AFM- Another beta tomorrow. Numbers were still low last time so all I can do is pray for the best. This is a crazy journey. It is out of my hands and I have to endure this whatever reason Heavenly Father has. As Leora says, " I am happy just to be pregnant for now." That really is not easy to say for me.

I apparently had a bad reaction to the doxycycline drip in the iv. I started having a hard time breathing and got nauseous. That must not happen often because the nurse was freaking. She stayed with me and the dr came, and then they called the anesthesiologist in. I got nervous BC the nurse talked about canceling, but after about 30 minutes I felt better and the anesthesiologist gave us the green light. Now awaiting tomorrow's call. Last time they were a little disappointed with our fert rate but hoping we get at least 2 to transfer (any to freeze would be a total bonus). Thanks for checking on me!

Lindsey-Thankful you were able to proceed. Nothing like a freaking out nurse to put you on pins and needles as if we have not been poked enough. Hope you are feeling better soon. Good luck on the fertilization.

Patricia- Using your visualization technique today. Trying to put faces with all you ladies. Pictured you as this firecracker of a red head doing the baby dance. Guess i read somewhere you have red hair? Wishing you lots of baby dust for a BFP.

Had a good day today. Told my 17 year old her sister's old car would be available for her to drive her senior year. She was thrilled.

Just got the fert call. Of the 9 eggs, 7 were mature and 5 fertilized. I am happy with this, because I am pretty sure last time around, we got 12, 7 were mature, and I think 5 fertilized. My hope is to have 3 good ones left, one or two to freeze and one or two to transfer. Best case scenario, of course!

I have been doing a lot of thinking about the number to transfer. We were more successful with transferring the one frozen than two fresh, and because of the health implications I would rather only have one at a time. My husband wants to transfer two. Our dr generally recommends two. I have been reading that overall success rates per retrieval are just as high with one at a time as transferring multiple at once, but you obviously run the risk of having to go through multiple FET cycles which aren't cheap. First in a long line of decisions for this hopeful little one!

Lindsey - juchuuu to 5 fertilized eggs. let them grow nicely.
It is always hard to decide if me or two- they all recommend two but you should do what feels right for you. You might not end up with eggs to freeze so that's one point to consider. We had 7 left after transfer and only two could be frozen but you nev know. According t omy beta it could be twins so I wouldn't need the frozen ones. But it is a different story for everyone and I would prefer one at a time.

Patricia I am so sorry to hear that. I did spot the day before my test and still got a positive with my DD. It is a heavy flow or just spotting?

I wish it was spotting but it's bright red and reasonably heavy

Lindsey- So happy you have 5 eggs fertilize. I had 5 make it transfer with my fresh cycle. Transfer 2 and 1 survived to freeze. Single birth of DS. That Popsicle is the one I am working on now. Follow that inner voice as what to do.

AFM-My numbers went up to 186 from 67. I am not out of the woods yet, but they almost tripled. My clinic says they are pleased with the progress and will schedule me for an U/S Sept. 11. I felt my heart leap with a big ray of hope today. Thank you for your well wishes and prayers. Now another 2ww for the U/S. I am so thankful.

I'm so freaking out this weekend and don't know why. I normally handle the 2ww pretty well but I'm really nervous right now i wanna go do my bloodwork but I don't wanna know the results I'm so chicken of a no. Just tell me when my next doc apt is ill go to it. I guess ive been hoping a lot that its a yes and finally came out of confinement Lol and talking to friends and family that are already so excited that its ganna work I don't want to be a disappointment to so many people. I went to a party tonight and my drunk ass cousin told someone I was prego so I had ppl rubbing my tummy and saying they were so happy for us I was so mad dh steeped up and said I don't want to talk about it and they need to drop it and he also kinda told off my cousin. Just a little self contious and adgitated tonight sorry.
