Thanks for the warm welcome, girls! And thanks for letting me in on your sniffing practice. They should come up with a medication that your partner needs to massage into your back twice daily, shouldn't they?!
Minnow - you asked about the best support for yourself and what might happen. I guess that is so different with everyone.
During my first cycle I didn't have any side effects whatsoever. Other than that I looked like a drug addict because of all the bruises on my arms and tummy. My last practice loved to take blood nearly every other day, and I needed to do injections twice daily. But still, I didn't think it was such a big deal.
The second cycle was quite different, this time I needed only one round of injections every morning, and nearly no blood screens have been done. But my breasts became huge and sensitive (he just digged it ...), and I felt very bloated all the time. One could have worried to stick another needle into the blown-up tummy, it might have caused an explosion.
I feel the best support for yourself is to endulge yourself: eat well, take a rest whenever you want, treat yourself as you would be sick and have a right to eat chocolate and to stay in bed for hours. Or do anything else you want. Just don't read medication leaflets! That stops you from waiting for side effects. Until today I have no idea about any drug I used. I couldn't even tell you what I took this time, although it has been just a few weeks ago.
As for drinking: I stopped to drink coffee and alcohol, stopped smoking, took up Yoga again, and took my vitamins. I think we all handle that similar.
And yes, all of a sudden every pregnant woman in 100 km reach will try to go shopping in YOUR supermarket! Especially where I live must be a nest of them.
Good luck to you all! Hang in there! It's all for the best! It's modern medicine!
