Amanda - you really should check out IKEA for baby/children's stuff. Specifically 'baby' or 'nursery' they don't have so much, but they have really really cute stuff for older children too. They have some really nice toys and dolls and really cute furniture (I want to redecorate MY room with the princess theme!) -- Full term tomorrow! Woohoo! You made it mama!

Margi - From what I've been told, we are going to want the babies in our room for the first 1-3 months, but after that, we are really going to want to move them into their own room. So if the crib/basinnet doesn't match our room, I don't care so much. You look great! And those 3D pics are precious. Good luck at your anatomy scan today! (Can't believe I still have to wait another 2weeks!)

Blair - I've heard a lot of people say that Dr. Luke's book "When you are exepcting twins, triplets or quads" has some really inaccessible weight gain goals. Of course, everyone wants those 7lbs babies, but not everyone can gain all that weight. You can gain that much and more and still have low birthweight babies - or gain not as much and have perfectly healthy babies. Try not to worry so much about Dr Luke's recommendation. Mention to your doctor that you've read the book (s/he is probably well aware of it) and you are concerned about your weight gain. Your doctor will tell you if Dr Luke's recommendations are reasonable for YOU.

Rio - having a name that works in English AND another language is a concern for us. We plan on raising these kids here, so their names have to be appropriate in Hebrew, but we are American and so are both sets of grandparents-to-be. These kids will probably make lots of trips back and forth - I want their names to be usable in English too! (One really popular girl's name here is "Moron" pronounced "Moh-rohn" -- but I can't have a kid named "Moron"!) ----- as for sex, I've been on and off pelvic rest - so we really haven't done much. Now I'm all cleared, but we are getting right to the point where we lost our last twins and I'm freaking out. Also, for some reason (either nerves/emotions or hormones), I'm not enjoying it at all -- and I usually enjoy more than once, if you catch my drift  . When I can't get into it, DH feels really self-concious that HE is doing something wrong. Also, the belly makes things more complicated too. You are definitely not alone! Talk to your husband, I'm sure he'll understand.

Ryann - apparently my mother's urge to get a good deal is stronger than her desire to wait to buy baby stuff! This is the stuff of classic "Jewish guilt"! :D Sorry that bedrest is being such a pain. Especially in the summer, when so much fun stuff is going on - and nothing is on TV - and everything feels stuff inside. You are looking great - and that nephew is adorable ! How fun to have cousins so close in age. You live close to your sister, right? So all 3 kids will grow up together!

Karen - 34 weeks is great - but hopefully you'll see that 38-week date too!

Ashley - wow! That move happened fast! Personally, I would skip the tights. It's gotta be HOT in California - and you can still show off some leg while pregnant! Have fun at the baby shower! As for OB appts, my doctor evaluates me everytime and schedules the next appt based on how I'm doing. I saw him every 2 weeks since 14 weeks - but now I'm going from 19 to 23 with no appts. When things are good, every 4 weeks is normal until later on.

Lou - nothing to report is great! Means things are normal and good! Congrats on reaching 24 weeks in a few days. That's a huge milestone!

Anna - yay! holding steady is even more important than length at this point! Sorry that it's going to be a long boring summer of rest, but baby Paul will be here before Autumn starts!

Kat- kids out of school already? This is only the second year that I've NOT been on a school schedule (finished my MA 2 years ago) It's so weird when no one has summer vacation - June July and August all blend together! Have fun with your daughter! Spend lots of time in the pool!

PAGE 100!

AFM - exciting 20 week milestone yesterday. Of course I'm holding my breath until at least 24. I'm getting soooo nervous because I'm so close to when things when wrong last time.... really hoping things are different now!

I went to the pharmacy and bought OTC meds for heartburn, constipation and hemorrhoids.... I feel so old and pathetic! :D Maybe I can pretend I'm buying them for my grandmother or something!

Just checking in... Still no baby!

Good news though, my cervix has started to thin and dilate. I'm also getting a little show.

My induction date is the 28th unless I go into labor sooner which my OB said is likely. She offered me the option to induce sooner if I wanted to but I declined because my parents are coming to town on the 28th (it was soooooooo tempting though).

We're so excited! In one week or less, we'll be parents!

Happy- I cant believe still no Brooke. I was really hoping when i checked she would have made her appearance. Its exciting that your parents will be in town soon and you will be parents in a week or less!!! Cant wait until shes here.

Leora- I think when I go back next week im going to mention Dr Lukes book and ask why her weight expectations are so different from what Ive been told. I just want healthy babies so Ill do whatever is best...as long as I know what that is. Congrats on 20 wks!! Big milestone and worth celebrating. These boys will be coming home in a few months so stay positive!!

Anna- Glad that the Procardia is working and your cervix is holding out. Keep Paul in there a few more weeks and then he can make his debut.

Amanda- Glad that your apt went great. Im sure most of the 3.4 lbs is water weight. So exciting that you have your last prenatal visit next wk and will see that baby no later than 7/7!!! Hopefully time flies for you over the next 2 weeks.

Rio- We normally eat pretty healthy but since I got pregnant Ive just been eatting whatever I can tolerate- including processed foods that we usually dont keep in the house. Im hoping once the M/S goes away we can go back to a healthier diet but DH is all about me gaining the right amount of weight so Im sure hes going to encourage whatever I can eat. I will definitely be ordering one of the slings from diapers.com. I checked around and they arent available too many places but after watching the demo on how to wear it vs the Moby it looks sooooo much simpler. And the fact that its the only one Ive ever seen to hold 2 at once is even better.

Margi- I completely understand the whole name thing. We went to a cookout last wknd with my family and everyone was asking us if we had names picked out...well we do and have had the same names for 2+ yrs now but we arent telling anyone until they get here. I have always been wierd about the names and not wanting people to steal them- as bad as it sounds I have tons of pregnant people around me who could potentially take them- at work and friends. And I like the idea of people being surprised about the names. Not to mention when you tell ppl you have names picked out already they dont usually suggest any...and once the names are set in stone it doesnt matter what they think about them. I just get sick of the well i knew someone with that name in elementary school who was mean to me...etc stories. Anyway...cant wait to hear about the anatomy scan coming up.

Lou- I cant wait to see my stomach do the wave. Im sure its very reassuring that shes moving all the time and letting you know shes ok in there. I wish I had your energy to go play tennis and hit the gym...but my MD said walking was the most exercise I could do right now. Hope you get permission for the 3D/4D US soon.

Stephanie- Hope you are spending time with those 2 little boys. I cant wait to see pics of Brady and Jaxon.

AFM- Nothing new to report. Saw my mom last night and she said my stomach looked very big already....great compliment considering Im only 13-14 wks. No telling what she will say by the end. She said that my stomach hasnt stuck out this far since I was in diapers so thats why its so obvious. Have been taking less naps so maybe my energy levels are starting to come back. Im not going to lie though- I was ok with afternoon naps. Hope everyone is doing well.

Amanda: Between being so close to the end, plus the time of year, I bet it is water weight. But 7/7 is around the bend!!! Woohoo!!! Maribel will soon be in your arms.

Anna: Glad that your cervix is holding steady! Hope that you are doing ok otherwise as well.

Stephanie: Thinking about you, DH and the boys....can't wait to hear!!

Leora: You crack me up!! You? Feeling old? If I get one more doctor to ask me, “and these are your own eggs?” one more time I think I might slap them! And I am going to have to agree with you about the Dr. Luke’s book. There is a lot of helpful information in there, but the weight recommendations are not easily attainable. My OB continues to assure me that he has no concerns about my slower weight gain.

Barbara: Yea for some changes...Brooke will be here in less than a week. Yippee!! :D

Blair: The name thing is annoying--I made the mistake of telling my mom the boy name we are really liking and she just railed into it. :-( No more name sharing until babies are here! At that point, I don’t think anyone will have the audacity to criticize. (And I am going to get a K'tan as well!! Thanks Rio!)

AFM: Level II went GREAT today!! All organs, limbs, etc looking great on both little ones. Fluid levels are good and the membrane strong between them. The MFM doc wants me to come back in 4 weeks for ECG (?) for babies hearts because IVF has higher rate of heart problems? I thought that was debunked, but I am not going to argue about some extra looksies and information. They also confirmed that we indeed have Baby Boy and Baby Girl in there--no doubts at all! It was so cute to see them moving around and interacting with each other! I mean, kicking at each other, poking heads, etc. Really cute. As far as hematoma, it is still there, but definitely seems to be resolving. It is low by cervix and doesn’t seem to be “threatening” either placenta. Also, my cervix was a nice 5.8 so he said all in all he was very pleased. (Then he made the comment about my age, and these are really babies from your eggs? Why is it so impossible to believe I could have a healthy baby? Or two?! :? ) Anyway, we went and saw my OB afterwards and he said I can increase my activity for the next two weeks--as long as no bleeding--and then return. If all is well he will let me off bed rest either then, or more likely 2 weeks later! So--still may be a month away, but perhaps there is a light at the end of this bed rest tunnel! Of course DH would be happy with me at home the entire pregnancy (he is a big worry-wart) but we shall see! I am feeling really good after today’s appt. :D And half way there (almost)!!!

Happy Bunny - Glad you are starting to progress. Hang in there. It must be hard to be so close though

Margi - I am so glad yo got such a good report. Yay for SCH getting smaller and some increased activity level for you. Welcome to the boy/girl club!!! It is so nice, we can buy all the cute boy and girl clothes - no need to decide. Also thank you for the input on cord blood - I will see if my OB has any discounts or preferences on sites. I am glad you are feeling them move some. I finally felt kicks at the same time from each of them - sometimes it is hard to tell but this was definately both of them. One of my worries is how do you know they are both moving and not just the one...

Blissful - Glad to see things are progressing nicely. I know I love all the advice theses ladies have as well. They are amazing.

Lou - It is so nice that Chloe is letting you know she is ok with all her activity. It is reassuring. I hope things start to slow down at work for you. I as still trying to exercise regularly as well but some nights it is just hard. I always try and remind myself that I do feel better and soon I will get to the point that I can't.

Gina - you boys are adorable. So glad you are all finally at home. Thanks also for the info on the cord blood - I didn't realize either that there would be a set time line. Hopefully my twins stay put!

Sonya - Thanks for heartburn advice. Tums are working but I am starting to have to take more and more, which I don't like. I am so glad that DH is home. What a blessing - even a better job - that is great. You still have so much going on but atleast he is there to help more.

KarenVan - Hang in there - you are over halfway there!

Karen Scop - Sorry about your scare - Glad things are doing better now.

Hope - Have fun at your baby shower. I can believe the move is coming so quickly. Are you getting a little bit more used to the idea of being further away from home?

To have fun - great job of sticking to the GD diet. Sounds like you are very healthy. Good to hear that you can have some fruit - just in case I end up on it - Fruit is my favorite.

Leora - oh a fresh fruit market sounds wonderful. I can get some fruits but not many. Peaches will be coming in soon - they are soooo good. Glad your husband enjoyed the shopping as well - It is so sweet. And I love that your family is starting to buy things - I would not be able to wait till afterwards - esp with twins. I am so glad you ultrasound went well and all is looking good. I know you can't wait till 24 weeks but you are doing great, being very well taken care of and we will have it no other way - The boys will go home with you to use the cribs and stroller and...

Osi - Glad to hear all is well. Good luck with shopping - I find it so overwhelming.

Kat - Glad LE is growing well and all looks good.

Blair - How sweet are your LOs - love the pic. I'm so glad they are doing so good. My Dr said he was not worried about my weight gain - didn't even give me a range. So from the books I have read - I am shooting for 35-40 pounds. I am fairly on track - having gained 19# so far but I have not had any trouble eating the whole time. All of it is in my belly. I am going to try to post a picture tonight when I have more time.

Rio - you can update my picture with a boy and girl face. I love the name Giselle - It seems to fit well with your personality. Sorry you are feeling so bad but 34 weeks - YAY that is so good.

Klinger - love the swim suit pictures. YOu are looking great. Glad you had fun at the pool. I can't believe you have a due date too 7-7-11, what a great date.

Ryann - Hope you are not having BH. I understand how you feel about the cord blood but I would feel so awful if I didn't have it and I needed it. Esp with some of my family history. You continue to look so great. I can't believe there are twins in there. Hope bedrest is going well.

Anna Hope - Praying that you cervix stays in place and Paul gets plenty of time to grow. Love that your latest tests have been good.

Stephanie - Hope all went well and you are too busy holding your little ones - so jealous. Let us know when you get a chance but I totally understand.

Margi - What a great report from your anatomy scan!! Isn't is just amazing to see so much of the babies?? Glad they were able to confirm the genders too and really, really happy that the hematoma isn't looking so threatening anymore. Hopefully you'll be able to go on now with no more bleeding and enjoy some time off of bedrest!

Barbara - YAY for hitting 39 weeks and awesome news that your seeing some cervical changes! I can really relate to having a hard time NOT picking the earlier date for induction. Our other option would be to have Maribel next week at 38 weeks as long as an amnio showed mature lungs and believe me, it was soooo hard to say no to that option. But DH really wanted to give her as much time as she needed in there and I can't really argue with his logic. To know you're going to meet Brooke in a week or less though, how exciting!!

Blair - Glad your energy levels are coming back. That's definitely a good feeling. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum - I've reinstituted the afternoon nap now here at the end. :D

Leora - I'm so happy to see you've passed the 20 week mark, woo-hoo mama!! And that 24 week mark is not too far away. You'll be passing that in no time and moving on to your next goal. (With my non-existent cervix we took this pregnancy in small goals too.) And your pharmacy list cracked me up!

Annashope - WOO-HOO for your cervix staying as-is! That is great news and hopefully the Procardia/bedrest combo will keep on producing those awesome results. Great job!

Stephanie - I hope your enjoying every second with your little boys. We can't wait to see pictures and hear the birth story!

Margi - awesome results! I have a funny story, I went for my level II and the foreign doctor asked in front of DH "is this your ex?" I had a puzzled look and she asked again "Is this your ex?" so I looked at my Dh for help and he had a blank look on his face until we figured out through her thick accent she was asking us "ARE THESE YOUR EGGS?" oh my gosh! I thought she was asking if the baby was my ex's!!!!!!   yeay for the hematoma resolving! Did you get US pics?

Blair - yep any food right now is better than no food! For the short time I thought I was having twins I had my heart set on the Ktan. The Moby really rocks but it is a mile long and complicated but if you have the time and you truly want to feel super secure the Moby is great, and Baby bjorn totally rocks! About the name thing we are keeping it a secret too. I don't mind telling you girls but no one knows. I was really bummed when we told Skid what we were naming our son and she make a nasty face and went on and on how much she hated the name, I don't need reactions like this. So we are keeping it a secret which she already had a cow about.

Happy Bunny - good job baking your little girl!

Stephanie - can't wait to hear!!!!!!!!!!! and see pics of babes!

Leora I was LMAO with your comment about the Moron name! Having a name that works in both languages is a lot of work! You will bring those babies home but I totally understand you being nervous. Yeah the sex has no appeal to me right now. I have had some dreams in which I wake up with an O and it is painful :( I have talked to DH and he is very understanding, I just feel bad anyway. congrats on 20 weeks!

For the girls with GD, don't be alarmed if you see your bean after delivery for about 30 secs before they whisk him/her away. I was caught off guard and laid there in the recovery room all by myself while they took baby to check his glucose. DH went with him and I was in the delivery room sobbing that I had a baby and couldn't be with him, finally the nurse felt so bad for me she wheeled my bed to where he was. Kizmet from this board had the same thing happen but they warned her first. I just don't want anyone to get caught by surprise like I did!

NST went well today and now they want me 2x a week. Argh. I feel like my work schedule is around all my medical apts! My OB said everything measures fine and now when I hit 35 weeks, if I go into labor he will deliver the baby and not try to stop it. Still scheduled for the 26th and hoping to make it till then, contractions have slowed down a bunch so I am really hoping to make it!

Hey girls! Looks like things are starting to get really busy here!! How exciting :) Cant wait to see some sweet little baby pictures. I've been reading along, but things have been so busy, I don't have time to comment often. Well or my hands aren't free to comment is more like it. I am constantly attached to a breast pump. Lol.

Just wanted to let you all know, our Miss Marlo has FINALLY gained a whole pound since she was born 6.5 weeks ago. She is weighing in at 2lbs 12oz. Her birth weight was 1lb 11oz. She passed her second eye exam yesterday and seems to be doing well. She is doing lots of preemie stuff that is up and down and all over the place, but it's "normal" and she is strong and feisty. My DH has left for Australia as of Sunday, so I am on my own. :( I don't like for him to be gone and miss this time with Marlo while she is growing and changing so fast. His plan is to be home in 4-6 weeks, in hopes that Marlo will be able to come home around that point. We are keeping our fingers crossed on that. I put up some pictures from the weekend on my blog. Her blond hair is starting to look strawberry blonde now. So cute! She is a doll. Hoping to start trying to breast feed her next week....I pray that she takes to eating by mouth well. It's a huge milestone when these little guys do that. Anyway, I just thought I would say hi. I am running on fumes right now, the 6 week postpartum mark is when the exhaustion really hits...I am so there. Will keep chugging along though!

Good luck to Stephanie, Sonya, Barbara, and Amanda...Those babies will be here so soon. And so happy for you Margi and Blair and Leora...try not to worry about your weight gain too much. As long as you are getting your extra calories, it will eventually start to stick. My Peri told me that the amounts they used to say were way too much and it wasn't needed. I was told 25-35lbs is sufficient, which totally shocked me, but they insisted that was most ideal. The more you stress over it, the harder it seems to be to gain...at least that is what I found. Try to relax and enjoy it!

Talk to you all later!

Hi ladies,

Hope you and bump(s) are all well! :D

Sorry I haven't been on for a while, the tiredness really got a hold of me when I went back to work and I would just about manage to have dinner with DH and watch a bit of TV before my bed was calling me!!

We had our 12wk last week and we have a new EDD of 20th December 2011. Baby was measuring at 13wks 1 day. So I'm now 14wks 1day! :D Everything's going well. No morning sickness or any major symptoms apart from the tiredness! 6wks to wait unil our 20wk scan - we're being very good and strong and not finding out the sex of the baby!! Once we've had the 20wk scan its shopping time!! lol :D

I will try and catch up on past posts. Hope you're all well and looking after yourselves and bump :D

leorira- you crack me up girl with your list. dont worry old age wont catch up with you for a long time.
Margi- wonderful news today. and a bonus boy girl twin. Well at least the hematoma is going down and out of the way and hurray for a little more activity. soon you will be full time up and around.
Rio- that is so funny about the ex. lol i would have died of laughter after figuring out what he meant.
lou- go girl. i try going to the gym but i have no energy and the hunger is just crazy. i guess that was my trade of for luck of m/s. oh well all for a good cause.
Sweatpea- enjoy your daughter. so did you tell them you were expecting another baby?
Well afm nothing new to report. cant wait for my next appt hoping to get an ultrasound. i called the clinic to find out if i will have one and they told me its not routine unless the doc suspects something is wrong. they mainly do it at 20weeks which sucks big time.

Hi ladies,
Thank you all for the compliments, they are both doing so great!

Mellow: great to hear from you and yay for gaining a whole pound Marlo, you are an amazing little girl!

Margi: congrats on the boy/girl twins, how fun!

I wanted to give you all a great tip to get your babies to sleep longer once they are home. There is a swaddle blanket made by Summer, available at Toys R Us which is awesome! Get a few, in case they pee through. Be sure their arms are inside the blanket. Since I started using them the boys
are sleeping a solid 5 hours straight, eating then going right back to sleep for another 3-4 hours. It's so nice to actually sleep again!

Ok sorry if I miss someone.

Leora- So happy for oyu that your eached the 20 week mark. Soon you'll be in the second trimester :) LOL on the old lady comment. But it's so true I feel like that when I'm pregnant too. Your even moving slower too!!

Lou- So glad chloe keeps your mind at ease with lots of movement.

Gina- Your boys are so cute

Margi- Glad your scan went great and congrats on the boy/girl.

Blair- Don't you just love them honestly blunt Mom's;)

Happy Bunny- Are you hoping your baby waits for your parents to arrive? If you are that would be cool if the baby decided to come right after they arrived.

Annashope- So glad the procardia is working :)

Klinger- Glad everything is going well. July 7th is so close! Boy some of you ladeis pregnancy's are just flying by. At least to me. lol

Ryann-You look great. You have the cutest belly! And your nephew is so handsome.

AFM: Had my NT scan and everything looked good. The measurement at the back of the head looking for downs was 1.5 and I guess they like to see it under 3. So now we just wait for the blood work and should hear back in a week our risks. We counted all fingers and toes. Also we saw a Wee Wee;) It was pretty obvious. We have to wait till August 3rd to confirm but so far it's looking like a boy. Angela came and Chris came with me and Angela was so excited and was like aww he's soo cute. And she wanted a girl but she kept saying he and we go Anglea your calling it a boy and later in the US she showed us the Wee Wee. Funny how that happened. She got a picture of the baby and the hand it looks like the baby is waving. I'll try and scan a picture in tomorrow. The baby was sleeping at first but of course when she started pushing on my stomach he woke right up. We also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. 156 :) Oh and my obgyn says they will schedule my c-section at 20 weeks but asked us today what date we would like and I said it didn't matter and she picked December 12th. Not set in stone yet but looks like it will be that day or the next.

Hope everyone is doing well and hopefully I can try and catch up later with everyone else.
