Paige and SophieJ,
Thanks for your posts, it is helping believe me. I share some of your outrage SophieJ with my clinic. When I pressed for a concrete reason for their reservation, they really couldn't give me one; just the same old stuff about miscarrying the one and the bleeding, blah, blah, blah. They could not link this concretely to the other embryo, really. I think they must make alot of allowances for themselves in case they are wrong-perhaps they have had some very sticky, emotional reactions from women in the past, I don't know.
What the Doctor was saying was that ordinarily one has a 95% chance of carrying to full term once a hearbeat is identified, just as yours, Paige, said. But since I also experienced a miscarriage, that percentage goes down a bit for me.
A few hours later I'm beginning to rally and feel better. In fact, I am feeling like there is no reason why I should feel down-and you made an excellent point SJ, about the 90% chance of carrying to full term. Even though we don't know the percentage really in my situation, it still looks good, either way.
Thanks for the continued support, it really means alot to me.
