Yoga?

Post by PMApsy »

Hi everyone!

I have started a yoga routine every morning. I've also started an FET cycle and transfer should be around May7th or so. My clinic advises its patients to stop exercising after ET, and to refrain from exercising until a heartbeat can be seen on the monitor (which confirms that the babies are well attached).

So I'll stop cardio and pilates. But what about yoga?

I can see the huge advantages yoga could have for this cycle. It's important to keep stress at a minimum level, and yoga could help me be aware of my stress level, and help me manage it. I also know it's important to keep a nice blood flow to the pelvic area. Hence why so many protocols use aspirin, why acupuncture tmts focus on that around ET, and why PUPO or pregnant women can't lift anything heavier than 5 pounds (the crouching and lifting interrupts the blood flow).

But some yoga poses also involve using your strength when, for example, you're doing a sun salutation or an inverted asana. Does it become exercising, then? I don't have enough yoga knowledge to adapt the routine at will, so I'm just asking a general question about it. What do you think?

...oops, time to sniff some Suprefact! Cheerio! :D

Yoga improves your stamina, especially the more athletic forms of yoga such as Ashtanga yoga, power yoga, yoga vinyasa, and Bikram yoga. These practices yoga strict follow a specific sequence of poses (asanas) that become more difficult as you progress. Unlike Hatha Yoga softer, and forms of yoga ashtagna, yoga and power yoga vinyasa, Bikram yoga requires you to keep your body in constant motion between the poses, which led to a strenuous workout in the heart and improve core strength.
