Oh Chubbs, I'm so sorry, you must be crushed. You sound very focused and in control, which is good but don't bottle it all in. If DH is your rock, use him.

You're right, time does heal. It's one of those cliches that is a truism too. It does get easier but not right now.

Take lots of time, maybe a long break and think again in the New Year?

take care

Chubbs
So sorry to hear your news I was so hoping you would get a positive result. Take time to pamper yourself and indulge a little. I know nothing helps really but take care of yourself and Dh.

Chubbs, I am so so sorry it didn't work out for you. I know how much you must be hurting now - but I hope in time you will find the strength to give it another go.

Take care of each other

Love and hugs

Chubbs

I am so sorry about your result, we all know how hard it is. Just take your time to do nice things together with your DH, you can think about what next when you are ready.

Chubbs, I am devastated that this time has not worked out of you. I SO wanted to hear that your one embie had taken hold. I agree that IVF is so cruel, but time is a great healer. We ladies are so resilient in the long run. Even giving this thing a go is such a big risk - all of you are an inspiration to me.

We're really getting into Sept. here. Would one of you Sept. Cycle Buddies like to start a Sept. Testers list? It's easy. Just start a new thread - I keep a text copy of the list on my computer so I can update it easily. To get the text copy, just click the "quote" button and copy and paste it into MS Word or a text editor.

Good luck September Testers!!!!!!!!!!

hi

Post by gsn »

Hello,
I am trying to get to know some women. I am very new.
We did egg retreival on 8/24 and retreived 17 eggs out of the 17 10 were mature. 3 fertilized out of the 10 correct and 7 or so fertilized incorrect.
So when it was time for transfer we had 2 embryos left. We did a day 3 transfer. The doctors were surprised with my age of 24. They were thinking things would go a little different so now it is just a waiting waiting and going crazy. I am intested in learning more about other women cycles and how they are doing.

Hi Gayle,

I'm very new to this (IVF first timer) but 17 eggs seems like loads! Remember .. it only takes 1. How long until you know?

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hello Pam,
I find out on 9/7. So I am almost there. It has been really hard for me to wait.
Have you gone through ivf? If so let me know how it is going.

Gayle,

The first time you do IVF, they don't know how you will react to the medications, etc. so I think getting all the way to ET is a huge accomplishment! In the UK, they only put back 2 embies anyway, and those ladies on this list seem to have as much success as us US girls.

My first IVF was in June and +ve with early miscarriage. We did a frozen transfer in August and +ve, but holding our breaths until the first scan Sept. 15.

I hope your IVF is successful. You'll hear loads of stories and be able to watch them happen in real time on the August and Sept. Cycle Buddies threads. GOOD LUCK!!!!

1st timer

Hi Gayle,

Not long now !! I wish you all the luck in the world.

I'm just on my first attempt (IVF) still on the spray as the de-regging is taking longer than expected but hopefully I will start the injections next week. I'll probably be an October tester.

I'm really glad to have found this site, it's really helping me to be more positive. I had been getting fairly down because of all the bad news after bad news which brought me to this point but I'm really starting to develop an onwards and upwards attitude... it's helping me.

Please let me know how things go on Tuesday.

Jeanie,

THANK YOU 2X!!! This board has been such a help and I have loved cycling with all the August Cycle Buddies - really a great group. All of us deserve to get +ves, and I'll be watching for those of you whose turn is coming up!
