Hi Ladies! hope you all are doing well!

BlissfulCS: As far as running goes, I didn't run for 7 weeks (all through IVF cycle) and then finally decided to start running every other day. I ran through my entire pregnancy with my son (also IVF baby)...I actually ran a lot. 20-60 miles up until 35 weeks when they made me stop. My son was totally healthy (and still is). I didn't run as much the first trimester, maybe 20-30 miles, but then uped my mileage in the 2nd & 3rd trimester. It would vary a lot week to week depending on how I felt. Some weeks I was just too pooped to run. Other weeks I would have weird ligament pains and other weeks I felt totally normal! I am definitely more cautious this pregnancy b/c we had to go through so much to get here. But, I hope to be able to follow a similar running route if I make it out of the 1st trimester.

Red Riding Hood: we have the same due date!

I guess I finally feel ok to move on over to this board. I am 7w3d preggers with twins. This was our 2nd IVF so I wanted to wait until after my 2nd u/s and being released to my OB before transitioning over. Our due date is 1/18, but we are anticipating delivering before Christmas, about 4 wks early. Glad to see everyone's success. Right now Zofran is my friend, I have had terrible m/s "all day sickness" since 5 wks. But at least that means they are progressing!

Yay Dallas!!!! So glad to be on the other side with you. I know what you mean on feeling like you have to wait to join this board. I was a little nervous doing it before I saw a HB, but I did it anyway! You are very preggo mama and you are right where you belong.

Redridinghood- I wondered where you have been. Welcome! Love the AA comment. You have quite the sense of humor.

Kat and DC- I've been telling one of the other gals who used to be a runner that we should do a marathon the summer a year after our deliveries to lose the baby weight. Maybe we can start a group after we deliver on the Parents After Treatment board. :D I know I am not going to run through my pregnancy. I think I will just walk and do yoga. I can feel my abdomen move when I run and it freaks me out. I am sure it would probably be good for the baby, but I don't know that I can mentally adapt. I might try an easy mile or two after the first trimester. As far as "other activities"...My RE told us we can go back to being "close" in a week. That too is freaking me out! I am also going to wait until at least after the first trimester for that. I have strong contractions when I ...um...you know...and it scares the heck out of me. Poor DH. The sacrificing for this little one continues. Lol.

RE updated my due date to 1/27 which put me back a day on my ticker. Weird... I could have sworn I was 6 weeks and 1 day and not just 6 weeks. I feel like I was robbed! This early I think we celebrate every single day. At least I do!

So isn't hearing and seeing the HB the most amazing thing? I mean he/she is so little and its there just beating away. DH and I were talking about today being a little like our first marathon. Your emotions are so high before the start (in the AM before the scan) and then you run the race (hear the HB) and when you finish you are left exhausted and with this feeling that you can't believe you just accomplished what you did. I swear this is the most exhausting and happiest day of my life.

xoxo,

Alisa

Alisa: So glad you heard a strong heartbeat!

Qita: I read your message on the other forum and I am so sad :( I'm so sorry for your loss :( :(

Dallas: your m/s just means your hormones are taking care of your little beans! hang in there, mama! :D

AFM: my u/s isn't until the 17th which seems soooooooooooooo far away . . . feeling pretty tired and hungry and I have to run to the bathroom all the time . . . I read when you get pregnant for a second time, your symptoms kick in a bit earlier . . . are you ladies feeling any symptoms yet?

Deftones- remind me again what your second beta level was? I'm curious so I can get in on the "is it twins or a singleton" debate. Lol. As far as symptoms, I have very little at all. Breasts are just a little tender. I fatigue easily and get a little dizzy occasionally. My sense of smell seems to be enhanced and I have only gotten slightly nauseas a couple of times, not bad enough to actually get sick. I get up to go to the bathroom several times a night, but I am also hydrating a lot to take care of my baby so I am sure that has a lot to do with it. I am beginning to wonder if I am going to luck out and miss the worst of the morning sickness. I sure hope so!

Oh- and I swear I am already showing a little bit! I have put on a few pounds since I stopped running, but am still pretty slender, but I have this bump which I thought was bloating. The only thing is that is hasn't gone away despite lowering my sodium intake and hydrating well.

Bliss: My first beat was 240 on a friday . . . had to wait until tuesday for my 2nd beta (due to memorial day weekend) and it was 1060 . . . with DD my beta was 230 and 48 hours later it was 660 . . . but at the first u/s, there appeared to be an empty sac . . . so I either had twins and one stopped developing or it was a singleton all along . . . my numbers seem to be doubling okay and I thought if it were multiples, the beta should more than double . . . oh well . . . only time will tell . . .

With my DD, I didn't start m/s until week 9 . . . haven't felt nauseous yet, just the hunger and fatigue and increased bathroom running :D as much as I hated the m/s, it was still re-assuring because it meant the little bean was developing nicely . . . if I felt better, I got worried . . . it was a no-win situation :D :D

Bliss - Congrats! I'd kind of gine into hiding after my beta tests as I didnt want to jinx it until I heard the heartbeat (which was amazing and surreal at the same time). I felt really out of place since there wasn't a 2012 due date topic, but didn't quite fit in on the IVF board so I became a champion lurker in both places.

Dallas - Congrats on the twins! How are you feeling?

Deftones - Not really feeling many symptoms except extrene fatigue (I'm taking a nap after work almost daily), the occasional bout of nausea, and the weird smells and cravings. My bean is rejecting sugar, out of everything, the one thing that makes me sick is sugar. My DH just laughs at me.

AFM - we had a bit of a stressful week as we're having to switch OBs. I found out at my intake appointment at my clinic that my OB is switching clinics. Why didn't they tell me that before I went in? Since the only reason we stayed at the clinic was for her, we immediately called the fertility clinic and asked for recommendations. One of the clinics they recommended has an OB with excellent reviews, so we're hoping she works out. Its just disappointing as we'd been with the original OB all through my endometriosis history so it would've been nice to see this through with her. Here's to hoping the new one is just as good. Other than that, we're remodeling our basement bathroom and the tile is going in later this week. Yay for almost being done! Its only taken DH a year.... after that is fixtures and trim, finishing the hallway and putting in the carpet. Almost there!
Me= 32 Endo
DH= 30 Low and Morphology
TTC= 1 years
IVF #1= 1 beautiful blast transferred on 4/26, 1st Beta on 5/6 = 191 (BFP!), 2nd Beta on 5/8 = 492!

Red Riding- I know what you mean on lurking, I am a couple weeks behind you and also I felt weird starting a group or joining the other group. Sounds like you have a handy DH. Is the nursery next? Right now we are trying to decide between a remodel or a new Mommy car (my car is a 10 year old stick shift but its a cute, safe Audi).

We haven't picked an OB yet. I stopped seeing mine when I started fertility treatments and I was never in love with him anyway. Have to check with my crazy HMO too in order to see what the process is and what my options are. Ugh. Gotta love insurance companies.

Sorry if any of you are in insurance. If it makes you feel better I am in another industry people love to hate...banking. :-)

I feeling pretty good today. No Zofran taken, but have felt a little quesy a couple of times. I made my first OB appt, which is Wed. They said I will come Wed for labs and a complete physical, then come back to go over the labs and have a nurse visit, then on my 3rd visit I will finally get an u/s!!! I dont think I can wait that long! I wonder how long it will be between visits??????????

I don't have my first OB appointment until next Mon. I booked the appt online, so I don't know what is involved in the initial visit. Guess I will find out next week. I will be done with all of my meds tomorrow. So excited!!!

I have to go to a wedding on Sat, and when I tried on my dress I totally could see a bump. Looks like I will need to get out lots of accessories and hope any pictures I take with my friends are done sitting at the table :)
