Just had to post this to say, my friend's just told me on the phone to take extra folic acid and that'll help me!!!

Just had to log on here, to tell you something funny!!
My dh and I are going to be using a donor and when we were explaining this to a mate of my husbands, he said "oh, so they put the sperm into your testicles then?"

i just got asked about ivf and if i felt funny while they watched us..
aparently she thought that me and dh would just have sex and the doctor would watch.. i dont understand her way of thinking how would any one think by wactching us have sex would get us pregnant?

we werent blessed with our babies to raise here but we our blessed with our grandaughter
and all of our many adopted and foster children that touch our lives
and i am glad to add that our 6th grandchild will be born this spring!!!!

i got this cd for a friend cause she cant read the book because she is blind.
well it is 3 cds and i copied them and i went and put #s on them so she would see them..
lucly i cought myself before i called her or toke them to her..
i would have felt awful...
so maybe sometimes things are said and done out of love and kindness..

Hi all,
This thread has made good reading, where do these people get their "advice" from?? lol.
I have to say i've been pretty lucky, i've only had one from my MIL, she has 2 sons and a daughter, my DH is her eldest, her other son already has a 2 year old and her daughter is now PG. One night she turned round to me and said "your treatment WILL work and your baby will be that much more special" and in the same breath "but have you considered adoption, i watched a tv programme on it and it's not difficult to adopt now". I was so mad i let rip, i said "so would you have said to your other kids, oh yes you can have your own baby but why don't you try and adopt instead because it's so easy now". That shut her up, lol.
I'd like to know what tv programme she watched that showed adoption to be easy.
