Ryann - looking good! Stretch marks are just a mother's burden... yours aren't so bad at all. I've seen my own mother's stomach... and they say it's genetic. I'm worried about myself! But my mom says the four of us were worth giving up bikinis for!
Alisa (BlissCS) - congrats! Amazing! I'm so happy for your and your bean, with his/her little heartbeat!
Karen (scorpio) - over 4cm? That's great! I'm sure your little girl will stay baking another few weeks and be born perfectly healthy. Btw - July 20 is a fantastic birthday - it's my little brother's! Your daughter will be exactly 18 years younger than my littlest brother!
Amanda - glad you got to go home. I hope the contractions give you a break though - that sounds tough to relax. Enjoy your 'vacation' until the baby comes!
Karen (vancouver) - congrats on picking a name! We have to pick 2 and we are NO where close to figuring it out!
Ashley - hope the palipitations are better. For some reason, I can't see your picture...

I'm sure it's fabulous though! Time seems to be flying! Congrats on being halfway through!
Lou - We've been talking about baby stuff -- TOTALLY OVERWHELMING! We already have a double Snap'n'Go stroller that I bought used last time. I think we are going to go with the Baby Jogger City Mini Double. The one disadvantage is that the babies can't face you, they always face outwards, but I figure we'll use the carseats and snap'n'go for the beginning anyways. I've started looking at carseats -- I have NO idea what the differences are! I guess we'll just pick some.... I love the name Chloe!
Kat - you should also pick Chloe!

You guys don't live near each other - who cares if you have the same names!
Barbara - I can still see my feet if I lean over, but just standing straight, my feet have disappeared and I'm only 17 weeks! gah! Ask DH to check and make sure they are still there

I *love* the temporary tattoos - great idea!
Rio - flashing lights would be nice. I'm waaaay too early to deliver -so every cramp I get, I worry that it's PTL.... Of course, doctor says it's just regular stretching and could also be baby movements, but I wish I knew for sure it was NOT labor! Also, why are you looking for post-C-Section panties? Are you having a C-section?
AFM - nothing new to report! I feel like I'm getting huge... I know that a belly pic is overdue. Maybe I'll get dressed today and take one
I've been bored, so I've been watching movies. People recommended "Pregnant in America" and Ricki Lake's "The Business of Being Born" which made me really think. Of couse, those movies have an agenda, but still.... But things here in Israel are actually quite a bit different than in the USA. My doctor will NOT be there when I deliver. The hospitals are staffed with midwives and midwife-nurses. Doctors are only called when they are needed. Most women deliver without seeing a doctor after they are in labor. Of course, I'll probably be a special case, since twins are always more complicated. We'll see closer to the end if I'll need a C-section or can 'attempt' a vaginal delivery (which will be done in an OR, in case Baby B needs an emergency C-section). Not sure if my doctor will do the C-section, or just the OB surgeon in the hospital. We'll see. Apparently, the whole system here is different than in America, probably because we have a national health care system and hospitals don't make any money on L&D, and lawsuits are extremely rare here ( and doctors usually win).
I'm still really worried that the bleeding last week was a really bad sign. My OB said to come for another cervical check and appt 'in two weeks', so in another week and a half at 19w2d. That seems a little far away. I think that if I have any more bleeding or any really bad cramping, I'll go in for another check.
Another Jewish holiday this week - Shavuot - when we commemorate the giving of the Torah at Mt Sinai. Just a one day holiday -- with TONS of good food! Hopefully, I'll have an appetite!
