Wishing - Thanks so much as a baby sister of three older brothers the only thing I wanted my whole life was a sister so we are thrilled now with that being said I would be equally as thrilled if it was wrong and turned out to be a boy....healthy is all we want. Happy the colace is working that is a tough part of being preggers but well worth it....

Dallas - So sorry you have a bummer tummy :( Sounds like your new work schedule will be a little less demanding on you and your babies.

Dreams - I had older brothers so for me having two girls makes me very happy.....with that being said if it turns out being a boy I love my brothers so I would be equally as thrilled! I think that whatever way you tell your family they will be thrilled...afterall you are pregnant and that in itself is AWESOME!

Bliss - Well there was some confusion at first when SS last period was so we were unsure of due date and this was our first ultrasound so we got a big surprise with that but yes baby is yes right on target. How would it be to not track your periods like a CIA agent! I have tracked my periods diligently for the last 5 years....for the first time in a long time I just don't care!!!!

LYD - I can hardly wait until Monday when you get a big fat BETA result!!!! This is it for you my dear so settle in and enjoy the ride. How is your tummy feeling any relief or still a little icky?

ttcnb - Thank you, I have had to give up on me a bit to become a Mum but I guess karma has a different plan for me and my family and at this point I am just enjoying the ride & thankful I have all the wonderful ladies on this board to live vicariously through

AFM - I am on my way to Vail Colorado to run a half marathon this weekend YIKES! Hope I make it alive! Wish me luck  I will be in touch...xoxo Kt

Thanks for the welcome all.

Blissful - There are 3 little ones in there (identical twins and a singleton). I am still trying to figure out how to get over the surprise :? I am due on 4/9/12. Thanks for adding me to the list.

Katie- Good luck on the half marathon and bring back the gold 8)

Lyd- Thanks for the TAC definition. This is definitely something I plan to chat with my peri about on Monday.

Wishing - are you feeling achy in the tummy now or just moving along as usual?

hello ladies -

katieb - wow a half marathon! good for you! have fun - colorado is such a beautiful place. are you from there? i visited boulder and edwards on different occasions. beautiful places!

a friend of mine is also training for a half marathon this winter - in disneyland. she is turning 45 - a good way to meet that milestone if you ask me.

ttcnb - its nice to hear of other working moms sharing their experiences. it made me feel a lot better hearing you say it. and i am not feeling as guilty when i let DH handle certain tasks which i would normally consider mom's domain i guess. i am trying to think of us as 50/50 partners - since this is what we are from the work perspective. and at the moment my DH has a much more flexible schedule than me - so he does shopping and errands.

bliss - how have you been? sounds like work has been keeping you pretty busy!

afm - my beta is on monday. i am glad i havent been bleeding although i dont know if i can take that as encouragement as this PIO stuff is pretty strong. have you guys ever bled on PIO? me not in the 3 cycles i've been on it.

i have an hpt burning a whole in my cupboard. but i dont want to spoil the weekend. say it comes back faint or negative - then i am having a miserable weekend. i might as well just wait till monday. maybe i'll take it on monday morning just to know what to expect. we'll see. i am inclined just to wait for the phone call. although i hate that feeling when your heart drops in your stomach if its the awful news as opposed to the good ones. i need a beta of >1000 at this point. last monday it was 140 - so 3.5 doublings later it should be ~1600. wow - that seems like such a big number. but i am in week 5 already. if its not in this range its probably not viable.

Hang in there Lyd, we are all hoping and rooting for you! I spotted quite a bit on the PIO on my 1st cycle (from which I have my DD). I developed some respiratory distress from it and had to switch to Endometrin. I remember clearly spotting before making the switch though.

ttcnb - congrats on the triplets! When is your next u/s?

katie - woohoo on team pink for now! So excited for you!!

Dreams - Congrats on graduating from your RE! I was really sad to leave my RE but I just love my OB, so the transition was really smooth.

Dallas - sorry to hear you have a bad virus. Hope it all clears up soon!

Wishing - Hope things are moving along for you

Katie - That is awesome that you are running a half marathon. DH used to do those until his doctor told him he had to stop due to bad knees. I know he really misses running. He wants to get one of those jogging strollers so he can do a little running with our little guy. I haven't run since high school gym class, :) but I have a feeling I should pick it back up if my two guys are going to be out jogging.

LYD - I never spotted on PIO. I just think it keeps AF away, not necessarily spotting. But I really don't know. Can't wait to hear your beta number on Mon! If you only have one hpt left, I would wait until Monday. Otherwise, you'll want to go out and buy more if you use one today and want to double check on Monday.

AFM - I can't believe I am over 20 weeks! We haven't been able to agree on a name yet. I have a feeling this naming process is going to take a long time. DH has kind of shot down my top two names, for silly reasons if you ask me. Matthew is my favorite at the moment, and he says we can't do that name because his mom's best friend has a son named that. DH's mom lives in Indiana 5 hours away, and I have seen that kid twice in the 10 years we have been together. I don't see that as a valid argument. The other name I like is Miles, but DH says that sounds like an old persons name. But I told him the new spiderman character in the comic book is named that!

Good morning and happy weekend all!

LYD10- Thanks for asking, I am doing GREAT. Last week I had a BIG presentation at our territory leaders monthly meeting. Its two levels above me and I was invited to talk about a project we have worked on in my market that has led to some uniquely good results. It was pretty stressful and a long distance away. Plus my boss's boss wanted face time with me to talk about my perspective on the company and my future while I was there. It went GREAT but was pretty intense. Glad its behind me now, because we are also in the middle of the budget and planning process for next year and I have several plans and reports due next week. And of course I have that paper due in September that I've been working on all summer. I'm actually taking Monday off to work on it. As for the PIO, I never bled at all. In fact it always took about 3 or 4 days to start after I went off it. I am so hopeful for you and will anxiously be waiting for the results. FYI- I am reading a great book about working mothers called "The Milk Memos." I strongly recommend it.

Katie- You are a fellow runner! I wanted to run through the pregnancy and just couldn't do it. I know its probably fine, but mentally I felt like it was too much bouncing/jarring for the LO. Let's see... Its 9 AM EST which means you should be toeing the line in an hour or two if you are starting early. Good luck! The half is my FAVORITE distance. DH and I have also done one full marathon and are planning to do one after the baby so we can both take off our baby weight. :-) He is gaining weight with me. Its mostly because I am the one who loves running...and he is the one that just comes along for the ride so he can eat whatever he wants. Without me, he is not too motivated to run.

Addy- 20 week! You are half way there. So hard to believe! Its going by so fast. I too am in the market for a jog stroller. Keep me posted on what you and DH purchase. I haven't even begun shopping. I like your names a lot, especially Miles. But unfortunately I do think you may have to find one you love equally. You may indeed have your work cut out for you, but it will be fun when you look back on it.

Wishing- I plan on having Mom and sisters there too. I was the labor coach for one of my sisters who is a single Mom and I feel like I just need her there for me too. Plus DH is a total wimp when it comes to even my regular OB appointments. Not sure I can count on him to keep his cool and stay conscious.

Dallas- are you feeling better? Sounds like Wishing could use a little dose of what you have and vice versa. ;-)

Dreams- congrats on graduation! Do you already have an OB picked out?

ttcnb- I like your perspective on being a working Mom. I too and am the primary breadwinner in the family and am already trying to think of it the way you do. What I will miss will be for them...and it will be worth it. I am sure I will feel guilty at times, but am already trying to condition myself to not feel guilty. The toughtest part for me is that I also do a lot of overnight travel. That will be so hard! But we will make it through our way. If you don't mind me asking, what do you do?

Dogzrule- Great to hear from you. How are you doing?

Blissful - Not doing so great atm because I am getting over a cold, and that, combined with the morning sickness and being so exhausted on both fronts, plus taking care of my 16 month old, very active toddler... Oh, and I'm a teacher and instructional coach... Ugh!!! Lol! I will survive though! The cold is on its way out. I'm actually thankful for the morning sickness as it is evidence that all is well. My first sono is finally almost here (Wednesday)!

Bliss - i got that "milk memos" book in my library queue already. looks very good! cant wait to read it. i am so glad we ve got a few working moms on here - definitely helps feeling better about the decision. relative to you guys - bliss and ttcnb - my job is actually fairly kid friendly. i am in corporate finance - so no travel for me and most days its 8 to 5. i mean the guys in my division - and they are mostly guys - stay much later and also login in the evenings to swap emails and stuff - but my boss is good - he is a family man and he understands that someone has to make the mac and cheese.
its fast paced and there is quite a bit of pressure - so that gets to me sometimes. i try no tot bring it home - but sometimes its hard to free my mind after particularly stressful days.
but i am getting better.

dogzrule - good for you - sounds like you are juggling quite a bit! sounds like your sono is at the end of week 7. you should see a nice heartbeat at that point!
i am 1 week behind you with my beta - so my sono (if i get that far) will probably be wed after next - 31st.

i wish i had morning sickness. nothing. my last pregnancy i think i started getting it a bit the following week. i am hoping the lack of morning sickness is not a bad sign. we'll see soon enough i guess.

Lyd, my morning sickness just started. I do not think it's a bad sign that you don't have it (yet). You're either lucky, or it's too early for it to hit you yet. As for working, I never second guessed being a working mom. It's who I am, and because I am a teacher, I was able to have the first four months off with Samantha. I'm one of those women who is a better mom because I work. And Samantha loves daycare. She goes to an in-home one near my work, and it's small, less than 8 kids, and she loves the kids and her caregiver.

yes - having a daycare you feel good about is key!!!! i feel great about mine as well. the lady is so experienced its fantastic. frankly as a first time mom i would want someone's advise anyway. so its good she is there to take the lead on alot of things. she was definitely of great help with his eating and potty training when that comes up she will probably be of great help as well. i do wish there were more kids there - there is only 2 of them there. but he does get super personal attention there. and on the days that the other boy is not there, she even take my DS to the park.

i was bad today - i had a glass of wine. i needed one. and it tasted so good.

bliss - i added that milk memos book to my library queue even without reading the description - because DS was messing with my computer. and now i read the description and i am really looking forward to it. i was lucky with pumping in that i have an office and i can just shut the door and even continue working on my computer while pumping. but i know many women are not nearly as lucky and have to take 20 min breaks to a special room. also for me we have like 6 fridges on each floor so the nearest fridge is never more than a few steps away. madela pump in style worked great for me. still have it - i hope to be lucky enough to use it again. i found for me the key to keeping up the supply was to pump 10 min extra after the milk stops coming. that increases your supply.

Lyd - I am glad that you feel a bit more secure in your decision to be a working mom. It's not for everyone but if you you and your DH decide that it's the best thing for the family then you just get a program that work for you guys and go with it. Remember nothing is in stone and everything can be tweaked to support changing environments. That the fun of it all  Looking forward to the great big number from the beta tomorrow.

Addy - Congratson the 20 wk milestone! I have my first US with my Peri tomorrow although I am still seeing the RE. I am so high risk we are all trying to take the most precautions and get started with the Peri as early as possible. I still will have another US with the RE on Wednesday.

Blissful - I work for a global technology company and I am a senior leader of product marketing, program management and channel marketing teams. The interesting thing is that I love my industry and the intellectual stimulation but the travel does wear on me at times. I had just kicked off a job search as I am just not happy with this company so I am struggling with the entire concept of making a move now knowing that I will be on bedrest in probably 10-12 weeks....UGH! I just have to figure it all out as there are pros and cons to moving now.

Hope you all are doing really well. I am still really uncomfortable but this seems like it will be the way of life for a bit :?:
