OMG I am so far behind! Congrats to all of our new mothers. I just love reading the birth stories so keep em coming!
Welcome to all of our new expecting parents

. So cool to see that we have a dad on board, will be nice to the different perspective!
This is definitely the twin board - just too exciting!!
DragonDad - They can determine the sex at the NT scan but it is so unreliable that I would not bet to much on it. MY OB would not even tell us what it was at the NT scan, he claims he hates to tell parents something that is only 40-50% accurate, only to tell the opposite at the 20wk ultrasound.
Jen - What makes you think you are having a girl? The only reason I ask is because I really FEEL that I am having a boy and everyone at work thinks I am insane. I am so glad that you are uneventful at 13wks!!!! You are so lucky not to be having symptoms ... I have been suffering. But I know it is for a good cause.
AFM - I have been having my ups and downs. I was having dizzy spells earlier this week and took a few days off. I feel much better. I went to see the OB and he did not seem too concerned. I am wondering if I am a bit anemic, but I am also trying not to be a hypochondriac. Still vomiting all over the place ... I have gotten pretty good and quickly vomiting and moving on. No longer as nauseous as I used to be though. All in all the 2nd trimester is much better than the first so I am grateful. Gender ultrasound on the 26th!! But like said - I just know it is a boy. Finally had to break down and buy maternity clothes. The bump is definitely there now and I wish I had bought them sooner, I am so much more comfortable! None of my bras fit so I guess next week I need to invest in some of those as well. I finally got my fetal heart monitor to work consistently!!! All in all I feel blessed!
QOTW - For those of you who have delivered...what advice do you have for the other ladies on the board? For you ladies and gent in waiting, what part of the birth experience is most important to you and why?
I have to admit that I cannot wait for them to place my little one on my chest right after delivery. I just think that is such a precious moment and I know that there are so many things that can keep that from happening. When I was in nursing school (15 years ago) they used to put babies right to the breast immediately after delivery. It seems like they have gotten away from that and I am not sure why ... at the time it was thought to facilitate latching on for breast feeding and I just thought it was such an important piece of the delivery. I have no expectations for everything else, just really want what is best for my little one.
Take Care!!!
