.

Bladymum and JenmInk,
Thank you for your sweet comments, sometimes even the sunshine can get lost behind the clouds. This week was rather rough, but these storms make us stronger in the end. JenMink, I'm glad you are moving forward and looking into the FET cycle! :D

Dallas,
Glad that the SnS is looking good...Tuesday is going to be a big day for both of us! Good luck with the ER, my friend!

Lee,
23 eggs, fertile mama- that is fabulous! Sounds like the Easter bunny has made his rounds at your house! Keep munching on those salty snacks!

emma3timelucky,
Welcome to the 2WW in Crazytown AND most certainly welcome to our board! You are in good company, the board never sleeps..while some may even sleepwalk to poas...

nwquiz,
Awww I know the feeling, my dh got excited over seeing the swimmers upclose under the scope, it was a big moment for him! IUIs are so much less stressful than IVFs to me, and with 8 follicles you will have a greater outcome! We only had 2, but with one on each side it might give us a good chance.

AFM: Tonight I was feeling light cramping for a short time and then had cm and noticed a few minutes later it was a light beige color, stringy-like. Praying it's only implantation spoting, last time we got pg this did happen but it was more pinkish. Too early to tell much..I have only 3 more days in crazytown thankfully!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Well, we will see how I make it through today. I am hosting my best friends baby shower today, and another close friend is in labor waiting to deliver her twin girls. I think a month ago I would curl up in a ball on days like today, but I really feel like this is my cycle! Feeling pretty good today so far.

Now just waiting on the call from my nurse telling me that my donor, who dh and I refer to as "Bunny", has a basket full of Easter Eggs for me!!! "Bunny" seems to be a much better name for her than "Donor".

Dallas- I love that you are calling your donor Bunny! So cute and very appropriate...hoping she brings you a lot of eggs!

AFM- I need a little direction. The first time I did IVF I was nowhere close to OHSS- only 8 eggs, estradiol less than 1000. This time I had 21 eggs and estradiol of 3100. I know those aren't crazy high numbers, but my RE is worried about potential OHSS. I've been having a lot of cramping and some nausea since ER on 4/21, but I can breathe just fine and haven't had any weight gain. My DH really wants me to call the RE, but I think a lot of people have cramping, that's why they give you Vicodin right?
I don't want a cancelled transfer, but I want to make sure I don't ignore potential OHSS. Thanks for your help!

Dallas,
I absolutely love your PMA, we know how tough throwing showers for others can be...even visiting them at the hospital. I've been there too and It can be rather emotional...I just wanted to say you are truly a good friend, and also know good things are certainly in store for you. I also know "Bunny" is going to make your Easter even more special this year!

I think you're ok. The cramping is normal. You're not having any issues w/ breathing or weight gain, so I think the cramping is just a normal side effect of the ER. My estradiol was 3,330 & I was fine. They gave me Vicodin as well for the cramps, which were pretty bad...I couldn't walk or bend over the next day. I hope you're good to go for ET on Tuesday. Definitely watch for symptoms if anything gets worse, but I think you'll be ok :-) Just get some rest!

Moorebaby (Ester),
You nailed it, send some morning sickness our way lol...Last night I almost drove dear husband out of bed crying, feeling some cramping and a tiny bit of spotting, instead he just held my hand and we together we prayed...Feeling pretty good today, no cramping going on, (so maybe it was something like apple cimnamon sauce I had last night that my tummy didn't like.)
:D Been working outside in the backyard planting roses around the gazebo trying to stay distracted, but not easy! Working later on this evening at the store and hoping for another good day in sales. Sold over 2 grand my second day, but the perk is even though I'm only working PT, the commission can really make up for my lack of hours there. Plus the flexibility allows for more doctor appointments, SO overall it's a better fit for what we're trying to achieve...

Okay ladies... I was wrong. AF is not officially here yet. That very very little bit of spotting turned into NOTHING so far. I am losing it!!! I was sure that AF was here. Looks like maybe that mid cycle bleeding I had a couple weeks ago was a period after all. I wonder if maybe the follicle that we saw in the ultrasound when I went in for my sonohysterogram was a cyst from the fresh cycle? If that is the case...I am going to have to wait until I get back from school for a late May, June cycle. Can't wait to talk to my RE on Monday.

Wishing and Hoping- I too think you are going to be just fine, but take heart...I've done a lot of research on FET. Turns out that success rates for FET and fresh cycles are about the same when adjusted for embryo selection. The reason most clinics have slightly lower FET success rates is that the pool of embies is slightly lower quality than the fresh because the clinics choose the best looking embies for the fresh cycle which automatically stacks the deck against success in a FET. Many studies have been used with women who had OHSS and had a cancelled transfer and they support that there is no difference in success rates when the pool of embies include the highest quality embies (none transferred in the fresh cycle). I found that very interesting and evidence that you have nothing to worry about. Frozen or fresh, your BFP is on the way! Take care of yourself and err on the side of caution. Baby dust!

The shower went off without a hitch! It was alot of fun, we all got to pass around the new babies that were in attendance today. Unfortunately one of the twin girls that my friend gave birth to did not make it. She died shortly after birth. They had kind of known it was a possibility, she had vactryl disease. But hard to prepare for even with knowing the chances.

AFM- "Bunny" got a great report today! Still showing 20 follicles. They want to see her again in the am. (thats the 3rd day in a row) These multiple visits made me nervous that something is not looking right. I asked the nurse and she assures me that she is looking absolutely fantastic. She said the RE is just really trying to give me the best possible eggs I can get and really taking her time. The plan is to see her again in the morning, trigger tomorrow, ER on TUESDAY!!!! ET will be either Friday, or....... hopefully SUNDAY if I can get a 5day. Just alot of wait, wait, wait...
