has been a very tough time over there and not many +itves it realy
is heartbreaking life is so cruel and unfair.
Glad your scan went well, now u can realy start enjoying being pregnant
without worrying too much (oh realy) !!!!!!!! i have about 3 1/2 wks
left and finding it difficult getting about as i have exploded in the last
5 wks, but have to say im going to realy miss being pregnant, when
im shopping i cant help looking at my reflextion in the shop window
and it makes me feel so happy.
So your mat. leave starts beginning of dec, that will be lovely being
off with the run up to xmas it will make it all the more exciting time.

Hi all,

Sorry have not been on for a while, had nothing much going on. Isn't it amazing how things quiten down once the treatment has finished & we get the results we want. It has been so sad on the other side,I hope things get better for them all & they get the happiness we all have now.

Been to the clinic yesterday to meet the consultant & after a 2hr wait found out he had been called away. Got to see the staff midwife & had urine tests etc. done. Then she tried to get the babys heartbeat & couldn't find it. I was petrified. Then they decided to send me to the fetal assessment unit for a scan & sure enough baby is fine.Relief again. This little munchkin likes to scare his mummy & daddy, but we are very happy now that everything is ok. 16 weeks next Saturday & then we go for the anomoly scan in 4 weeks. We have decided against the triple test & amnio because after everything we will love this baby with all our hearts no matter what as I am sure all you ladies will too.

Been having major cravings for pizza, had it 4 times this week, with loadsa pepperoni, not craving anything else really.

Hope that all the rest of you ladies are doing well & take care of those special bumps! :D :D

hi gem, to be honest i havnt realy had time to be nervous about the birth
as we are in the middle of major building works and i have been trying
to sort out as much of that as i can, i have chosen most things, just
trying to decide on what colour for kitchen cabinets but i dont think it will
all be finished till end of oct, when we have a new staircase being
fitted !!!!! what timing.
We went for our 3rd antinatal class on monday evening, it was all about
c-sections, forceps and induced labour very plesant !!
So is your little one moving around can u feel the movements much ??
its so magical when u do, mine always seems active when im sitting
in bed at night and my dp puts his hand on my bump its seems to move
in all sorts of shapes it does make me giggle.
We havnt even got a names list, can u believe that, a while back i found
a webb page with lists of names so might try looking for that again.
Christina, what a scare for you, but pleased the little munchkin decided
to play ball at the scan, sometimes they put themselves in such a position
that its quite difficult for the midewife to find the heart beat, i had a similar
prob yesterday at midwife, it took her quite some time to get the heart
beat, meanwhile i was sitting there getting distraught by the second, but
eventually all was well. So it wont be long till u start to feel that first flutter,
and have to say its an incredable feeling.
As for pizzas, i use to love them but have not had one since been pregnant
have gone off them along with chinese, in fact find it very difficult to get
excited about food, my dp always asks at lunchtime what are we having
for dinner, and i just cant think about food, funny realy.
anyway have a good day girls, enjoy. alisonn

Hi girls,
It's amazingly quiet on this side indeed, must be Dagny and Tracey's absence! I agree with Christina that things seem quieter after the treatment but on the other hand I think we are all still counting and watching every little development - I know I am. Time does seem to pass quicker after the first 12 weeks. Gem, I cannot believe you are so far, as if it was only yesterday we had your good news. and as for Alisonn - I marvel that you can even think about home rennovation, we have had a little of this and it drives me crazy, I just seem to get too stressed from it! I do hope it will be at least at a more manageable stage when the little one arrives!
As for cravings, strangely I've been obsessed with cherries and water melon, fruit in general I can really gobble up but have little enthusiasm for anything else, there seems to be little space in my stomach with the two pushing it up until I can hardly breathe. But as Alisonn says it's the most special feeling to feel them move, dp and I have a guessing game which ones is moving when, the boy kicks harder while the girl seems to travel around and every scan we find her in a different position (he just stays head down, good boy...). What a joy!
take care all of you!

hello again,

wow twice in one week thats good for me. Justv sitting at the computer & feeling very very tired. Got a acall from the docs today after a blood test. Turns out even though I@ve been taking pronatal vitamins, I need extra folic acid. She gave me a perscription for it, but I am not worrying because I was taking folic acid during treatment etc. Well at least that is sorted now. Going to see the midwife tomorrow. Just wondered if any is taking ant iron? I have been feeling very tired & weepy & wondered if it would be that. Surely at 16 weeks ( saturday ) I should be " blooming ".
Oh well maybe I am just being silly.

Haven't felt any movement yet, but felt like bubbles popping, won't be long now til we feel a little kick.

Hope you all are well. Shellie where are you ? Hope you are ok, not heard from you in a while.

Take Care :D :D :D

Hi everyone

Christina glad you have felt the bubbles I havent felt any kicks yet and I'm 20wks but hopefully I will soon.
Alison cant believe you are having lots of builing work done,we are looking at kitchens as we need a new kitchen before baby comes,we've been looking at mfi we like the darkish wood ones.
We've been to look round a nursery today as I'm off work til beg sep I like to be organised and book a place for peanut,so me and dh have been to look at one where my friends girls go we are wanting a nursery for 3 mornings as dh is having teh baby every afternoon and my mum is having it mon and fri mornings, and what we like about this nursery is they do special rates for school workers they only charge you term time only and still keep your place open they also charge hourly and are a non profit organisations so she is sending a booklet out and we will phoen a book a place in for beg june when I go back to work.
Hoep everyone is ok?
Bina when is your 20wk scan??

Hi there!
Have been reading all your posts from work where I cant post and this is my first chance to post (from home!) in ages! Havent deserted though I promise!

Gem - SO pleased to hear your scan went well. Must be SUCH a relief to have it done and all fine :-). Dina am I right in thinking that your in next week (I know you said week 21?). Good luck !
Mine is next Tuesday (week 20 - weird eh?!!). And just PRAYING that everything will be fine - but you know what I'm like before any of these things ALWAYS fearing the worst. Still can't decide whether to find out the sex or not - I think we are just more focused on hoping everything will be "normal". Gem - was it quite a scarey scan watching them go through everything - or was it more just amazing!?

I haven't felt any kicks either - seems that its anywhere between 18 to 22 weeks for first timers. Felt a few bubbles but to be honest I would probably not really have noticed them if I hadnt been looking out for them , if you know what I mean!

Suddenly looking REALLY pregnant - I saw a friend last weekend and she said then , "O you hardly look pregnant at all (just fat!!)", saw her YESTERDAY and she couldn't believe how pregnant I looked!! Just seesm to have popped out over night !!

Not up to very much this weekend - just hanging out with DH - going to do a bit of paint and tile shopping. VERY exciting, not!!

Thats about it from me
Take care all!
Love

O now its just me on here.............pooooooooooooor meeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Have got 5 month scan tomorrow and am VERY scared! keep thinking of all the sacrey things they have to measure and look for and all the things that COULD be wrong. HELP - I'm as bad as I was from day1 blood tests!
Its weird I think I;m pretty relaxed about pregnancy in general - havent been tooooo uptight about things in general, but when it comes to having scans or any tests for anything - I immediately think the worst and just FREAK!!

Anyway - its at 9am tomorrow - so I'll try to let you know how it went as soon as I can!

Take care all - na dgood luck to anyone else about the have their scan too!

Hi All,

Hope that you are all keeping well. Caz, glad everything went well with your scan. Suppose that I will be next, got my scan on Sept. 14th. Had an appointment with the midwife yesterday & everything went well & we finally got to hear the heartbeat which was very strong. I burst into tears, it was soo amazing. If you remember at the clinic last week, Baby wouldn't play ball so we ended up having a scan to make sure evrything was fine. Yesterday he started doing summersaults while she was listening to the heartbeat :D
Got a definate bump now and I must say it feels great & people are noticing it now also.

Shellie, I do hope that you are ok, not heard from you in such a long while, hopefully your on holidays & enjoying your pregnancy. Hope to hear from you soon.

To all you other ladies keep well & have a great weekend! :D :D :D

17 weeks tomorrow! YIPEE :D :D

Hello,

Am I the only one here now? :(

Not heard from you all so hope your all just having an extended long weekend.
I hope that you all are still feeling good. :)
I am fine ( feel like I am talking to myself here), my little bump is definately getting bigger now & we have the anomoly scan in 2 weeks. Bit nervous about that so I am hoping everything will be ok. Getting used to wearing trakkie bottoms now, anything for comfort. I have started to feel the baby a lot more now too, not so much kicks but definate movements, and it feels great.

Well again I hope you are all well & come back soon...lol :)
