April/May Cycle Buddies!

Anton,
Everything has been great, reduced my stress level to almost zero since I changed jobs. More time with dh now. We went camping last night and had so much fun roasting marshmallows and hotdogs...Even took Blackjack and Vegas with us... Walked them around the campground and met several other vistiors who also had their 4-legged friends. Vegas went for an evening swim in the bay, while Blackjack peed on every tree in sight. At one point while we were walking them around they saw a rabbit and took off after it! I thought since this was a new place- Blackjack for sure would get lost. Turns out he was so tired he walked right back to us, probably his scent led him back lol. How is Happy doing? I am so glad you two found him and I know he loves his new family!

AFM: Things are really kicking off on the SummerBoard, and thinking sometime next week I'll start bcp for round 2. Will see!
If anyone wants to join us, come on over! The more the merrier, I am amazed by how much its grown already and made some really good buddies along the way!

hi ladies my doctor just called so i've got straight on here to tell you loverly ladies the news 11 of my eggs have fertilized and looking great he also said hes really happy with them...i have to go on monday to do the et the most difficult bit of ivf is the 2ww (and the realxing bit as its new to me hahaha), it drives me mad but im back at work next Friday so hopefully take my mind off it...

Sorry it took me so long to post. After the ER on Thursday they said 19 were retrevied of those 14 were mature and a possible of two more. I got the report yesterday and 9 fertilized. Kinda scary for me though. They always say they like 60-75% to fertilize and only 56% of mine did plus in January for my failed cycle I had 15 and 9 fertilzed then too and none took. I hope there is atleast one in there good... ONLY TAKES ONE! I am in alot of pain though. I opted to do the procedure awake but half way through they had to put me under... not that I even rememebred the first half. My right overy was playing hide and seek and dr was having a hard time getting eggs. SO I guess he poked alot because I hurt more than I did in January. Kinda depressed today and I do not honestly don't know why. 9 fertilized is good for a 39 year old and lining is like 13.8 so all is good I guess. I think this IVF is not for the faint of heart. I think my husband is getting on my nerves more this time. I love him to death but does he honestly know how much this is to do to just have a baby. Washing the dishes in the sink too hard for the person in the relationship that isnt needing to poke themselves in the butt with needles and take ALOT of med's. Ok done with the venting. I hope everyone is having a great day. I will send personal messages to everyone tomorrow. I feel like I am not in the zone to send them right now and I don't want to forget anyone. Each of your posts are inspiration to me.

Thanks for checking in on me. Y'all are the best. Things have just been busy here, which is nice as it keeps my mind occupied.

Monday is my next appointment. They will check my lining on Monday and I guess draw blood? I can't remember for sure. The tentative date for transfer is 5/30.

I'm not sure what determines when the transfer actually is. I'm guessing my lining????

I have been keeping a check on my blood pressure. My next appointment w/ that doctor is Tuesday. He has me monitoring it at home 3x a day and when I go back in they'll average all the numbers and make some decisions from there. Thus far, I tend to be on the high side of normal but nothing like what it reads in my RE's clinic or the regular doctor's for that matter. I guess I get so nervous in there.

I'll post again Monday after I know what my next step is.

I need to get to reading and catch up on everyone here.

Ester and Sunshine- I will be joining you both on the summer board for an FET at some point. Still recovering now, but I'm ready to jump back in when my body will let me. This process is just so frustrating and heartbreaking at times.

Hi Ester - its good to hear from you. i hope you are feeling better! let us know what you decide to do when you are ready.

i am doing ok, thanks for asking. i am on lupron and cant wait to start estrogen injections next wednesday and drop lupron to 5units, because this time around i have bad headaches on lupron. also my DS seems to be going through his terrible twos early - he refuses to eat and his favorite word is "no". that's all he likes to say "no", "No", "no". he used to be such a good eater - now its mac and cheese and that's it - if we are lucky! it can be hard on a mom when i see him not eat. even though he is healthy weight and all - but its still hard. he drinks a lot of formula and milk - which i am sure ny doctor is going to tell me - just take the formula away and he will eat. but i dont have the heart not to give him his milk/formula.

my work has gotten busy as well - i am about to transfer to a new department in june, so all in all, this approaching FET is kind of flying under the radar for me. i dont seem to be stressing too much over it. its just been such a long time coming that i sort of focused on other things. anyway - once estrogen starts it will go quickly - because it will only be two weeks before the transfer. assuming my lining cooperates. if everything goes as planned i will have bedrest during the work week - which is nice as i wont be tempted to lift DS and do other not allowed things.
i am kind of looking forward to bedrest to catch up on some movies and just get some time to myself.

Anton - cant wait for your BFP!
NancyB - wow your FET is coming up quick. excellent! i'll be sharing the 2ww with you.
Blissful - cant wait to hear the good 2nd beta. with such a strong 1st one you dont have much to worry about. good job!!
wishing - good job recovering from the miscarriage. its hard stuff! this process is a numbers game - a tough numbers game
and texas - i am sorry about the blues - its the drugs! dont worry - you have plenty of embryos for it to work out!

Hey moorebaby- thanks and glad to hear from you. We all appreciate you keeping up with the board and know this hasn't been easy on you. You are an amazing woman.

Greekchick- we didn't schedule my u/s because ET was on a Sunday and the staff wasn't there to do it. I keep forgetting! I will set it up Monday when we get our beta results back.

LYD- I am super excited about the strong beta, but I am still worried. I know you understand how it is. After 3 failed attempts it just seems too good to be true! I know it is...but I will feel much better on Monday. It helped to read your confident post though.

AFM- I woke up at 12:30 AM with bad cramps. It feels like the cramps were coming from my left ovary and my digestive system. There was also a little fluttering in my uterine area. Freaked me right out! Everything I read online said that cramps at this time are normal and are a sign that your corpus luteum is developing and your uterus is expanding. Still, it was no fun! I am really trying to chill. Went for a hike today and then went to see Bridesmaids tonight. It was raunchy...but absolutely hilarious. If you are looking for some comic relief I highly recommend it.

Wishingandhoping- thank you so much. Glad to see you are planning on getting right back into it. You should, because your BFP is on its way. Hang in there hon.

Texasgirl- every cycle is different and those are great results! Ouch on the ER...sounded painful but productive. Your embies will be coming home to you before you know it!

Hi everybody

Sorry, I've been just sooooo slack on this board and have only posted once.

Greekchick - great to see your name here and that your back on the IVF road again. Good luck with your ER. We only get lightly sedated for embryo retrieval at my clinic but you go into a little cubicle after the retrieval and get a cuppa and some bickiew and kick back and relax for about an hour. After ET we are encouraged to move around as soon as possible but usually rest up for about 20mins afterwards.

Blissful - I found that I had cramping and a gurgly guts during early pregnancy so try not to worry about it. Our bodies have a whole lot of adjusting to do in those first few weeks.

Texas - I'm a complete ***** at the moment too tore strips off DH on Friday night when he drank a bottle of wine. WTF - I'm busting my ass trying to do everything right and he can't stop drinking a week before sperm collection. Grrrr! What is with that?

Wishing and Hoping - well done for getting back on the horse! It's not an easy ride but it'll be worth it in the end I'm sure.

Sunshine - will this board be ending soon? I'm fairly new to it so not sure what the story is. Your camping trip sounds great. I now my little dog would have a ball camping for the weekend.

AFM - had a bloodtest last Tues and my ovaries have down regulated. I started FSH injections last Weds and have a bloodtest on Tues. ER should be sometime the week beginning 30 May. Can't wait. Not that I'm looking forward to the dreaded 2ww but hey, it's all a step closer to that BFP that I sooooo want.

hi again i read so much about bed rest after the et im goin try and stay put for 3days at least after et which is tomorrow whoop whoop!!1st time i had 4 put back this time im going to have 4 again if he lets me gota a feeling hes going say 3 tho this 2nd time around.....i will do personals later ladies sending u alll lots of very sticky baby dust!!!xxx
