kiwi11 - I meant "pre-mixed" as in has a sort of brand name label or is a standard 14-day kit, which is what I remember getting for my previous cycles. What I have now is a little glass bottle in what looks like a prescription pill bottle that has a pharmacy label on it, and they separately boxed up some needles and alcohol swabs -- along with the typed note about the national lupron shortage. THREE DAYS??? You are so lucky!

With FET there are a lot less shots. There are different protocols, but here is mine:
- June 25 Monday – start birth control pill
- July 14 Saturday – start Lupron shots, 10 units in the morning
- July 18 Wednesday – take last birth control pill
- July 23 Monday at 7:15am – baseline ultrasound, start baby aspirin and Vivelle patches
- August 9 Thursday at 7:15am – check lining thickness, if OK last dose of Lupron that morning
- August 14 Tuesday – call to get a specific time for the transfer
- August 15 Wednesday – estimated date of embryo transfer, take valium 2 hours before
I will also need to start PIO shots and tabs around the time of my transfer. SO not looking forward to that. I'm still getting re-acclimated to the tiny little subcutaneous needles!!
