Hi there
Thank you Mary, Traci, Denise, Kel, Sue m, Caz, Juliana, Shellie, Sarah and Debra for all your replies and suppoet it really means a lot to me and you are all very special people.
Now, a funny story - On Friday I was waiting for the phone call to find out if I had to go back on Saturday for another scan and bloods. The call never came so by 9pm I didn't know whether to inject of if I had to get up early and go into the hospital. I paged the on call nurse who never called me back so I just injected like normal. The next morning whilst pottering around the doctor rang in a right old flap wondering where on earth I was as she had been waiting for me in the clinic. I said I was at home having breakfast and she said she had left a message last night with DH about coming in this morning. She
so hadn't as DH was getting pi$$ed off that no one had called and told me to page them! She insisted that she had left a message with him and that she really had to scan me and take bloods. So, we charged over there and she was ringing me all the time on my mobile to see how far we were off

Honestly!!!
By the time we arrived she was pacing the floor looking a bit fed up when another couple came in saying they didn't know why they had to come but as she had called them last night they came in anyway - can you see where this is going????? She looked all red faced

and had a few apologies to make and we all saw the funny side to it - eventually. The fact that the doctor kept on saying my name during her message to the other couple's husband he just said 'Yes I'll tell her' What a divvy??
We made sure the doctor had the correct phone number for next time.....
Anyway.......
My follies are growing and have got to about 15/16mm now so I have to half my dose of Puregon last night and tonight. I am back for scans and bloods tomorrow and on Tuesday. I could drive to the hospital with my eyes closed now as I have been up there for years on a daily basis

I am drinking copious amounts of water and feel OK in myself.
My uterine lining is 10mm and looking good so the doctor was pleased with that.
Mary - To answer your questions, Yes they did reduce the FSH dosage. I was on 200 Puregon the first time and they took it down to 150 which is what I have been on since. I didn't get OHSS the 2nd and 3rd times but could have had they not monitored me carefully, I did over stimulate though. I have responded very quickly again for some reason but hopefully we are keeping the OHSS at bay. As you got OHSS your doctor will tell you how much to take. He wont leave it up to you to sort out. I too had to have fluid drained from my stomach with a drain and it was awful. I would however go through it all again though if it meant getting my dreams come true.
As for Katelyn's heart defect. We will never know if it was a direct cause from having the ICSI. I asked my consultant about it and he told me that it is unlikely as there is no proof that it causes heart deformalities. ICSI is a factor in babies born with hair lip and cleft palate but her heart condition was just a congenital deformality. It's a possibility but not a probability.
I hope that this helps you and I wish you all the best in your next treatment. Let us know how you get on.
Love to you all, Dagny xkx
PS Denise - Someone down our road had a massive firework display last night and I thought of you with yours. I think I saw a light.........^i^
