LYD10- That is GREAT. I agree with you...I don't know how it could have been better than 1600. I am very hopeful for you. Also, if you had a late bloomer I think Wishing is right, its not a sure thing that you will see a HB on Friday even if the pregnancy is perfectly fine. A girl I was away at school with this summer didn't see a HB at 7 weeks and she is now 24 weeks along with a perfectly healthy baby. I am PRAYING you see that little flicker, but just keep in mind you may have had a late start and that a sac and a fetal pole will be a good start.

I am so very happy for you. The worry will never end though. Today I felt so good I didn't feel pregnant and have listened to my LO on the doppler twice as a result. It gets better...but it never ends. Where you are right now though is unusually tough. But you are unusually strong!

Addy - Running with a stroller I actually find easier than without so it might be easier on his knees.....I run with the Bob Revolution....you can lock the wheel as well as make it swivel which makes it great for all types of terrain. I can't believe you are at 20 weeks already! How exciting! Ah the great name debate it is the hardest part of this whole road but it will come to you both and you both will be happy with it and BTW my cutest of all cute Nephews is name Matthew and I think it is a great name!!!! Oh and as far as team pink in concerned we are definitely cautious at this point since it was so early but the thought of two little girls makes me happy! :-)

Alisa - I love to run....I have definitely had my issues with it sore knees, ankles, hips etc....but I just keep on running since it makes me feel good. I don't think I will do a marathon but maybe a triathalon......I want to come visit you a boat ride to a restaurant on a dock....that sounds heavenly! Sorry about the skunk....yucky!

Dogzrule - I hope you are feeling better!!!! It's hard to be sick with a toddler but when you add being pregnant, teaching and instructional coach on top of it that is a lot....

Mora - Welcome home! Sounds like you had a nice time with you family....your hubby is a smart man number one to give you some girl bonding time and number two for saving up his days for when bambino comes because he will be so in love he won't want to go back to work. My DH described like xmas morning when you were kid but it happens every morning......

Nancy - It sounds like dehydration to me the uterus is super susceptible to dehydration during pregnancy and cause cramping because of it.

Lyd - First off me seven! And YAY! 1600 sounds like a good number to me doubling time is all that matters from what my RE always said. So I think you are good now I pray that you have all the right parts in the right places on Friday! I am so happy for you. Listen just take a deep breath and enjoy this pregnancy and try not to worry so much (I know easier said than done) but do try....your little snuggling bean needs a calm mommy. No I don't live in Colorado I live in Utah I used to live in Colorado (first year of College in Durango) but the University of Utah gave me a better scholarship offer in college (skiing) so I moved. I originally grew up in California. I was on my way to move back to Colorado since my whole family had moved there and decided to stay one more winter then I met my future husband while he was on vacation. Ahhhh and the rest is history as they like to say :-)

ttcnb - I am so sorry you are faced with such difficult decisions I didn't realize carrying triplets was so complicated but I guess it would be very hard on the body and if you had a issue in the past with DS it sounds like the cerclae may be the way to go but to be faced with a decision to reduce is a very difficult private decision to make. I pray you find the strength to make the right decision for you and your babies and family and know that I and we all are here to support you in whatever your decision may be.

AFM - I was off the grid this weekend just trying to focus on my half marathon on Sunday I did pretty well....ran 8 miles with no incidence then at mile 9 and a long downhill my knee (which I have never had problems with) began to really hurt so I had to walk.....I could only run up hills and flats had to walk all the downhills. I was bummed wanted to run the entire 13 but was proud I did 8 and ran as much as I could after that. Next time I will wear a brace or bring athletic tape so I could tape it. Vail is a beautiful place I don't spend much time there but it is very beautiful and the course was amazing thru a golf course & gorgeous neighborhoods. And to top the end off I got medaled & crownd by Ryan who was Trista's pick and now husband on the bachelorrete he is so nice & really cute in person. This was a female specific run in the run like a diva series. I am feeling pretty good not to sore!

As far as what my cravings or smells are....I am craving super yummy smelling snuggling newborn baby!!! Cannot wait! :-)

thank you guys so much again! your support means so much to me. you know i got home and i started fretting again of course. firstly - i cant believe i dont remember what my exact beta number was. in my head i rounded it up to 1600 as soon as i heard because i was so nervous and because that's what i needed. by the doc on the phone actually said either 1590 or 1490. i cant remember. i emailed him and called him in the evening (he happened to be on call tonight) and a nice man that he is he responded right away to both email and call - he said he didnt remember the exact number and will call me in the morning after he checks my chart again. so for some reason - that number thing bummed me out. although it doesnt really matter - whether its 1500 or 1600 - its either 50 or 48 hour doubling time. i guess 48 is better than 50 - at this point every little bit helps!

i also emailed my embryologist who is great and very experienced. she's been doing this for 20 years and we often correspond by email. she said that she's seen it go both ways with my numbers so far. she's seen healthy babies born from numbers like mine and also empty fetal sacs. so i guess friday is going to be a very important day for me. will it be empty or will it be full of the "right stuff" :) hopefully full of the most wonderful baby stuff :)

Katie - well done on your half marathon! wise of you to listen to your body and walk the rest of the way. this way you will get to run again and again later on once your knee rests up. Utah is gorgeous! we've driven through there on 2 different occasions stopping at all the national parks. i love zion, bryce and arches. and moab is so neat. there was a coffee shop there that sold the best coffee. i even tried ordering it online form them but they went out of business i believe :(

Bliss - thank you for the vote of confidence. yes - us ladies get a lot of practice being strong on here, dont we :)
you know what i crave as soon as those progesterone shots kick in - vinegar and more vinegar!!!! anything pickled. yesterday i was eating pickled beats - made them myself. anything doused in vinegar and olive oil i can eat by the bucket. sweets not so much actually.

dogzrule - thanks for sharing your beta number with me. those stories really do help. there is also Dtao on the ivf thread and do you remember CTMichelle? i cycled with her in 2009 - her DD was also born from high 20s i believe.
anyway - its really good to know that it can work out.

ttcnb - that is a tough decision you are facing. i dont know what i would do in your shoes. i also always thought i would be totally pragmatic and ok with reduction to a safer number - to optimize the outcome. but that's in theory - once you are dealing with actual heartbeats everything goes out the window. i am sure you'll make the right call! and by the way - although it is risky - but my doc said that he just had a woman deliver triplets! so it definitely can be done!! are you on teh tall side? for some reason i think it would be easier if you are taller - more vertical room...

i was looking back through my calendar two years ago and i realized that this week last time i was on bedrest. i had an SCH during my 6th week. so funny - every time its something different to worry about. i remember i started feeling nauseous towards the end of that week. but my betas were higher last time - so i may not feel nauseous towards the end of this week. and i also saw the heartbeat sometime during this week last time. except i wasnt worried about that - last time was all about that SCH.

well friday cant come soon enough.

thank you for everyone's support and i'll stop rambling now!!

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I am sure at the end of the day we will make the right decision for our family.

Katie- Great to hear you made it through the run well. You are smart enough to listen to your body and give and get as you need to. That's the action of an experienced runner. Also, glad that you had some eye candy at the end to present your medal

Lyd- Try to stay calm and occupy yourself with all other things to get to Friday and not be a basket case. Another night has already passed so it will be here before you know it. BTW - I am 5'9" and I hope I can provide vertical space but I already feel so full all the time.

As for food aversions, I basically have the nose of a dog and food in general is nauseating. As in my past pregnancy, I crave anything fruit not as much citrus as before but I am in love with fruit. I also really enjoy bottled coca cola with cane sugar. Protein is the enemy once again and this time I don't think I can get a way with it as the requirement is to get 175g of protein in per day. I will be turning to whey to help out.

LYD, 1593 is great!! Hope you get to see that little flicker on the screen this Friday, but if not, don't be discouraged; it may still be early esp since you had a late start. Let's start with baby steps and hope that you see a fetal pole and a sac. Good luck, my dear!

I don't really have aversions or cravings yet. Smells are a different story though. I especially can't stand the fish department of the grocery store. yuck!!!!!

Lyd- So glad to hear that your beta is looking good! Can't wait to hear about your ultrasound!

ttcnb- I know you have some tough decisions to make. It's hard to know what the "right" answer is. Whatever you decide, everyone on this board will be here to support you!

Bliss- I'm so sorry about the skunk! Yuck!!!

Katie- Good job this weekend! I really hate running, so I envy people that love it. It is such great exercise, but I just can't do it!

AFM- Food aversions and cravings- The smell of seafood or my dogs' breath is awful...makes me want to vomit. Also, I work in a clinic with a hair removal laser...the smell of burning hair....just thinking about it is awful! :? I am craving Mexican food and Cheetos. I know they are not the healthiest foods, but I also love grapes and strawberries!
My next ultrasound is tomorrow...excited but nervous!

Katie- I love your comment about craving the smell of super snuggly newborn baby. Too cute. Congrats on your run. Just finishing a half is an accomplishment. Coon on the Bachelor thing...

ttcnb- that is a lot of protein! Good luck with that... :D

LYD10- 1593 is pretty darn good mama!

Wishing- good luck tomorrow! Can't wait to hear that your beautiful little babies are doing just fine.

AOTW- My cravings are: peanut butter toast, peanut better candy, peanut butter ice cream. Anything peanut butter! :D Also grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, and potatoes. I can't get enough carbs and cheese. I don't care for the smell of coffee or onions. Leftovers of any kind make me want to toss my cookies. I also love my OJ every single morning. Can't get enough of it.

Is it friday yet? i just cannot wait.

i dont know guys - i just dont have a very good feeling about it. I am just not feeling pregnant at all. i am not nauseous, nothing. i dont have any stretching or ligament pain. i think the U/S will show a sac but no fetal pole. for some reason i just have this weird not good feeling. i am not feeling pregnant at all! i am not even craving anything in particular - and i dont have any food aversions. oy, yoy, yoy. i just want to fall asleep for 2 days and wake up and have it be friday already! there is too much waiting in this IVF business. wait and wait and wait some more.

and another annoying thing - i planned to go to a spin class at lunch today but my meetings got moved around so i couldnt. so now i have to try find an hour to go spin by myself in teh afternoon. not nearly as much fun. before my dearest DS i would spin 5 times a week. i was a total junky. no i cant spin on weekends because we are usually having fun with DS at various parks and playgrounds. and on weekdays - if i dont go the the 5:45am class - which is torture - i am not guaranteed to get it during the day. i am one of those people that need exercise or i get in a funk and low energy. i should have gone to the morning class today - but i thought i could get it in at lunch. always a risky move :) should just get myself out of bed in teh morning and get it over with.

Lyd, I had many days I did not feel pregnant at all! You can't go by how you feel right now, but I agree, Friday needs to hurry up for you!

Finally had our first u/s today and saw ONE healthy bean! Dr quadruple checked to make sure there was only one, and I was very relieved.

LYD- I had no symptoms until 7 plus weeks and cravings didn't happen until much later. You aren't supposed to feel Preggo yet. Stay positive! I have a good feeling about Friday.

Dogzrule- yay for a great ultrasound!!!!!

Dallas- how interesting on our cravings. Are you gaining a lot from the carbs? I certainly am.
