HI Everyone!
It's great to see everyone doing fine. We just got in from Aruba last night and it was fun to catch up on everyone's posts. Here I am typing at the computer instead of doing about 6 loads of laundry.
My Dr. only wants me eating fish once a week, shrimp lobster once a week, bacon once a week etc. or not at all. So it was hard in Aruba with all of the seafood to order chicken/beef. Also, I know she doesn't want me eating deli meat or hotdogs because of the nitrates, and I found sliced turkey and hotdogs at Trader Joe's that are nitrate free. For those of you who don't have a Trader Joe's try the health food/organic stores and they might have the same stuff. Look at me giving the what to eat sermon while I still crack open a Coca Cola after every breakfast to get my day started. Though I do limit myself to one a day.
Janem: Good to see you back on the board. Sorry to hear you had a few scares, hopefully from here on out will be smooth sailing.
Barny: Welcome! The second trimester is absolutely the easiest! Glad to see you posting.
Angela, Alicia & Tanya: I also did the Winter coat shopping. It was pretty interesting. I ended up at Banana Republic and bought a tweed coat that is fitted through the shoulders and chest and then has a bit of a swing around the belly area. I just hope by March it has enough swing if you know what I mean.
Cate: How are things going?
Well I hope all is well with everyone. I have my level II ultrasound on Monday, which I'm so excited about. I love to see what's going on in there with my little girl. Now that I know the sex it seems so personal to be talking about my little baby girl. I guess it makes it a lot more real. Not that by the size of me, anyone would guess that it's not real. We should measure and see who is the largest ha ha. My sister is pregnant and due Feb. 19th...a little less than 2 months ahead of myself and we often measure and call each other to see who is bigger. She's so much further behind me, but I'm only 1.5 inches smaller! I chalk it up to this being the 2nd child. ha ha, or the Halloween candy
Everybody rub your belly and think happy thoughts!
