Not Good News

Post by DeeDee »

All

Looks like it might all be over - I have started bleeding and despite me keep telling myself that this could be perfectly normal, I know I am just kidding myself.

Oh well at least I managed to be pregnant for 3 days - its the furthest I've ever been.

Unfortunately this was are 1 and only attempt so it really is pants.

Thanks to all of you for your support and wishes, and to those of you on your 2ww don't read anything into this - it happens

Take Care

Oh DeeDee

No, no, no this mustn't happen, I am so shocked for you. Have you spoken to anyone at your clinic? There are lots of girls who have bled and gone on to still be PG. I bled but around 6 weeks but if I remember rightly Alisonn or Allison can't remember which spelling had a bleed and thought it was deffo game over and she is still very much PG. When was your scan booked in for??

I am thinking of you and I hope it isn't all over, it can't be.

Take care DeeDee

This is awful and I know I would be a mess but talk to the clinic and try not to panic. You had a strong reading on hpt and did you have a blood test. Had this with someone over the other side recently - think Shellie and sure enough twins! This can be frequent in twin cases after a positive - all the extra hormones and can be one coming away or not implanting properly or them both being fine but your body just having a wobble.

Please speak to the clinic and get bloods taken to see the hcg levels.
Thinking of you

DeeDee - sorry to hear this scary bleeding has started. I echo the earlier advice, ask for a new blood test and you'll know PDQ where you stand. It's so worrying I know, but try to remain positive until you absolutely know one way or another.

love

All

Thanks for your wise words, I did speak to my clinic yesterday pm who said that it could be a number of different things. Last night the bleeding had stopped so I was feeling quite positive that it had been implantation bleeding. BUT this morning I am bleeding with avengence - no clots but lots of blood, despite wanting to remain positive I can't help thinking that this is not good news. I will call my clinic again and ask if they will give me a blood test.

Again thanks everyone

Oh DeeDee

I really am so sorry. I hope you get to have a blood test just so you'll know one way or the other. This is so horrid and I am thinking of you today. Take care and let us know what happens.

Good luck, Dee Dee. We'll be thinking of you often. I certainly hope you do get the test soon from the clinic. Waiting is awful.

Just popped on to see if there were any changes?

Try to relax and get some sleep, easier said than done of course. Have the clinic agreed to do another test?

All

Just to update you, had a blood test yesterday, results after 3pm today.

Am still bleeding, this is AF, without a doubt, so fully prepared for clinic to confirm.

Have done some research which would suggest that my embbies failed to implant, you still get a positive, but a weak one, mine was weak but I put it down to the huge amounts of water I have been drinking, c.8 litres a day, sometimes more. A bit peed that if this was the case taking asprin may have helped, you may recall my clinic weren't happy when I suggested this, suggested all sorts of scary stories which at the time I felt I had to do as they said. With hindsight wish I had taken the asprin, after all it couldn't have killed me.

On the plus side, at least I got pregnant, and whilst I was having my blood test yesterday they confirmed that everything was as good as it could have possibly been. They said that I would need to have another appointment with the Dr at the clinic before another cycle, to ask any questions, but as I don't like the Dr (she was the one who said no about the asprin, and is very patronising) and as we don't have any questions I am going to insist that we by pass and start tmt again asap. This time I am going to be in control, feel much more confident about the whole thing. Only thing is that looking at the dates if the cycle was the same as last time I would test on the same day as my 40th - could I really cope with a -ive and being 40

Anyway I'll let you know the result later today, in the meantime a BIG thank you to you all for your concern and support

Oh Dee Dee

I do so hope you get some answers - what I really hope is you are still pg! Re the aspirin - don't beat yourself up about it - not sure it really did make a difference - it's a hard call this aspirin business.
Hang in there
Thinking of you....

DeeDee - glad you've had the test, I'll be watching and waiting until you get your result later today. Fingers crossed.

If (only IF) this is AF....then both Loopy and I went through exactly the same thing in March. A positive quickly followed by AF...I have to say it's worse than getting a straightforward negative. You know we'll be here no matter what this afternoon.

As for thinking ahead to any next tmt...positive thinking never hurts but the clinic might suggest a gap of a couple of months. When were you thinking of? My clinic are anti-aspirin so like Tracey S (which stands for Sage I think) don't beat yourself up about it, lots of clinics don't recommend it, the research isn't conclusive at all.

Not worried about 40 are you??? come on in, the water's lovely! Really, it's not that bad at all. The first person to ask me my age since I turned the big 4-0, was a woman of 32 who then shouted 'omg, my mum is only 47'. WTF!!

I hope the day passes quickly for you.
love

Well its as I thought a low HCG count - so no surprises really. I think I would have been more worried if they had said anything different.

All being well tmt should start again end August (is it too early to start a Sept cycle thread), have to have 2 AF's first, this is one of them, so dates willing.

The clinic asked me yesterday how I had found the treatment, compared to some of you I sailed through, the most painful part was the amount of money it cost :D

Debra - are you planning on another cycle, if so when?

Appreciate that the asprin thing is inconclusive but as it can't hurt I am going to give it a try, but won't change anything else.

So 6 weeks to get back to the gym, gave it up completely once I started sniffing, stopped drinking back in May, although did have 1 or 2 (OK maybe 3) between May and stimming.

What a rollercoaster this week has been - since Sunday I have been right up there, then Wednesday right down there - climbing back up again now, have had a few tears but crying never helped anyone solve anything and always makes me look even more hidous so try not to induldge.

Living off beans now to pay for the next tmt, off to buy a lottery ticket - if I win - I'll pay for us all (don't hold me to it) :D

Take care everyone, legs up everyone on the 2ww - don't read anything into your own symptoms - we are all different and will all get different results - worrying never solved anything and unfortuanately the amount of worrying you do is not going to affect the outcome.
