Thank you Jayne, love my stalkers! Kynlee you are amaZing, I appreciate everyone being there during this uncertainty. Today the embryologist called me and said out of 16 eggs, ten were big enough to inject and so 9 fertilized. Now waiting on a return call from my nurse with these PIO shots.

Christy - The PIO shots are totally daunting at first, but not as bad as the size of the needle might lead you to believe. What size do you have, btw? Length and gauge? I started out with a 2 inch needle, got them to reduce it to 1.5 inch (I believe 22 gauge) because the longer one was just insane with my skinny ass. I always have had the nurse draw circles on my butt where they should go, by the time you have done a few shots you get the idea of where they should be. I know the needle seems a lot bigger than the little subcutaneous ones, but if you are able to stick it in fast enough at least for me I found it to be less painful than the small needles. They are VERY sharp. Make sure though that you replace the needle after drawing out the progesterone, sticking it into the rubber top dulls the point. Forgot to do that once, OUCH! Let me know if you need more advice. I was so freaked out at first, but at this point I can give myself this shot in like 2 minutes, with my son and 3 dogs (and sometimes a cat or 2) in the bathroom with me. I am not a fan of needles, but this is the hand we got dealt so... You just suck it up and do what you gotta do.

Awww Thank you ladies! I really didn't expect posts when I jumped on the board tonight. My thoughts were where is everyone, maybe they all left me to defend on my own? This is scary, exciting and nerve-racking all at the same time, yes now more then ever I need my cheerleaders and I appreciate each of you for being there, I really do! :D

WonderCat- Injecting 1cc of progesterone oil using 18 gauge to draw up the med and then switching to 22 gauge for the injection. I must remember to change the needles back so I don't injure myself. Yes thank you for all your PIO tips, very helpful to know and yes I have a skinny behind so this isn't going to be any picnic! I gave myself my first shot and almost passed out in the bathroom. I felt so weak while the oil was going in and halfway done I thought I would take it to the bedroom, BIG MISTAKE! Learned quickly you never want to change locations when there is a 22 gauge needle in your tush. I watched a video and had the spot picked out using my mirror but it was still painful and for the next hour I walked around like someone shot me in the hip, rubbing my rump helped but my numbing creme arrived this afternoon making tomorrow hopefully better!

MadameX- Thank you, I cannot wait to be PUPO but more then anything I cannot wait to get the report in the morning. I'm already in love with my embryos and we haven't even met. I just want them to keep thriving!

Nicole- Are you feeling better? I hope the run wasn't too much I bet the Halloween costumes were great!

Ninde- Monday will mark day 5 for the lab, but I hope to go in Saturday to give me more time to rest and relax since I have Sunday and Monday off. Next time around I'll have vacation time so it will be so much easier with work. How are you?

Anton- Dear sweet friend I certainly have missed you!!! I read that you got a new puppy, you must share a pix with us! We love our furbabies. Ha mine terrify the FedEx guy everytime he comes to deliver my meds. They growl and bark very protective, yep who needs ADT security when you have dogs like these! How is P&G Proctor going for you? AND did you mention something about a wedding? It's been tooooo long since we've heard for you, so please update us when you are able!

Julia- Absolutely I need everything crossed and ALL prayers right now. It's the calm before the storm (well maybe that's a bad analogy esp with Sandy out there). But there is a very long way to go, I'm really thankful I'm not alone in this journey.

AFM: Must go to bed so tomorrow will hurry up and get here. More updates coming soon!

Sunshine – Thanks for the prayers, we were back home Tuesday afternoon, I was crazy to go home and get some sleep because we ended up going to the shelter (and there is no way to sleep there )
I am glad everything is almost back to normal here. I have power, but my phone, internet, and tv are still not working.
Wow 16 eggs! That’s great! I also had 16 eggs! Hofepully that’s going to be our lucky number.Did they ICSI all your eggs to get the 9 embies?
Poor you with all the stress about your in laws seeing your house. What did you end up doing? Did you call your best friend or did you decide to have your mother in law drive you? I believe she wouldn’t care so much with your house not being perfectly organized, you have been through so much lately, your clinic is so far, all the driving and working would naturally not leave enough time to clean the house. I believe your mother in law would understand, try not to stress mama.
It’s interesting that your clinic has more success with 3 day transfers, that makes me a little less worried about my own transfer.
As for the progesterone shots, a friend of mine said she iced the area before doing the injection, then she would use a warm cloth or something else warm to spread the oil, that helped a lot, she said. Poor you, I felt your pain as you described giving yourself the injection. My friend had her husband do it for her, do you think your DH can help with that? I am using Endometrin suppositories, its so much better than Crinone, its not that messy and I don’t have the build ups. With Crinone, I had so much build-up that It was painful. My husband had to help me remove some of that, sooo embarrassing.

Nicole – Hope you are feeling better.

Anton – Have have you been?

AFM – Got a cold and a sore throat, I just hope it doesn’t affect the embryos. I have been checking my temperature and I don’t have fever (thank God). I started cramping last night, Last time I had cramping too and ended up with a BFN with AF showing up before my BETA day. :(

Sunshine and Pocos- I'm deffinently here cheering and praying for both of ya'll!!! I've been swamped at work the past few days an unable to get on to post anything just to check in and read a few updates here and there.

I swear this is the longest week ever I got my meds this week but I have to stare at the box until Sunday then I'll start Leupron. I kinda can't wait but I'm nervous to start all this again. I'm also scared I'm going to go in on the 14th for my ultra sound and find a big fat sist on my left overy. That side has been so sore off and on the last couple of days but then if I eat it's not so bad? I dunno what it is probably nerves and stuff.

Pocos- I'm glad you got to go home and your ok.

Tawny- I totally understand staring at a box of meds is no fun esp when you are ready to get something cooking! Hopefully your baseline checks out ok! For some reason I could of sworn you are doing a FET this cycle? But trust me you get yourself busy for the next two weeks and time WILL fly by.

Pocos- You poor thing, how come you ended up going to a shelter instead of your parent's house? I bet you didn't sleep at all! I hope all is okay with your house and the neighborhood. Don't worry about the cramping I have read about many ladies on this forum talking about the cramping and come to realize later on it was implantation, so let's continue to hope for the best! When is your beta scheduled for next week?
As for ER, my in-laws are still coming tonight luckily dh started cleaning last night and I got some done before heading into work so the house looks decent, not perfect but it will have to do because I can only do so much. My boss was a complete pain today b/c she expected me to be out on the salesfloor and at 3:30 I still had not heard about the embryo report so I was getting anxious. I told another coworker to watch the floor for me while I ran to the back to call but could only leave a voicemail message. My boss found me putting my phone up and said I need to be on the personal calls during my 10 minute break. I said this is important and she said not now. So I walk back out there and while I'm making business calls out on the salesfloor she walks OFF and I call my husband and then at the same time the clinic calls me. One of my coworker tells me I have another call, she wasn't happy about that, but what else could I do, I needed to find out before the clinic closed. So when she asked me what they ended up saying about my report I said I have to call them back and I shut her off staying busy the rest of the day. She decides to go home early and never brings it up, so I don't either but it really made me angry because she acted cold-hearted and incompassionate. I understand it's important to stay focussed while I am at work but at the same time she knows how important this is to me. I tell you I'm always going to put this first no matter what. So going forward I will not be sharing my personal stuff with her. Oh and by the way, two girls this week have turned in their resignation letter, I thought on my way home what more of us did that and we could get rid of her? All I need is a boss who cares about her people and can manage the store successfully at the same time. To me that would be a win-win and the retention would certainly improve. Sorry I had to get my next to last vent in before the transfer! Also today I overheard the pg coworker tell someone that her exboyfriend asked WHO she has been staying with since she ran away and she said she told him another coworker NOT the guy from high school who gave her a place to stay. I guess she lied so she could have a chance to get back together with her ex, but it's still corrupted but that's her problem not mine, just wish I never had to deal with any of the drama that's all. Ok I have to stop before I completely drive myself crazy, so glad to be off for the next THREE days!!!

AFM: As for the embryo report: From the 9 that fertilized they said 4 are growing slowly but we have 5 that look ready for a 3 day transfer so tomorrow is the big day. Transferring two for this cycle and hopefully the others will be fine to freeze.
I personally feel the quality would be "reasurring" if some freeze but I try to remember too some thrive better when they are home with Mama. Now I'm focussing on getting ready for tomorrow with the in-laws lol this should be interesting!

Christy: oh well done you, those embryos sound marvelous. I dont know if you will have internet but will you let us know? You asked where everyone has gone - facebook. It is a helpful group and if you are interested I can ask someone to invite you? I will stay here for you anyway - i was annoyed when everyone seemed to disappear a couple of months ago, probably unreasonably so really but i just feel you have always been so supportive.

Lana: how are you doing now

Tonya: would they do an early u/s for you just in case there is a cyst?

Madam x: how are you?!!!

Afm; starting dhea tomorrow, the bloody side efeects sound awful - acne, facial hair, insomnia, greasy skin. Im actually a bit worried

Please invite me to facebook, christy*gattis but I still will talk about IVF stuff here because I feel this is the main place where our journey started. Facebook is more of a social network for people I went to school with and family photos. It's easier to separate everything and research for topics that might not be on facebook. I do appreciate your support alway Patricia.

Christy, great embie report. I don't get your boss. She bitches about this but supports all the crap you pg coworker did/does?

Patricia is right. A lot of folks went over to the Facebook group and aren't as active here. I really think it boils down to accessibility and ease of conversing. I don't post all the time there but can check it easily on my phone. This site is a total pain in the arse to use on my phone. I don't plan on leaving the site here. The groups are different.

As for me, really, how much snot can one produce? Ugh. I missed two days of work, one of which was halloween. Totally not cool. I completely lost my voice those two days. Its kind of back but not enough to hold a conversation or talk on the phone. Coughing, neon sinus drainage, you name it. Sucks. Dh is sick too.

Some of you may remember I spoke of my neighbor who had lung and brain cancer a while back. She passed away and we are going to her celebration of life gathering tomorrow.

The Halloween run in Portland on the 21st was good. Super poorly organized, but fun. We won't be doing that one again. We are going to do the Seattle Marathon thanksgiving weekend.

Those of you on the east coast. We are thinking of you.
